About: Hello! Our names are Darling and Kolby. We have experience caring for dogs of all sizes and a wide variety of breeds. We have plenty of space to host your dog, including a fully fenced yard where they can safely play and explore. We currently have two cats and a Golden Aussie of our own, and we grew up surrounded by animals such as Rottweilers, Pit Bulls, Chihuahuas, Poodles, and more. Because of this, we are very comfortable managing a multi-pet household. If your pet has any allergies or special dietary needs, we are happy to accommodate them. I work remotely so I am able to spend more time with my dog during the day, and he gets to play in the yard for the majority of the day. About: I am a retired military vet i served in the Army for twenty one years. I have cared for dogs my entire life. No matter what size the dog is I can handle them. They call me the dog whisperer. Most times people ask me what did I do to make the dog relax. I have a really soft caring voice, that is very tusting I will care for cats but I don't have as much experience with cats as I do with dogs. I will also care for other animals if needed I also have knowledge to house train puppies. I am fully aware of how to treat a older dogs with medical issues. Bottom line leaving your dog with me is like leaving them with family I work part time. I don't work weekends or holidays. I will have more than enough time with your fur baby. I'm home most days. All day I have a fenced in yard. I also have a doggie door so they will have full access inside and out. I find most dogs really enjoy that

I know how hard it is to trust your dog is in good hands, and to feel happy, and safe. I love snapping photos and sharing with you all that me and your fur baby do during our visit, (and not afraid to inspect poop to ensure your pet is healthy and report when a concern.) My dogs have been through various trainings and would be happy to share my knowledge while I spend time with your pet. I have over 5 years experience with pets with medical needs varying from administering sub-q fluids to medications to inhalers for the cat-kiddos. My girl has hypo-thyroid and has to take a pill twice a day. With my experience with medically-needy animals I am hyper aware of the smallest changes in behaviors in a short period of time and can offer varying tricks with administering for the ones who aren’t big fans. Side note: I do have travel minute limit, for those east of 95, that is within the time limit if the $5ish toll is taken, otherwise it would take over 30 mins. If you are okay with an additional charge of $6 to cover toll, I will be more than happy to assist! I work from home so I get a lot of quality time with my babies. Where I see opportunities to train, I take advantage. Training is a daily on going activity. My animals eat twice a day on snuffle mats with a kibble and veggie/fruit medley. In short, pet care is part of my routine. When hired to do check-ins I like to spend my first time with the pet observing knowing I’m a stranger and I want to not overwhelm. I will read the vibes and either interact more or keep a distance depending on their body language and how they are reacting to me. I know pets sometimes have a tendency to be more reserved or hesitant to do their normal activities. I try to connect and bond during this time as well with treats (if provided) and positive quiet communication.

About: I have had at least one dog all of my life. Often times more than one. Currently living with just one Lab who would love a visitor/playmate. I foster emergency overnights on rescue transports. I have been a caregiver for dogs of all ages and kinds; puppies, senior dogs, and dogs with separation anxiety. I have grandcats I house sit for and have also taken care of chickens. I work from home with tons of flexibility. I have one adult child at home in graduate school, they have a health condition which keeps them home most days too, so your pet is never short of human companionship. I live in a great neighborhood for walks on a leash. I provide dog sitting in a one story home with a large, wooded fenced yard in central Richmond neighborhood. Great for dogs of all ages and abilities. I live with one Lab that's a large couch potato. He also likes his human to sit outside with him rather than be out there all by himself. So we spend lots of time outside together. Pets are permitted on furniture and the bed, whatever makes them feel at home. I do have a large dog crate that can be set up if needed, but only if requested as it will put your pet at ease. The most important factor is making sure your pet feels comfortable, keeping their routines and habits to lessen the stress of a new place.
