Pet care experience
I love all animals!
I have been taking care of all animals since I was 6 on my grandparent's farm. They taught me how to work with cattle, horses, chickens, roosters and of course dogs and cats. We had several barn cats that I have loved growing up and it was my responsibility to make sure they were fed, watered and in good health. I learned from our vet as a child what to look for to make sure they were healthy and how to do basic wound care if needed. I have had dogs all my life at home and in my rescue as an adult. My dad helped me learn simple training skills of how to teach a dog to sit, lay, and walk on a leash. I have worked with other trainers with my dogs to grow in these skills for my dogs that I have rescued so when they go to a new home, they have the basic manners adopters are looking for. Senior and hospice care are my specialties right now with most of my dogs are older and needing special food that I make from a recipe I learned when I worked for a dog food company that used only human grade food. My seniors with no teeth or cancer, thrive on this food and that makes me happy to know I'm helping them get the best years of their life. I work closely with my vets to make sure those that need meds are getting the proper dose and anything else to age well. I am well versed in giving meds to young and older dogs, even those that hate taking their medication will usually let me give it to them. Patience is a virtue here!

Qualifications
Safety, trust & environment
I would ask you for your routine with your pet so I can follow that when you are at work or relaxing on vacation. I would keep your pet in your house so they could feel relaxed and comfortable while you are gone, if you have me working while you are on vacation. I would make sure I have numbers of important people like your vet, should something happen that I needed to get help for. We would do a meet and greet before services started so I can get a feel for your pet and what he or she likes best.
Ratings and reviews
Marsha is a great dog sitter . You can truly see her love for animals . We know our dog was in great hands !

She is our favorite. We trust her to take care of our needy little diva cats. One of our cats has to take daily oral medication and Marsha takes care of that and has never had a problem. It’s a great piece of mind knowing we have somebody we can trust. She’s even let me extend her services before last minute due to a family emergency. I can’t recommend her enough.

Marsha went above and beyond taking care of my cat and chickens!! I got daily photos and updates. Will definitely use her in the future!!
Great service! Tikki wants to thank for all of the belly rubs.

Schedule
I work early morning shifts so I’m usually off by 10am to walk, love on and help take care of your dogs or cats. I run a rescue also so my dogs and cats, turtles all have a routine we do each day after I get off work.
- Cats0 to 15 lbs16 to 40 lbs41 to 100 lbsover 101 lbsMarsha can host up to 3 drop-ins per day
- Please let me know if your pet has any special needs or medication instructions so I can prepare for how this is done in your house. I will ask for the dosing instructions to be written down if needed, and go over this carefully before you leave. Any quirks or behaviors that are important, I will ask for or if you would like to write them down for me, that would be great. Give me ideas on what you do with your pet on a daily basis so I can do this too and make them feel more comfortable after the initial meet and greet.
