I’ve had many different pets along the way, but currently only have one cat Penny. My kids are grown and out of the house so I have lots of flexibility. I work as a teacher but available most weekends, and maybe even during the week depending on the circumstances. You are opening your home to me and that is something that I do not take lightly. About: Experience caring for anxious and/or special needs animals (diapers, mobility issues, medication, senior dogs, puppies) both professionally and personally. I’ve had dogs my entire life and have been pet sitting on and off for family friends and neighbors since I was a teenager, but started doing so more professionally in the past 5 years. Most of my experience is with overnight care for dogs (ranging from a single night to a full month at a time) but I’m an animal lover with personal experience caring for every kind of pet imaginable (horses, ferrets, fish, cats, bunnies, reptiles/tortoises). I work very flexible hours part-time which mostly consists of work from home, this leaves my schedule wide open for overnight care and long stays. Very good at keeping consistency with feeding and medication schedules, as well as making sure potty breaks taken as frequently as needed (experience with special needs dogs who require being let outside/cleaned up after much more than other dogs).

About: Growing up I’ve always had a soft spot for pets of all kinds especially dogs. I’ve had dogs ranging from different breeds including cocker spaniels, miniature schnauzers, pit bulls, and yorkies just to name a few. About: I have had dogs most of my life. When I moved to Arizona after my husband passed away several years ago my dog stayed back home with my oldest son and grandkids. I met a woman shortly after I had lived here and she had a liter of kittens with only two left she couldn’t take care of and so I adopted them and what do you know I loved them so much and discovered I am not just a “dog” person, I’m a “pet” person, I love them all ! But aside from that I would say that if I know what the pet is most comfortable with, what makes them feel safe and secure, I do my best to make sure they feel that way and cater to their needs. My family and I also work with & foster for a local dog rescue. I recently fostered a litter of 8 puppies with mama from birth to adoption (ended up foster failing on one😀).
