About: I've never not had animals in my life! I spent my early years on a working farm and have always had a way with animals. Dogs love me (cats, too!) and I them ❤️ I have many years of experience in the veterinary field and know what to do in emergencies. I am currently working part time and my schedule is flexible. I do work away from home for 5-8 hours a day, split shift. I have dogs amd cats but can keep them separate, if necessary. My dogs are dog friendly, although my beagle mix is very bossy (typical!) Dogs will be in the house with my dogs, but they can be separated, if needed. I can crate, if the parents supply the crate. Dogs will be leash walked in the wide front yard but we can also go across the street to the dog park, too!

“First time ever using the app so I was really nervous about it, but DAMACIA made me feel completely at ease. She listened to all my concerns and how to take care of my sweet boy because he is hard of hearing. She took him on a walk around the neighborhood and Maximus seemed to enjoy it. Now that the walk is over my sweet boy is passed out on the couch probably for the rest of the day. Will definitely be using her services in the near future.”

About: Hi! I am a graduate student with a flexible schedule to accommodate your busy life. I offer reliable and trustworthy pet care services, ensuring your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness. I have grown up with dogs and cats my entire life, so you can count on plenty of patience and special attention for your fur babies. Whether through regular walks, playtime, or feeding routines, I provide compassionate care tailored to each pet's individual needs. I especially love going on walks and spending time outdoors. From pet owners, I prioritize clear communication in order to meet expectations, maintain consistency, and bring peace of mind. My routine is centered around my class schedule. I am free to prioritize sitting on the majority of weekends, so that’s my main source of availability. On weekdays, I’m generally open early mornings and evenings after 5:30. Quick visits throughout the day may be possible, depending on the location, so just reach out with the details and we can coordinate. As a dedicated pet sitter with years of experience, I ensure your four-legged friend remains happy and healthy. I pay close attention to body language to know when it’s playtime or if space is needed. I always respect boundaries, though I am also adept at implementing discipline at the owner’s discretion if necessary. Getting to know your pet’s unique personality as well as their favorite toys or games is the best part of the experience for me. Look forward to receiving photo and video updates of your babies while under my care. My method of sitting revolves around specific instructions from the owner regarding their pet’s routine, preferences, and any special requirements.

You can expect regular updates, photos, and peace of mind knowing your cat is in calm, capable hands. Pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine. I maintain a flexible schedule that allows me to plan my day around visits, ensuring I’m always on time and able to provide consistent, attentive care. I’m intentional about not overbooking so each cat receives the time, attention, and calm presence they deserve. Whether it’s a quick drop-in or a longer visit, I prioritize being fully present and dependable. I focus on maintaining each cat’s normal routine so they feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. During visits, I handle feeding, fresh water, litter box care, and playtime or companionship based on your cat’s personality. I take the time to understand preferences — whether that’s interactive play, quiet company, or simply respecting their space. I’m attentive to small changes in behavior or appetite and will always communicate anything noteworthy. I also treat your home with care and respect, keeping things clean and consistent. You’ll receive regular updates and photos so you always know how your cat is doing.
About: I have helped care for the family pets since I was age ten. I do not currently have a dog of my own but I have dog sat for family friends by walking, feeding, and playing with the dogs. I currently work full time. But I have off every Tuesday and every other Weekend. I would also be able to assist in evenings as needed as long as I have a heads up so I make sure I leave work at a decent time When training the family pets when I was younger we had them in crates at night, but now they sleep in the bed. I have dog sat for family friends that had a fenced in yard and others that the dogs needed to be walked a few times a day.
“Nicole does such a great job with my baby. On days when it’s too hot she still makes sure he goes out and gets playtime and love. I absolutely love that she takes multiple pics to show what they’ve been up to. Pork Chop enjoys her visits so much”

