Amanda watched all three of our furry babies. She was amazing! She sent regular pictures so we could see they were safe and happy. She was easy to communicate with and very responsive. I would not hesitate to leave our pets with her on our next trip!

About: I own an Italian greyhound, and sighthounds have taught me a lot: reading their sensitive body language and using gentle handling and leash technique. I've also given medication to pets in my care, so I'm comfortable and confident handling pills, liquids, or other routine treatments your dog might need. I work remotely full time, which means I'm home and available every single day. Visits happen on a real schedule, not squeezed in around a commute. You can count on me to show up on time, follow your instructions closely, and treat your dog's routine as seriously as you do. I work remotely full-time, so pet care fits naturally into my day rather than being squeezed in around a commute. I'm home all day, every day, which means I have flexibility to schedule visits throughout the morning, afternoon, or evening depending on what works best for your dog's routine. I treat drop-in visits as a genuine break in my day, not something rushed between meetings, so your dog gets my full attention for the time I'm there. At home, I have a fully fenced backyard, which gives dogs safe space to play and get some energy out, plus a crate available if a dog is more comfortable with a den-like space or needs a calm, secure area to settle. When I'm caring for pets in your home, I follow your instructions closely, whether that's feeding routines, medication, or specific rules about doors, gates, or off-limits areas. I make sure everything is secured before and after each visit, including locking up behind myself, and I treat your home with the same care and respect as I would my own.

About: Love pets more than people 🤣 lol Seriously tho, your pets will get all the love they want! I’ve had cats and dogs my whole life! Cats are by far my fave, but dogs are a close second! Other species will need to be discussed on a case by case basis 🤪 My days are relatively open, so whether you need someone to just check in on your pet, take them out for a potty break, take them on a walk, or even hang out for a few hours, I can probably help 🙂 I’m happy to play games with your pets (or not, if that’s what your pet prefers 😆). I’m also open to boarding - either in my home or yours. I’m open to administering oral meds as needed. I am self employed and therefore able to cater to specific schedules for potty breaks and/or medication as needed. If your pet likes company, I’m happy to hang out with them for awhile. Whether you just need me to stop by your home to check in on your pets or feed and water them, or if you’re away on vacation, I’m happy to help 😊

Kim and Bill agreed to care for Benne Wafer as a last-minute request. I needed to take a 2-night trip related to my employment. The original dates for my trip (when my daughter was scheduled to keep Benne) had to be postponed due to snow and extreme temperatures. Kim and Bill immediately accepted my request. I put worries about my high-maintenance pup aside so I could concentrate on meeting my new project team. Benne and I highly recommend Kim & Bill! 🐾😊

Aneisey & Jose did an amazing job taking care of our Shiba Inu for 10 days. It's the 1st time we had been apart from him that long and even though he was reluctant to eat the first couple days being in a different environment you guys offered to cook him chicken and rice which Vader loves that did the trick. You two have such a lovely home and I know Vader loved all the attention and affection he received staying with your wonderful family. We look forward to future bookings as well. Thank you so much

About: Greetings! My name is Melissa: human, dog and cat mom, wife to a Deaf man, and prior 6th grade English teacher. My husband, three children (ages 20, 18, 15), and I have lived in Simpsonville, SC for 23 years: it’s definitely home sweet home! We have five dogs, two outdoor cats, three indoor cats, and a Leopard Gecko. Yes, we all *LOVE* animals! Pets are an integral part of our lives: always have been, always will be! Years back, during my BC (Before Children) era, I was an intake coordinator and foster parent for Foothills Golden Retriever Rescue. Hard to put into words the pure joy in being a part of the rescue world. I have since worked with the Greenville Humane Society in education outreach, and when in the field of education, was involved with Foothills Search & Rescue (am now a volunteer in their wonderful nonprofit) and SLED’s (South Carolina Law Enforcement Division) K-9 unit: brought both in, simultaneously and multiple times, to the school I taught at, to conduct an animal intelligence demo for the school student body. In addition, I have a wide-range of experience working with special needs dogs and cats in a variety of capacities: administration of meds (oral and injected), obedience training (currently training a 4-month-old German Shepherd Dog, and 6 month old Golden Retriever), as well as more than two decades with fosters and rescues- many with behavioral challenges including separation anxiety, reactivity, and resource guarding. In addition, among the hundreds of dogs and cats I’ve owned, fostered, adopted, and worked with over the years, a number have had physical impairments: a 3-legged Dachshund, blind pug, and deaf Shih Tzu, to name a but a few. I offer loving, dependable, and responsible care for your pet(s). Our pets, like yours, are a part of our family. Subsequently, I make it a priority to ensure their well-being when we are away. I offer the same peace of mind for you and yours: including care customized to yours and your pet’s(s) specific needs. Looking forward to connecting with you and your fur family! *FOR THOSE WITH LARGE FUR FAMILIES: no charge for the fourth pet! * FOR THOSE WITH ‘OTHER’ PETS: I have experience in providing care for pet rabbits, birds, fish, turtles, lizards, and snakes- as well as an assortment of livestock (including pigs, chickens, and horses). Fees vary, just mention it in your booking request. This is my ninth year offering pet care services. My clientele has grown to such a degree that in 2022 I was able to move into working it full time! Consequently, my schedule is wide open and can work within the timeframe that works best for you and your pet(s). I am available seven days a week, any time during the day or night for check ins, walks, house sitting, and boarding. Care I provide my client’s pet(s) is individually-based. Having a large, diverse fur family myself, I understand that circumstances and expectations vary from person-to-person. Therefore, I customize ‘care’ according to the client’s specific needs. It is their direction that guides the care that I provide: “care” that is always grounded in love, dependability, and responsibility.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in SC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
