Relaxing on the couch with a furry friend is always good.
“Sarah took really good care of our dogs. When we got them back you could tell they had a wonderful day exploring and playing in the pool to keep cool on a very hot day. We would definitely book with Sarah again in the future.”

About: Have taken care of animals most of my life. I usually babysit/check on animals and let them out for our neighbors dogs before we moved from Indiana to Wickenburg. I currently do not have a full time job. My husband is usually gone for work during the day so I am home all day. We do not have a fenced in yard, but can take them out with a leash. We have one cat, and one small dog. We usually have to take our dog and walk with her to go to the bathroom.
“Trisha is very accommodating and so good with Love. She very good at keeping me posted on Loves activities. This is my second time having Trisha dog sit Love. She'll be my go to person when i'm in town.”

“Clare was wonderful! She provided everything we needed for our dogs. She was accommodating when our transportation plan to pick up at the end of the days was seriously compromised. She communicated throughout the day about how the dogs were doing and also responded immediately when informed that we would be delayed by quite a bit. She was gracious and kind as well. I have already recommended her to friends and will use her again when we return to this area.”

We will develop a long term relationship so I can be there for you whenever you travel or need to be away. Your pets will get to know me and feel comfortable and won't stress when you are gone. I think it's important for pets to be in a place that they are familiar with in your home or my home. It's far better than taking them anywhere else. If friends are supposed to come over and take care of your babies, they may run over just before you get home and will not give you the care you hoped for. We know, as this has happened to us. Also, kennels are the worst. Never take them them there. I'm your guy and you will be very pleased with my service and attentiveness. Give me a try

“Bethany was wonderful with our Axel. She communicated daily and sent pictures to show how much fun he had with her dogs. We’re all very happy and we will happily have Bethany care for Axel again.”

“Apryl was great and I can tell that Cooper thoroughly enjoyed his time with her. She will go above and beyond to make sure your pup is comfortable and I appreciated the photo/video updates. I would highly recommend!”

“Jackie was great. She gave my wife and I a tour of her home where our dog Lulu would be playing with Jackie's 5 other dogs, so Lulu has plenty of furiends to interact with! Jackie has a good sized yard (+/- 30' x 40') of just artificial turf for the pups to romp on and a doggie door for the dogs to go in/out as they need to. Lulu seems to enjoy her stays at Jackie's and comes home tired from playing...which is the point of daycare!”

About: I have had all types of animals in my life since I was very young. I’ve done light training for my personal dogs and have raised kittens from bottle feeding. I am patient and easy going so pets adapt well to me. I am always drawn to animals and have rescued many wondering dogs in my neighborhood. I’m responsible and hard working, so you will always have a reliable person watching over your pets. If there is anything you want to know more about, feel free to inquire. Thanks for taking the time to read this short summary about me. I work from home and am on calls on and off throughout the day. I am able to attend to pets between calls like I do my own pets. I have a huge fenced backyard, currently just dirt. There is a dog door to our side yard where our pups potty. I have all tile so messes are not a big deal!
“Our buck has now been to tammys a few times. He is always happy when we pick him him up and he is loved by tammy and her family:) tammy has been more than flexible and worked with us to take him last minute. We will continue to bring buck to tammy as long as she will have him!”

About: Hi there! I’ve been a dog lover my entire life and have always had dogs as part of my family. Caring for animals isn’t just something I do, it’s something I truly love. I’m very patient, compassionate, and attentive to each pet’s unique personality and needs. While I’m not a certified trainer, I have personally trained my own dogs in basic commands, fun tricks, and positive behaviors using consistency and encouragement. I understand how important routine, structure, and affection are for happy, well balanced pets. I currently have two friendly, playful dogs of my own who love making new friends. Your pet will be treated like family in my home with plenty of love, supervision, and playtime. For boarding, I prefer to schedule a meet and greet beforehand to ensure we’re a great fit and that everyone feels comfortable. I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your “fur baby”. I would want the same peace of mind! If you have any questions or would like to get to know me better, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I look forward to meeting you and your pet! Currently I work from home, pet care naturally fits into my daily routine. I have the flexibility to create my own schedule, which allows me to accommodate drop-ins throughout the week at times that work best for you and your pet. Being home based also means I can give pets plenty of attention, supervision, and consistency rather than rushing in and out. Your pet’s care will always be a priority in my day. When pets stay in my home, they become part of the family. We have a spacious backyard with plenty of room to run, play, and burn off energy in a safe environment. My two friendly Golden Retrievers are well socialized and get along great with other dogs, making it a fun and welcoming atmosphere for visiting pups. In both my home and my clients’ homes, I prioritize safety, routine, and individualized care. I follow your pet’s usual schedule as closely as possible whether that means structured playtime, relaxing cuddle time, feeding routines, walks, or special instructions. My goal is to make every pet feel comfortable, secure, and loved while you’re away. I’m here to provide the best experience possible for your dog or cat and to give you peace of mind knowing they’re in caring, capable hands.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in AZ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
