About: I've been volunteering at the Richmond Animal League for over a year and have previous experience working at shelters and dog daycares. I've always loved caring for animals; I used to volunteer at the SPCA when I was younger and I have two dogs of my own that I enjoy taking on walks and playing fetch with in the backyard. I have a part-time job that I work 3-4 days a week (mostly evenings). Other than that, schedule is pretty flexible! I'm available throughout the week, as well as weekends. I'm more interested in drop-in visits and dog walking, but I'll be able to petsit for as long as you need with enough notice! For pet-sitting, I'll be able to stay and take care of your pets for as long as you need me to be there. I can stay all day and even overnight if needed, or just check in periodically throughout the day! I'll carefully follow instructions given on feeding, walks/exercise, morning and bedtime routines, medications, and just overall entertainment. I'm great with dogs of all kinds of energy, whether they want to be active all day long, or just snuggled up on the couch!

Because I am a teacher, my summers are wide open for long walks, backyard playtime, cuddles on the couch, and plenty of one-on-one attention for your pets throughout the day. During the summer, I spend most of my days at home catching up on spring cleaning, gardening, yardwork, reading, and chatting on the phone. Your pet will have human companionship for most of the day, except for occasional grocery shopping and errands. I love ALL dogs and will treat your sweet one like my own. Dogs are precious to me. Boarding dogs will have non-stop loving, cuddling, and affection. If your dog prefers to sleep alone, they can choose from two guest bedrooms with lots of comfy hiding places as well as multiple dog beds scattered throughout my home. My 1/4 acre yard is fenced in well enough for small and medium dogs. Your dog will enjoy hanging out with me while I garden or read on a blanket in the backyard, sniffing all the new smells.

About: I have had my own dogs since my early 20’s, and I’d probably have about ten more if I could. Everyone in our family has dogs, ranging from tiny Yorkipoos to big ol’ lab mixes, and I love them all! I currently have one rescue pup, Russell, who is 19 different breeds! I am patient, I don’t get grossed out easily, and I will love your pup like it’s a member of the family. My husband and I are both teachers, so we are home full-time during the summer with our two teenage kids. During the school year we work, but I’m usually home by 3:30. Our 13-year old daughter is interested in pursuing a career working with animals, so she will be assisting in the care of your pet. We have a large fenced yard and a dog-friendly house. We even have a doggie door for pups to come and go outside to the back yard as they need or want to. We have one 5-year old dog who gets along great with other pups. Usually when we dog sit, we have the visiting pup have a home base in our daughter’s room where they can be fed separately, have peace and quiet, and enjoy the best air conditioning in the house! We are a dogs on furniture house, and she even loves to let the dogs we are sitting sleep in her bed with her if they want. Your dog should expect many pets and snuggles at our house! If we are coming to your house, we will follow whatever routines and rules you’ve established for your pet. But still expect lots of love for your pet!

I wish I could have a dog of my own, but due to frequent traveling, it’s sadly not the right time for me. I would LOVE to have the opportunity to meet, play, and love on your fur baby through Rover. I currently live at home with my cat, Tobi, and my husband and daughter. They are my world and I would do any and everything for them. Caring for your baby will be no different than caring for my own fur baby. I am incredibly reliable, trustworthy, and caring and any instructions you leave for me will be followed with the utmost care to keep your fur baby happy! He is a senior and very into his ways so I was apprehensive about how he would take it. From the photos Cyndi provides daily I could tell in the first day he was relaxed and really into Cyndi. She took a great care of him and it was great to have daily updates and a place where he does need to share with other dogs.
