“Jeanne is a wonderful dog sitter! This was our first time using Rover and Jeanne made the entire process so easy. She was extremely accommodating to our specific needs for Nairobi’s daycare. Nairobi and her dog Kona got along so well and Jeanne sent us pictures and updates every day. We know we have found our go to dog sitter and we look forward to having our pup stay with her again.”

“Clare was wonderful! She provided everything we needed for our dogs. She was accommodating when our transportation plan to pick up at the end of the days was seriously compromised. She communicated throughout the day about how the dogs were doing and also responded immediately when informed that we would be delayed by quite a bit. She was gracious and kind as well. I have already recommended her to friends and will use her again when we return to this area.”
“Randy and Kay took excellent care of our french bulldog puppy. This was his first time away from us, but I felt totally at ease once I dropped him off. Randy and Kay were thoughtful enough to send updates. We would be happy to use them again!”
About: I recently lost both of my fur babies of 13 years. The house feels empty and would love to share it with some pups that need love and care. I work from home and have a very flexible schedule for regular potty breaks, walks and snuggles. My yard is large and fully fenced in. I have a large yard and live in a great neighborhood for walks. The house is also pretty big for roaming. My children are here half time and love animals.
“We have 111lb puppy that requires the right person to handle him so not to allow or create unwanted behaviors; all the while providing a positive safe environment for him and others around him. Typically our large child is skeptical of people in general , which made it tough to find someone we are comfortable leaving him with. In this case we have never seen our pup fall in love with anyone the way he did with Evan. It didn’t take two times upon Ripp staying with him! That’s how long it took me to write the review! Ripp was putty in Evan’s hands in the first 30 minutes he handled him! Our big boy will only get bigger and we couldn’t be more thankful that he(we) will be able to grow with Evan guiding us all. Ripp knows exactly where he’s getting to go when we ask him if he wants to go see Evan! Lol It brings so much joy for us to see how happy he is when we are dropping him off and picking him up. Ripp isn’t just a dog to us , he’s our second round of children!! We are empty nesters that fell in love with a beast! 🐾❤️”

“Excellent experience each time our dog has stayed with Julia and her family! He was happy and well cared for and we appreciate the daily updates and photos. Highly recommend!”

About: My first dog I got when I was in the 4th grade. She changed my life. Now I’ve never been able to connect with a dog on that level since her but I still love them. & hope some day I will be able to give my kids that. I am a single mom with 3 kids under the age of 6. Adding a fur baby to the mix just isn’t in the cards for me right now. & after this year I’m looking to get back on my feet. So I thought this could be a good way to make some extra money to help us. We are a very active bunch. Love hiking, walking, and pretty much anything outdoors. Like I said before we are always outside. I like to take walks in the morningsevenings. Love hiking. I work from home so I can make my own schedule. Depends on the dog. Just like my kids each one is different. What works for one might not work for the other. I would like to mimic as much as the dogs normal as possible.
About: I have taken care of dogs, cats, and horses since I was 8 years old. I grew up in a rural area, running around farms and have always had a special place in my heart for animals. Now as an adult I have over 23 years of experience as a pet owner. You can trust us to provide exceptional pet sitting services for your furry friend. We work remotely and will be with your dog throughout the day. We have medium cattle dog mix of our own that is extremely friendly and loves to play with other dogs of all sizes. I am currently working in a hybrid position with a flexible schedule. This allows me take breaks to play with the dogs and ensure they are able to go outside to potty during the day. We have a fenced yard and own one medium sized dog. We do have a doggy door so they can go in and out as needed. I have a crate if your dog needs to be crated and we need to go out of the house. We have several soft dog beds for them to nap in as well.
“They were awesome! Georgie had a blast and played with their dogs. Got lots of pics and videos and was his first time with other people and he had so much fun. Definitely sending him over again! Thank you both!”
“Deanna and her husband were the absolute best with our girl, Zelda! Zelda was at doggy day care with them and doesn’t do the best when she’s alone so we were very happy that they were home during the day. Their home was very nice and clean (: Zelda gave Deanna a little hug when we left. Will definitely go back to them for doggy daycare!”

“Kelli is amazing! My sweet puppy is shy and gentle but she warmed up to Kelli very quickly. Luna came home all tuckered out bc she played so hard with Kelli’s other pups. Kelli’s house is right off the 101 too which is really convenient.”

About: I've owned dogs most of my life and they are such a huge part of the family. I know how hard it is to leave them because I experience the same thing and rely on trustworthy people to watch my dog. I will treat your dog like I treat my own With lots of love, care and attention. I live in a friendly safe environment and your dog will feel at home here. I am retired and have time to care for your dog. Also my husband works from home so there is always someone around. I would enjoy looking after your dog. I enjoy walks and playtime and cuddling. Dogs truly bring happiness to every home. I just love them! I live in a community with a fenced in yard. I have a five year-old 23 pound cavapoo. He is very social and loves others. We have a nice community for walks and my dog looks forward to them all the time. I do have a crate if that was needed but it is not necessary if your dog is behaved and potty trained. My dog uses bells on the doors when he needs to go out. We Never let our dog outside unattended. They're allowed up on the furniture and to sleep with us. They are part of the family.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in AZ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
