About: I've been caring for dogs and cats since I was a child and have experience with pets of different ages, sizes, and personalities. Growing up around animals taught me how to provide attentive care, including feeding, walking, playtime, administering basic care, and making sure pets feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and treat every pet as if they were my own. My goal is to provide dependable, loving care and give pet parents peace of mind. I have experienced with administering medications, anxious, and reactive pets. Pet care has always been a natural part of my daily life. I enjoy spending time with animals and make time each day to feed, walk, play, and provide companionship. My schedule is flexible enough to accommodate pet visits and walks while maintaining a consistent routine, so pets receive the attention and care they need. I prioritize each pet's safety and comfort by carefully following the owner's instructions and maintaining their normal routine. I make sure doors, gates, and windows are secure, keep potentially harmful items out of reach, and closely monitor pets during walks and playtime. I also pay attention to each pet's behavior and needs so they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while their owner is away.

I look forward to meeting you and your fur babies soon! I am a full-time petsitter, pet and human mom with lots of availability! If I'm not caring for my human child or my pets or someone else's, I am available, and looking forward to caring for your fur babies! I am available for housesits and have lots of local experience. I can take your dogs on walks, feed, bathe, brush and snuggle them. Our pets are up to date on vaccinations and flee/tick medication and prefer that yours are as well!
“In addition to boarding our dog with Jade several times, she has also walked Rex several times. He is beyond excited when she arrives and loves the long walks. I highly recommend Jade for quality of care, reliability, and communication.”

About: Hi All, My name is Alessandria but I prefer to be called Alekx and no the K is not a typo. My hair color is subject to change but it's just dyed hair braided into my natural hair. I have been caring for animals professionally since 2006, until 2013 where I took a leap in a different field of work. I use to move all over the country but I am home and hoping to start pet sitting as my main job. I have a guinea pig by the named Tikka Teacake and she is a little siren but she is my 3rd guinea pig. I am a non-smoker and prefer days curled up with fluffy creatures and a good book. In regards to my experience I have worked at pets resorts such as Sunny Acres where I had a few loyal dogs that I dearly miss. I have owned large dog breeds my whole life and grew up with pure breed Rottweilers, German Shepherd mixes, and my current lovely mutt. I have been doing home pet sitting for over a decade. I usually spend most the day when I am at home entertaining my pets or letting them have free run of the backyard with regular check ins. I make sure that their food is good for their stomach, their daily exercise if playing outside with a normal dose of petting and grooming. I recently got off of medical leave so I have started short nightly walks and we work out together to stay happy and healthy. I am a big night owl so I love watching my dogs snore about. A safe home is one your pet recognizes as the pack den. I care for all pets with repetitive training, health care checks, grooming, and dental care as long as they will let me. I love to make a home pet safe by avoiding choking hazards and loose cables. (Mainly because my guinea pig is a little menace). Medications are taken with timers and usually snuck into foods. I like keeping basic training habits are maintained so that the pets do not unlearn anything their humans have taught them.
About: I have cared for dogs of all different ages and breeds from senior Italian Greyhounds to Leonberger puppies. Safety and comfort are my top priorities for pups and I believe every dog needs his or her special time to just be a dog during the day. I have a lot of free time to dedicate to your pup! I am experienced with administering medicine to older dogs/dogs with anxiety. I also have the energy and patience for younger dogs, and am able to walk multiple dogs at a time, if it is needed. I’m available for walks and overnight stays. I have reliable transportation for doggy day adventures! I look forward to hearing from you. Please feel free to ask my any questions you may have. I currently have open availability and am looking forward to meeting new doggo friends for day care, overnight care, walks, and drop-ins. I can't wait to meet your furry family member! When I'm dog-sitting or walking, I am happily and fully committed to your pup. No dog is the same, just as no person is the same. Each family has its own culture and needs. I want your animal friend to be as comfortable as possible, so I will follow any routines or dreams you have for them.
About: I’ve loved dogs all my life, and finally convinced my mom to adopt a dog during Covid. I’ve lived with roommates’ dogs for most of the past 5 years, and now I’m considering getting my own. But in the meantime I’m trying out the gig economy with pet sitting and some fostering opportunities :) I am flexible with what services I can offer based on your needs. Please reach out with any questions! My summer schedule is pretty flexible apart from a part-time retail job. I live in Carrboro but I am often in Durham and am willing to travel to pet sit. I tend to be home in the evenings and love to have a pet share tv-time with me :) I will not be keeping dogs in my own home, so safety and security will depend on the owners house and preferences. Happy to discuss further

About: Hello, I have experience caring for dogs through dog walking, drop-in visits, and overnight pet sitting. I have also pet sat for a friend for about a month on and off, where I helped with feeding, walks, playtime, and making sure the dogs were comfortable and safe while their owner was away. I also have pets of my own, so I understand the importance of making sure animals are well cared for, loved, and safe. I’m very responsible, active, and attentive to pets’ needs. As a college softball player, I’m used to having a structured schedule and staying committed, so I always make sure pets get the care, attention, and exercise they need. Also For the First three 2-3 Clients who book me I’m willing to give $20 off first booking!! ;) https://www.rover.com/sit/sierrs94440 Pet care fits naturally into my daily and weekly routine. As a college softball player, I am very accustomed to maintaining a structured schedule, staying organized, and managing my time effectively. This allows me to provide reliable and consistent care for pets while balancing my other responsibilities. I intentionally schedule my availability so I can give each pet the attention, exercise, and care they deserve. Whether it’s drop-in visits, dog walks, feeding, playtime, or overnight pet sitting, I make sure every pet receives personalized care based on their needs and routine. As both a pet owner and an active Rover sitter, caring for animals is something I genuinely enjoy. Spending time with pets is one of the best parts of my day, and I always strive to make them feel safe, comfortable, loved, and well cared for while their owners are away. I also love keeping owners updated with photos and messages so they can have peace of mind knowing their fur babies are happy and in good hands. I currently provide care in my clients’ homes through drop-in visits, dog walking, and overnight pet sitting. Because I have two cats of my own at home, I do not offer boarding, but I am committed to providing excellent care in the environment where your pet feels most comfortable. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I do my best to maintain their normal routine. This includes feeding, fresh water, potty breaks, walks, playtime, litter box cleaning, medication administration if needed, and plenty of love and attention. I understand that pets thrive on consistency, so I follow any instructions provided to ensure they feel safe, comfortable, and stress-free while you’re away. I treat every home with respect and every pet as if they were my own. Whether your pet is energetic and loves long walks or prefers quiet companionship, I adjust my care to meet their individual needs. I also love sending frequent updates, photos, and videos so owners can feel confident that their fur babies are happy, safe, and receiving the best possible care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
