She always let me know when she was on her way, and helped me with him when he split a toenail on a walk! Bugsy loved seeing her every day and went with her every time, with no issues! She even carried him a few times when he needed it!!”

She went above and beyond - took in our packages, took up our trash, and even cleaned up kitty litter that the cats tracked through the house. Her communication was amazing and she sent regular updates and pictures. We felt so comfortable having Nicole at our home while we were gone. About: I know firsthand how stressful it can be to leave your pets with someone new. I’ve lived all across the country, and every time we moved, one of my biggest worries was finding someone I truly trusted with my dogs. That experience is a big part of why I want to provide the same kind of care and reassurance I’ve always looked for in a sitter. Animals have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. I have three dogs and two cats of my own, including a rescue pup so I totally get having a dog with some special quirks. I also spend time taking dogs from Louisville Metro Animal Services (LMAS) out on field trips, giving them a chance to get out of the shelter, explore, play, and get some much-deserved one-on-one attention. I have a soft spot for the pets who need a little extra patience. One of my dogs is extremely anxious and terrified of thunderstorms, so I understand that not every dog immediately warms up to a new person — and that’s okay! I’m happy to take things at their pace and learn what makes them feel comfortable and safe. I’m comfortable caring for dogs of all sizes, as well as cats, and I’m comfortable administering medications and following detailed care routines. My experiences as a pediatric ICU nurse has taught me to be attentive to small changes, stay clam under pressure, follow detailed care instructions, and understand just how important it is to have someone you can trust caring for a member of your family. My dogs can be pretty anxious, so leaving them with a stranger has never been easy for me. I’m the pet parent who wants lots of updates and probably way too many pictures while I’m gone! When your pets are with me, expect plenty of photos and updates. I know how reassuring it is to see your dog happily lounging on the couch, enjoying their walk, or just being their goofy self while you’re away. I want you to enjoy your time away without wondering how things are going back home. Most importantly, I genuinely love spending time with animals. Whether your dog wants long walks, someone to throw their toy 100 times, or spend the evening curled up next to me, I’m happy to meet them where they are. I want you to be able to leave home knowing your pets are with someone who understands how much they mean to you - because I know exactly how that feels. I work full-time, but I have a flexible schedule that still leaves plenty of room for pet care! I work from home on Wednesdays and Fridays, which gives me even more flexibility for drop-ins, walks, and spending some extra time with your pets on those days. I’m also an early riser, so morning visits are no problem for me — I’m happy to start my day with a walk, breakfast, litter box cleanup, or some quality time with your pet before heading to work. I know how important reliable scheduling is when someone is depending on you to care for their pets, so I’ll keep my Rover calendar updated to clearly reflect my availability. If I accept a booking, you can feel confident that I’ve made sure I have the time to give your pet the attention and care they deserve — along with plenty of photo updates along the way! Your pet’s safety and your trust are my top priorities. I’ll always follow your care instructions closely and respect your home as if it were my own. Before walks, I’ll make sure collars, harnesses, and leashes are secure, and I’ll never let a dog off leash unless specifically instructed in a safe, designated area. During drop-ins, I’ll be mindful of doors, gates, medications, food, and anything else that could pose a safety risk. I’ll also pay attention to your pet’s behavior and never force interaction if they seem nervous or uncomfortable. As a pediatric ICU nurse, safety, attention to detail, and noticing when something seems “off” are second nature to me. I’ll keep you updated during each visit and communicate right away if I notice anything concerning. My goal is for you to feel completely comfortable knowing both your pet and your home are being treated with care and respect while you’re away.

About: I was a three times a day dog walker for an elderly neighbor. When she passed I took ownership of dog. Now I am looking for some new clients. I am now full for my lunch time. I have openings in the morning and at night. If you are flexible with your availability I maybe able to squeeze you in earlier or later. I work from home and dog walk. I have the time to give to your pup tons of walks, play with them, and give lots of kisses. Fridays are dog park day! I can play with your dog in your home. Give your pup a break from the crate and have me walk and get play with your dog.

