“Beth is excellent with my dog Deuce. So well cared for. He doesn't even act like he missed me. And her 4 year old son is a great help also! That is a total difference compared to leaving him at a high price dog hotel. Highly recommend her!”

“Elizabeth and Philip provided the best possible care for my senior dog. I highly recommend them and would have no hesitation in trusting them with my fur baby again.”

“As always, Rachel is the best...we love how our little girl jumps out of the car to get to her furry friends. Our ability to travel is because we know that she will be loved and taken care of by Rachel and Pat who treat her as if she were their own. Thanks again.”

“Patrick was great! Prompt communication and plenty of picture updates on Guthrie, who looked to be having the time of his life. I swear Guthrie was positively beaming when I picked him up! The afterglow remains several days after.”

“Sarah and Daniel were great, beginning with the meet and greet til pick up. I received daily pictures of Boone and they were always timely with their responses. I knew Boone was in good hands.”

“Mariah took great care of Edison Photos and updates regularly. Especially enjoyed the video that we sent of Edison playing with her dogs. Lots of exercise and outdoor playtime in their fenced and backyard.”

“I've been using Jessica to watch my golden for the last 4-5 trips, and my dog absolutely loves staying with her and her family. I can tell she takes very good care of my dog by sending pictures, taking him for walks, and even having "Water Days" for the dogs to play in water when its hot outside. This last trip she even noticed something about my dog that I hadn't and brought it to my attention. My little guy has allergies that I was unaware of since I moved to Louisville and she was the reason I took him into the vet and got him some allergy relief! Great Host, and Great Home for your pets! I highly recommend”

“Lea was amazing! I highly recommend her to everyone. This was our first time using rover and she made our experience so seamless! I could tell that my Joey was in the best hands! He played, walked and enjoyed quality time with her. Thank you for taking care of my heart on four little legs!”

“She was absolutely perfect!!!! She gave me updates and pictures of my dog, she celebrated his birthday with him in my place, she was amazing!! Everything was such a convenience!!! My dog loves her and I will definitely book again and again!”

“5 STARS!!! Lynne was wonderful. My two small dogs, Lily and Leo enjoyed their stay and she gave them great care and love. I really liked that Lynne would contact me daily through texts with updates and pictures. She even took the time to brush them. I intend to contact her again when I need a pet sitter.”

“Boulder was very happy with Ciara, and it was great getting photo updates daily. Knowing how he was doing made it easier not to worry!! Ciara is very easy to work with and I’d highly recommend her to anyone!”

“Chris took great care of our Lab while we were visiting our son at college. We asked a lot of him because Seamus had a muscle strain and could not run around or take walks. This is asking a lot of a caretaker trying to keep a 94 pound Lab “not active.” Chris is our go to Rover sitter, we know Seamus is getting great attention and care.”

About: I have many years of caring for my own cats (Jack & Jill growing up, and my foster cat Bucky now) as well as lots of experience dog-walking and home-sitting throughout college. I absolutely love making new friends with your pets and am happy to provide them less time alone or in their kennels I still have full-time work to accommodate (from 9am-3:30pm), but I work remote and am able to be flexible. I am available most evenings and weekends. Unfortunately my apartment makes me unavailable to provide care for pets away from your home. I look forward to caring for your pets in your yards, neighborhoods, or local dog parks however. I don't object to taking pets for a car ride if they enjoy those as well
“Sarah sis really great with our dogs. They came home happy, healthy, and well-cared for. Sarah took they on walks and allowed them on couches and beds. We are so appreciate of her and the positive stay had by our pups! Would recommend and book again.”

“Anthony and his partner did such a great job caring for Mushu while we were out of the country for a week! He made sure to give updates and send photos daily. Your dog will be well taken care of and have a great time with Anthony while you’re out. Highly recommend!”

“So grateful that we found Michael to care for our pup! He was prompt with communication, sent sweet photos and updates while we were away, and kept our dog feeling happy while we were away. Definitely recommend!”

“Truly a home away from home. Angelia & her loving family treated Yowie like another member of their family and it showed! Being out of town for months was difficult, but Angelia always sent photos and kept me updated throughout my absence. She will always be my first choice in boarding and I know my dog Yowie thinks of her family as part of his pack now. He was well taken care of and smiling in all his photos. When I went to pick him up he kept trying to show me Angelia like “look! You must meet my friend!” You could tell he was so loved in her care. There were no other dogs, so he got all of the attention, scratches and pets his little heart desired. Kennels can never compare to a caring home with individual attention like Angelia provides. I feel lucky to have found her on Rover and highly recommend her.”

“Rylee is very sweet and worked amazingly with my X-Large dog Appa. He is timid but he did amazing with her and I received consistent updates about him. Will be using her in the future!”

Felicia and her family were amazing with my mini doodle for a 3-day boarding. We got multiple updates and pictures each day! He has some dietary restrictions and gets medication twice per day and she stated on top of all of it! We will definitely ask her to dogsit our boy again! Thank you, Felicia, for taking such good care of him!
Catherine was great with our little blind girl who needs several meds twice a day as well as two different eye drops. She made a special place in her home for little Miss Minnie and let her sleep in her bedroom as Minnie is used to at home. We really appreciate Catherine’s good care and obvious love of dogs. She also updated us several times during Minnie’s stay, I would not hesitate to hook Catherine again as the need may arise.

Ms.Shunita took great care of my girl “Sunday”. This was her first time staying away from us and she made me feel comfortable that she was being left in good hands from beginning to the end of the stay. I really appreciated the messages and videos. We will definitely use Ms.Shaunita in the future!!

Daphne has been amazing from the beginning! We started using Rover over a year ago and Daphne has been our go-to sitter. She's amazing with all animals, very communicative, and easy to work with. Our most recent visit was a very last-minute overnight and Daphne didn't hesitate to take Lola. If you're looking for a sitter, Daphne is by far the best!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their West Buechel home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your West Buechel.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your West Buechel sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in KY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
