“Laura is quick to communicate and so friendly and caring. She made us feel completely at ease while being away from our beloved cats for nearly 2 weeks. Will definitely use her services again!”

About: I've lived with pets my entire life, so I understand the importance of caring for your furry friends. I currently care for three cats of my own, and look after my mother's dog when she leaves the house. I plan my own schedule through a delivery job, so I am available at most times to care for your pets! Excluding Sunday evenings and Monday mornings, I am readily available to help. I have a large fenced-in yard for dogs to run and play. My mother's dog lives at my house, so I can either keep them separated or let them play together depending on your dog's preferences! I can also crate your dog inside. I keep a baby gate at my master bedroom door so that dogs cannot access my three cats and no one gets hurt!
“Rachael was so kind! We couldn’t have asked for a better pet sitter! From the moment we met, we felt completely at ease. The photos meant so much to us. It’s such a gift knowing your fur babies are in caring, capable hands. Highly recommend!”

“Doug was great; he went above and beyond what was expected. There is some sibling rivalry between my two cats and he made sure both of them had a chance to eat by sticking around and feeding them in separate rooms if need be. He also kept an eye on the house, and kept me informed of any suspicious activity in the neighborhood, made sure our windows were locked, took out the trash, etc. He was very communicative and responsive. This definitely made me feel more at ease during our trip. When the Microsoft crash shut all the airlines down, he reached out to see if our flight was affected and said he could keep feeding the cats if needed. I would highly recommend Doug for other pet owners, and would definitely use his services again in the future.”

“Kyla was absolutely amazing! My cat can be temperamental, but Kyla handled it with ease and grace. So much thoughtfulness went into each update, and I felt completely at ease knowing Kyla was checking in on our furbaby.”

“Katherine was so professional, kind, and communicative! She came by super early in the morning to make sure our girl got her breakfast. It made my vacation so much better knowing our sweet kitty had a friend while we were gone! We will definitely be booking her again!”

About: I have 2 big dogs of my own as well as a cat. I’ve taken care of all of them since they were little puppies and kitties. One of my dogs is medicated and I’m happy to assist you with medications if needed. I have past experience walking/ looking after my neighbors, family’s and friends dogs and cats. I am currently a student so during the summer I am completely free. I prefer Monday- Friday but am happy to help on weekends. I don’t have a problem with early mornings or late nights. Whatever is convenient to you! I have an electric fence to conceal my two dogs. Although we have this, I never leave them outside without my eyesight on them. I try to keep my eye on them as much as possible to avoid anything that could go wrong/ prevent harm to your home.

“Brittany was fantastic with helping check in our new kitty, Steve. She arrived on time and sent many updates and photos. When our kitty was a bit nervous, she sat and read to him which was so sweet.❤️ Definitely recommend her to take care of your fur babies!”

“Jessica has taken such good care of our pups! She has always been on time and every detail done. The pictures were great since we missed our pups so much! Will definitely use her again.”

“Melissa was wonderful and communicated if there was any questions or concerns that she deemed important. Dexter was well taken care of and he he seemed to have like her conpany.”

“She took such good care of my kitty, champagne, super last minute and managed to squeeze me in during a busy holiday. Grateful for her services and I will use her in the future.”

“Anita always makes the time to care for my cat Prince, we really appreciate your cat sitting skills and compassion. Will be back again and again booking with her!”

“Amazing as always! We have used Amber multiple times to watch our critters. She’s very loving and caring. Always makes sure to communicate with us about any concern. Highly recommend!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - White Hill
She is our favorite. We trust her to take care of our needy little diva cats. One of our cats has to take daily oral medication and Marsha takes care of that and has never had a problem. It’s a great piece of mind knowing we have somebody we can trust. She’s even let me extend her services before last minute due to a family emergency. I can’t recommend her enough.

Kyla was absolutely wonderful. She took great care of our cats and even helped keep an eye on our chickens while we were out of town. She was always quick to respond to messages and sent us a ton of photos along with her daily check-in review. My wife and I were able to spend our vacation at ease knowing that everything was a-okay back at home. Kyla will be our go-to sitter moving forward.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in White Hill. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
