About: I’ve owned dogs from 6lb to 120lb, cared for sick and elderly dogs (including IVDD, experienced with medications including fluids via IV), loved dogs of all kinds my entire life! Your dogs will need to get along with my 2, and you can expect walks in fenced Warren Park, frequent potty breaks, and photo updates from me. We are dachshund lovers so we have stairs and ramps all over the house so the shortest pups can safely reach couches and beds. My partner Ben is a big help, and we would love to know everything about your precious pup’s personality to make sure they feel right at home with us and make the transition smooth. Hope to meet you and your furry one soon. I work part time and remotely. Weekends are hit and miss, but Mon/Tues/Thurs/Fri are open for dog care! Wed/Sat/Sun are dependent on current schedule. Any Qs, shoot me a message! My friendly pups will socialize with yours, and both are great at napping all day, too. Our potty breaks are every 2-4 hours, or sooner if your pup has special needs. We have a potty bell here, so if you use it at home you’re in luck (and Finn has been known to teach younger pups this skill). We walk daily a 1-mile loop in fenced Warren park, if that’s something your dog enjoys.

About: I have taken care of family and relative's dogs for about two years. It mainly consisted of pitbulls. I have also owned three cats since I was 15 <3 As a nursing student, I can promise I will treat your dogs just as I treat my patients, with patiences and care,. I am currently studying for my NCLEX. This gives me time during the days and evenings, as well as availability almost seven days a week. We can always work out a time and day that fits both our schedules. Just let me know what kind of care you would like for your pet and I will happily accommodate. I believe that their safety and trust in me is most important.

I've volunteered at the Evanston Animal Shelter weekly for over a year and love working with "difficult" cats. Many cats arrive at the shelter in distress with behavioral issues that take a lot of patience to work through, but it's so rewarding to slowly earn their trust and see their personalities start to shine through as they become adoption-ready. I also previously fostered with Hyde Park Cats until I "foster-failed" and adopted a formerly feral tabby named Buttercup. My first cat, Rocky, sadly passed away last year just shy of his 20th birthday. He lived with kidney disease for over 4 years and required a lot of at-home medical care in his final years. I know how difficult it can be to find a sitter for a senior cat who needs a level of care beyond drop-in visits and/or can't be left alone for more than a few hours at a time. If you need specialized care for your cat, please reach out with details about their needs and medical conditions and I will let you know if I am able to care for them. Dog Experience: I worked part-time as a dog walker and sitter throughout college and cared for a wide variety of breeds and sizes, from Chihuahuas to Newfoundlands and everything in between. I am comfortable working through mild behavioral issues, but if your dog is extremely reactive to other dogs, then I am only able to care for them in your home or secure yard. I am unable to care for dogs with recent bite incidents or other aggressive behavior towards humans. Other Pets: I previously had a freshwater fish tank of my own and knowledgeable about water quality + filtration requirements. I've also cared for frogs, turtles, lizards, snakes, rats, hamsters, and guinea pigs from time to time. Let me know what your pet's requirements are and I will let you know if I am able to provide care. I recently left my corporate job of 5 years to focus on grad school applications, and have a very flexible and open schedule this summer. I can provide care in your home, secure yard, or on leashed walks around your neighborhood. Please let me know if there are any particular routes that your dog prefers to walk, or if there are any areas or neighbor dogs to avoid. For safety reasons, I am unable to take your dog to a dog park, dog run, or other public off-leash area. For dog walking and drop-in visits, I will text your when I arrive and when I leave, snap a photo or two, and will keep you updated about your pet's eating, drinking, and bathroom habits. For pet sitting, let me know your communication preferences. I'm happy to send multiple updates a day, or if you prefer less contact while on vacation, I can keep texts to a minimum.
