“I love when Paula stays with my Boston Terrier (Frank.) I come home to a calm sweet dog who is played out and has been loved. Paula takes super wonderful pictures of Frank happy to be with her. Paula is the best!”

“Amanda was great and worked around my specific requests with timing and all of my dogs personalities. She sent updates and pictures and never delayed in response. My dogs seemed to like her and be comfortable with her so we will be booking for future stays. Thanks so much, Amanda.”
“Tara watched our pups for an extended stay while we were away for our wedding and honeymoon and was great! Excellent communication across the board and kept us up to date daily with updates, photos, etc. she made sure our house was nice and cleaned up upon our return, and I know our dogs were in excellent hands. She did a great job as well with one of our dogs who was dealing with some anxiety while we were away which led to some accidents etc. would highly recommend for any pet care!”

“Our pups had a safe and fun week with Shelby. She made sure they were fed, exercised and got lots of love and cuddle time. Our youngest pup who is still pretty shy with new people warmed up to Shelby very quickly.”

About: I am the youngest of 4 girls and we always got the same pets together. But for some reason, my pets always lived the longest! I like to think its because I took the time to train, play and love on my pets. My first pet was when I was 7: a hermit crab. Then a finch, a parakeet, a hamster and a rabbit. My hamster even knew his name, Ted, like a teddy bear. So when all the hamsters escaped their cage, only Ted came back! When my family got our first dog, Kovu, I quickly became his best friend (after my dad, of course). I taught him sit, down, shake, spin and roll over. We got a second dog, Hercules, who I taught all those tricks to as well as beg! Herc was a little more agile than Hunky Kovu. Kovu went on to learn how to retrieve their dog bowls for dinner and to help carry bags of trash to the trashcan or groceries to the house. As Herc got older, he became more anxious. So I’d give him extra cuddles every 4th of July and put on his vest that felt like a hug around him. Both Kovu and Herc have gone on to Dog Heaven after 14 years of life each. And I’ve gone on to live with a roommate with a very skiddish, anxious dog to owning two rescues with my Husband, Jax and Milo. They too, know all the tricks I taught my family dogs and have learned to be great around our 6-month old baby. I’m working part time in the early morning hours on Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays. Otherwise, I am free pretty much all day to care for your fur babies. If you have a fenced yard, I’ll make sure to get them plenty outside time for play. If not, I’m happy to take them for walks throughout the day. I’ll make sure to clean up after them so your home stays nice and tidy while you are away. I can give them a bath if needed and time for tricks and treats if you allow!

“We love Brittany and the care that she provides for our pups while we are out of town! She is punctual and spends so much time loving on our pups. We never worry about the care that our pups are receiving while we are out of town when they are with Brittany. She even stayed late at our house to wait and make sure that our flight landed on time before she left our pups. We already rebooked our next trip with Brittany as soon as we knew we were going to be out of town again. Thanks Brittany for taking care of our pups and house-sitting while we are of town!”

“Caitlin is a reliable and caring pet-sitter. She's friendly and great with my senior special needs wiener dogs. I'd recommend Caitlin to watch your pets in house or as a drop-in.”

About: I've lived with pets my entire life, so I understand the importance of caring for your furry friends. I currently care for three cats of my own, and look after my mother's dog when she leaves the house. I plan my own schedule through a delivery job, so I am available at most times to care for your pets! Excluding Sunday evenings and Monday mornings, I am readily available to help. I have a large fenced-in yard for dogs to run and play. My mother's dog lives at my house, so I can either keep them separated or let them play together depending on your dog's preferences! I can also crate your dog inside. I keep a baby gate at my master bedroom door so that dogs cannot access my three cats and no one gets hurt!
“She is an amazing sitter! I have a high-anxiety dog and a cat who usually keeps to herself, but they both loved her! It gave me peace of mind knowing my pets were in such great hands and receiving the best care. ❤️”

“I would give Kayla a 10 star review if it were an option. I hardly know where to begin... I met and booked Kayla to house and pet sit a few months before I left a 2 week trip to Thailand. When the time came for me to leave, things were a bit of a mess at home. Lightning hit my house 4 days before I was leaving and a friend who lost her rental home unexpectedly was moving into my basement apartment. Needless to say, life was a bit hectic around my place. Kayla was incredibly understanding and not only took great care of my house and my pets. She truly went above and beyond! She kept me updated with pictures and messages despite the 12 hour time difference and it was crystal clear that my pets were more than satisfied. They LOVE her and she very clearly cares about them as much or more than any other friend or sitter I've had in the past. I honestly wouldn't have enjoyed my trip as much had I Kayla not been here. She truly is a rock star sitter!! I look forward to having her back to sit again.”

“Simone is Loving, Kind and very attentive to our big boy, Okami. She is very respectful of our home and a fantastic communicator with photos and updates of how our pup is doing :) if your looking for someone you can trust, Simone is your gal! Definitely will be working with her again!”

“Shelly was amazing house sitting for my 2 cats and dog! She sent me daily pics and updates. She is a true animal lover and really takes extra care and attention in caring for them! We felt very comfortable in knowing our pets were being well taken care of! We feel lucky we found her!”

About: I am a clinical social worker for children and young adults! My love for animals came from being raised in an animal loving home. I worked in a private vet right after college and have not only prior knowledge from my own family animals but hands on experience in the fields. About 5 years ago I adopted my cat Athena. Im the type of care giver who will make sure not only are your fur babies are loved and safe but that their owners have the sense of security that their babies are in good hands with frequent updates. I have been working with Rover since I was 18 years old! This was my job as a student that I very much loved! Now that it’s been 10 years in the business this job is a passion of mine that fulfills a purpose and only bring me more joy and happiness. I have a job that is flexible with my hours and allows me to work for my clients for hours that are needed. I book clients that I know I will be able to provide exact care they are expecting and asking for. Animals are like children, you always have to be vigilant. Every animal is different, needing specific care that is geared to them. I make sure my clients get attention, love and care.
“We have used the same dog/house sitter for 7 years, she had recently started a family and no longer does this kind of thing. We were so nervous about bringing someone new into our home to watch over our fur babies. Alice was great- the moment she came in to meet the dogs for the 1st time, they took minutes to get calm down with her (which doesn’t even happen with family), and we immediately knew they were in good hands. Our home was just as clean (if not more, because she mopped when she didn’t have to ?) when we came home and she kept us updated with photos and texts the whole week. We will definitely be using Alice for our next trip! Thank you again!”

“Ami was so great with all of our critters!!! She was very flexible, willing to do a meet and great and a trial drop in, to make sure our babies were comfortable with her before keeping them for a full weekend. She kept us updated and sent photos while we were gone!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - White Hill
Aubrey was absolutely wonderful with our dogs. She was kind, attentive, and had great and consistent communication throughout the entire week we were away from home. Every evening, she would provide an update of how the dogs were doing that day along with several photos. We will definitely be partnering up with her for future trips that require our dogs to stay home. Highly recommend her for your dog sitting needs!

Shannon was absolutely incredible with our three German Shorthaired Pointers! From the moment we connected, she was professional, communicative, and clearly experienced with high-energy dogs. Managing one GSP is a task in itself, and she handled all three with ease, patience, and genuine care. She kept us updated with messages and photos, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. It was clear our dogs were not only well taken care of, but truly happy and comfortable in her care. When we returned, everything was in perfect shape, and the dogs were relaxed and content. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and will absolutely be using Shannon again. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, attentive, and all-around amazing pet sitter!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in White Hill on Rover is $32.1 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 2,344 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across White Hill. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred White Hill walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in White Hill maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in White Hill choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in White Hill. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs

- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
