Disponibilité

While the bulk of my income comes from dogs, I also market CBD online & sell it locally; you can ask if interested as I keep stock in home. Ultimately, this means I control 100% of my time to be with the pups in home. Most of my dogs have come for years. We have plenty of dog 🐕 parties 🎉 that grew as a result of Covid, which is another reason I rarely leave the house. Our goal once Covid hit was to never said “no” to medical working clients (bulk of pup parents) especially during the shutdown as they were integral (ER, RX, respiratory therapist) help. We just adapted along the way to make sure all were safe and had fun. During the afternoon & late evening, usually 2-3 days a week I leave for about 40 minutes to let 1 dog out for a pharmacist and night nurse. When that occurs, I have Patrick (life partner) or my assistants, Butch or Donnie, here when I step away just in case & in case someone comes early for a daycare pickup. We average 5-6 dogs a day for daycare.

Boarding Dogs: Currently, I have a 8’ fenced in dog pen & a 2nd smaller area we just finished as an extra pen with a dog pool and/or use for elderly dogs who love the outside, but don’t want to deal with the puppies or get in water. We do keep all sort of dogs, so it really comes down to the dog and their needs. Some dogs we walk, some enjoy the little water park @ Farnsley while others binge watch tv. The well behaved dogs, Pat might take to Lowe’s or a farm he works at from to time (so mention if you don't want your dog leaving); whatever suits their need I am happy to accommodate, within reason. We treat them all like our own. As stated above, we never shut down during Covid. We cater to hospital workers, mainly in the ER and would not think of saying “no” realizing what might happen during those tough times. We just figured out how to keep each dog safe and satisfied based on individual needs when we ended up with puppy 🐶 parties. We have crates inside used to feed dogs or allow down time with bones. The next saga occurred when clients started getting Covid 😷 creating additional dogs at the last minute and more dog parties 🎊. Opening back up created many recurring 🐕 parties from airplane ✈️ cancellations. We continued to be vigilant & committed, never needing to call Rover to find another sitter which we became several times when requested by Rover. I just invested in my business to figure it out and have remained as flexible for my clients needing it, just an FYI. Now it’s second nature and my clients love ❤️ the experience! We do keep a variety of high energy dogs, nervous nellies, and some with special needs. We keep all sizes and ages. The trials and tribulations of Covid brought the bulk of my pups together a lot so they all know each other very well. Pat (life partner) helps me with puppy parties and late nights. They all really LOVE ❤️ Pat! Hopefully, your pup does not come home too tired, because we have fun here! If your dog doesn’t do well with others, this may not be the best place. Nervous nellies generally come home more confident and better for the experience as long as they are not fear aggressive w/ bully tendancies. We are like one big furry family. Most dogs roam freely in the front part of the house and yard. Some I watch like a hawk, while others won’t have that need. Everyone eats in a crate or a pen to avoid thievery and allergy issues. I have tons of bowls, beds, & crates if needed so you don’t have to bring unless you want. FYI we only crate if they sleep in one normally or won’t stop playing at night or just need a break. We keep crates open as some dogs like privacy & security.

I do have cats who love dogs, so if not sure how your dog might get along, I need to know in advance to get them in the back. I would like to know any behavioral issues or limitations ahead of time. Examples of behavioral issues might be food/bone/toy resource guarding and separation anxiety are most important. I would also like to know if you do something special to help/deal with that issue. Perhaps you have a technique or special verbiage that might be helpful during the stay. Also I need picture with up to date shots/vaccinations please.

I live next to a small community park. There could definitely be walks, fetch, and perhaps a little water fun. I personally never go to dog parks, because I have had bad experiences in the past. I also see the bad behavior & feel compelled to deal with it now that I have experience with dogs. Plus, my house is a dog park more often than not with the added benefit of my home being a place where I know the playmates, monitor the play and know each dog intimately. That said, for pups not interested in play, there is no opposition to binge watching TV and just cohabiting.

Expérience en matière de services dédiés aux animaux de compagnie

Dogs and cats have played an integral part of my entire life. I grew up in the military, so pets have played a huge role as a youngster. My first dog, as an adult, was a lab named Buddy. He was my life as I had no family here. Buddy was ill early on & diagnosed with CHF at the age of 2. The heart specialist said I would be lucky to have him at 9. Well, we did not accept that and he lived a full fledge “Marley & Me” life well beyond his given life expectancy. He never skipped a beat or missed an opportunity to steal food. At 11, he was diagnosed with diabetes; no doubt from years of stolen fresh cooked food off the counter, behind closed doors, purses, & other “out of reach” places. I learned all about going above and beyond, outside the box thinking to resolve issues, the importance of diligence, giving meds, and feeding quality food/treats to ensure he stayed a rotten to the core lab 😉! I routinely gave him vitamins, pills, and insulin shots so your pup can expect to have the same quality care no matter how easy or detailed it needs be for a safe and fun time at pup camp. Recently, my dog Scooby passed unexpectedly. He was a big boy with behavioral issues we have worked through with training as it was needed. He was a true rescue dog saved from euthanasia. He was a confident yet anxious and scared general mess initially. He was a very loving pup who learned how to be a dog, all sorts of commands and tricks even late in life. Along with the needed dog training, he also had hip dysplasia diagnosed at 2 which led to more special needs later in life when it probably led to IVDD.

We appreciate Rachael helping watch the cats while we're out of town. The cats enjoy the company. I also appreciated her suggestion of trying allergies meds for our one cat. We like to know that the cats are well cared for while we're gone.

As always Rachel is the best. When we needed last minute day care, Rachel was so helpful and said yes right away. Thanks for always being so kind and our little girl loves coming to your home.

Rachel did a great job of taking care of my fur baby! I'll definitely use her again if she has the energy!