About: What sets me apart from others sitters? Well I don’t always sit. I get up and move around making sure your favorite gets the exercise they need and deserve. I spend the time to build rapport with your pet so that they are happy and healthy. We can look at each other’s schedules and see if it works. If it does awesome!!! Yay for Us. If not we can figure something out. I even have some friends on this app that I can refer. I can accommodate your pet in just about anyway that you need. You just let me know of specifications and I can assist them. Within means that is.

We received updates & pictures of our girls twice a day & we could tell they were happy & feeling loved. We were gone for a week & our dogs normally don’t eat much at all when we are gone, but they felt comfortable & safe enough with Brandon & Leah that they did! Our trip was so much more enjoyable knowing that our girls were in the best hands! We give them the highest recommendation!”

About: I've had animals my entire life and have years of hands-on experience caring for dogs and cats of all ages, personalities and needs. I currently have two dogs and three cats of my own, and I also volunteer at an animal shelter so I'm very comfortable with shy pets, seniors, high-energy dogs and everything in between. What sets me apart is my calm, loving, devoted one-on-one approach I bring every service. Whether I'm boarding your dog, stopping in for a potty break or pet sesh, hosting daycare or taking your pup for a walk, your pet gets patience, gentleness, clear communication and genuine love. I'm silly with the dogs, respectful of the cats, recognize boundaries and am always attuned to each animal's comfort level. I currently have a very flexible schedule so I'm available for pet care throughout the week. I'm home most of the day which means plenty of attention, playtime, potty breaks and a calm and consistent routine for your pet. I offer walks and drop-ins throughout the week and boarding and daycare on weekends. I love building my schedule around each pet to make sure they feel safe and cared for. My home is calm, clean and pet-friendly, with two gentle resident dogs who are great with visitors. I'm experienced with slow introductions and always prioritize safety, comfort and respecting each pet's boundaries. I can crate your dog if needed, keep close supervision during yard time and follow any routines or rules your pet is used to. In your home I maintain the same level of care - keeping things predictable, secure and tailored to your pet's needs.

About: What sets me apart is the genuine love and patience I bring to every pet I care for. I treat each animal like my own—with attention, compassion, and understanding. I have hands-on experience with dogs of all ages, from high-energy puppies needing structure and training reinforcement, to senior dogs who require a slower pace and extra TLC. I’m confident with administering oral medications, managing specific dietary needs, and reading body language to make sure pets feel safe and comfortable. Whether it’s working on basic commands, easing separation anxiety, or just providing a cozy cuddle buddy while you’re away—I adapt to each pet’s individual needs. I also prioritize communication with pet parents, so you’ll always feel in the loop with updates and photos to ease your mind. Pet care is something I naturally build my routine around—it’s not just a job, it’s something I genuinely enjoy. Whether it’s early morning walks, midday playtime, or evening feedings and snuggles, I structure my days to make sure pets are getting the consistent attention and care they need. My schedule is flexible, which allows me to be fully present for each pet I care for. I’m committed to creating a calm, comfortable environment, sticking to their routines as closely as possible, and making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or in yours, my top priority is creating a calm, loving, and safe environment where your pet feels right at home. I stick closely to their usual routine—mealtimes, walks, potty breaks, playtime, and any medications—because I know consistency helps them feel secure. In your home, I treat your space with total respect, keeping everything clean and leaving it just as I found it. I take time to get to know your pet’s personality and needs—whether that means extra playtime, slow-paced walks, or just keeping them company. If pets are staying with me, they’ll have a cozy, pet-friendly space with lots of love, toys, and attention. I keep a close eye on behavior, eating habits, and energy levels, and I’ll always keep you updated with regular messages and photos so you can relax knowing your pet is in great hands.

FAQs for Pet Sitting - Wildwood

Frequently asked questions about Rover

Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.

You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.

Before booking, confirm:

  • the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
  • the care instructions the sitter should follow;
  • which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
  • how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.

Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .

sitters on Rover set their own , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.

Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