“Bruce is great. He showed up minutes before the appointed time to be certain he was not late. He thrilled the dogs with their first ride in a convertible. He sent plenty of pictures including those that look like the dogs are smiling ear to ear. He was prepared with water during the walk and gave them breaks to rest from the heat. Our yellow lab is usually restless and constantly pulling my husband but she behaved for Bruce. I would highly recommend him.”
About: I have experience for being responsible for animals my whole life. I have 15 pets of my own and love the responsibility. I enjoying interacting with animals and giving them my full attention. Weekly I care for my own pets and would love to care for yours as well. There isn’t anything I’m not willing to do in caring for your pet. Right now I’m off from work in the summers and have a lot of time on my hands. I will follow detailed instructions on how to handle your animals and what you want to be done. I will always put their safety first and will keep that in mind at all times.
“Conrad stepped in at our late notice and took fantastic care of our two dogs! They were staying with a sitter who could not walk them, and Conrad came to the rescue with walking them for a full hour every day, reliably and on-time! He communicates really well, is really responsible, and clearly has experience with dogs. One of my dogs is also dog-reactive, and Conrad knew just how to manage any reactive signs on walks and keeps distance from other animals. He listens well to instructions and is just a great dude. I’m happily looking to making him our regular go-to pet sitter and walker whenever we need support!”

About: I’ve always been an animal person and have experience caring for dogs, cats, and reptiles, including my own ball python. I grew up with an Australian Shepherd who can be very anxious, so I’m used to being patient with nervous pets and helping them feel safe and comfortable. I’ve pet sat for animals of all different temperaments, including a cat with a more aggressive personality, so I understand the importance of respecting each animal’s boundaries and adapting to their individual needs. I love spending time outdoors and taking walks, and I know the Richmond area well. With two years of professional housekeeping experience, I’m comfortable caring for both pets and homes with the same level of respect and attention to detail I’d want for my own. My goal is to provide dependable care for both your pet and your home, while making sure your pet feels happy, safe, and loved while you’re away! I work about 20 hours a week as an esthetician and make my own schedule, which gives me plenty of flexibility to care for your pets. Because I set my own hours, I’m able to accommodate walks, drop-in visits, and pet sitting throughout the week. Spending time with animals is something I genuinely enjoy, so I would love to fit pet care into my routine. I believe every pet is different, so I do my best to follow their normal routine and make them feel as comfortable as possible. In a client’s home, I’ll make sure your pet gets plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, and affection while keeping up with their feeding schedule and any specific instructions you provide. For cats staying in my home, I’ll provide a calm, safe environment where they can settle in at their own pace. Having lived with multiple cats of various personalities, I understand that some cats are social while others prefer their space, and I’m happy to accommodate both! I will stay in regular communication, providing updates and photos so you always know how they’re doing!
About: I have two amazing dogs, Milo and Winter, that play constantly! They are best of friends and always welcome new friends. Milo is an 8 month old puppy still learning house training and making amazing progress. I found him at a rescue in Philly when I was visiting March 2026- love at first site! He clicked so well with my German Shepherd mix Winter, that I rescued in June 2025. Prior to falling in love with these two rescues, I helped foster several dogs through a local rescue- while healing from the loss of my dog of 13 years, Bella. She was a one dog household kind of girl, but Winter was just the opposite. I could tell she needed a friend, and Milo came into our lives at just the right time. I so look forward to helping care for your fur babies and will give them all the walks, plays, and cuddles they might need. I’ll ensure all your care is personalized to your dog’s specific needs. Also, would love to send you pic updates while you’re at work or adventuring! If your dog is in my care for doggy daycare, I will be home with them, unless otherwise discussed with you. If I’m hired to come walk your dog, I’ll give you a detailed update of our walk! I am home and available 7 days a week, unless I’m traveling. My dogs get lots of attention and walks. We love the James River Park system 🫶 I will ask for lots of detail about your pets specific needs so I can curate their care so they feel right at home! A home away from home.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Spring Grove
Damacia was dependable and great with the pups. We met her ahead of her walking our dogs for the week we were away, and she immediately made the dogs feel at ease. Our pup is a bit nervous as a rescue and doesn’t always take to people. She made Millie feel comfortable immediately. I would highly recommend her. She clearly loves dogs and is great at what she does.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
