“Lisa is a gem. She made herself available with short notice and was kind and patient with me as a new puppy parent to the rover app. Most importantly I was able to enjoy a day off without feeling guilty and worrying about leaving my puppy’s home for an extended time.”

About: My family is big on rescuing animals, so as long as I can remember I’ve always been surrounded by all types of animals! Officially I have been caring for dogs since I was 8, this was around when I rescued my first dog, Buddy, a Brussels Griffon. My mother owns a lot of property where she has four dogs, goats, a pig, and many cats. I watch the house and care for the animals while she’s away. More frequently, I care for my Fathers dog, a blue short haired pit-bull named Shadow, as well as my ferret I have had for 5 years, Karma. I am also comfortable with light grooming (brushing), bathing, cleaning up messes, and assistance with medication to help you and your furry friend! I’m currently working part-time so I will have plenty of time to cater to your companions. My work schedule is usually more full during holidays like Christmas and Valentine’s day, but I am very flexible and will always work to help benefit you and your pets! I can perform and educate myself on any practices desired for your pets comfort. Unfortunately, I am currently unable to dog sit in my home.

About: i have been watching dogs since i was 16 friends, family, and church family members have relied and trusted in me to watch their pets. I work part-time, so I’m mostly free during the day and most evenings. I’m just unavailable Sunday until 8 PM, Thursday nights 7–9, and Monday/Friday evenings. I’m super flexible otherwise and happy to fit pet care into my schedule! I don’t take pets in my home, but I’m totally happy to stay in yours! I stick to their routine, make sure they get lots of love, walks, playtime, and keep everything clean and comfy.

About: Some people have photo albums full of babies and friends. I have a gallery of animals I’ve befriended—on sidewalks, in parks, on farms, and even in random parking lots. Sometimes I even go to the dog park just to hang out with dogs and soak up their joyful energy. My friends know I’ll stop mid-sentence to meet a dog. Provided the owner approves, I introduce myself, learn about the breed and its story, snap a few pics, and send a text introducing the pet to my mom, son, sister, and niece—like it’s breaking news. (They’ve come to expect this. It’s basically a subscription service now.) I know how important it is to trust someone with your pet. When I traveled, it meant everything to me that the person watching my dog and cats would love them like their own. That’s exactly how I approach every pet I care for. Whether your dog is playful, shy, high-energy, or a couch potato, I’ll meet them where they are and treat them like family. I follow their routine, keep you updated with happy pics, and make sure they feel safe, calm, and cared for until you return. I grew up with dogs, and over the years, friends have entrusted me with both their homes and their beloved pets. Just this year, I’ve cared for: – Five sweet—but high-maintenance Chihuahuas (yes, all at once!) – Seven animals in one home: a high-energy Mexican street dog rescue and six cats (including three feral kittens and three indoor/outdoor adults) – A mature lab/retriever mix – And my beloved grand-dog 💛 If your dog boards with us, welcome to Camp Mimi! 🐾 Here, they’ll get a double dose of attention and affection. My love for animals started with my mom, who always had dogs by her side — first dachshunds (my aunt bred them!), and later, energetic border collies and loyal Australian shepherds. Caring for animals runs in the family, and at Camp Mimi, your pup becomes part of the pack. They will have a spacious yard, squirrels to chase, room to play, a pool to cool off in, and daily walks tailored to your pup’s needs—it’s like a dog’s dream vacation. Check out the Camp Mimi photos – you may want to stay here too! Not boarding? I also offer drop-in visits and dog walking at your home, with the same loving care and attention. I’m also a professional organizer and gardener, so I bring a natural sense of order, calm, and care into every space I’m in. Should you want me to stay in your home, I can be available for extended periods of time. You can count on me to keep your home and garden tidy, peaceful, and well-tended, just as you left them—or maybe even a little better. If you're looking for someone your pet will genuinely want to see again— I’d be honored to be a loving steward of your pet(s) and your home while you’re away. My schedule is flexible and I have a car. I can pop in for a quick visit or spend time with your furry one(s). Walks, playtime, or whatever you need. How I Care for Pets in My Home At Camp Mimi — affectionately named after my mom, whose lifelong devotion to dogs inspired my own — your pet becomes part of the family. We offer a cozy, calm environment with room to roam, squirrels to chase, and even a pup-approved pool to splash in. I follow your dog’s routine closely — walks, meals, meds, naps — to keep them feeling safe and loved. We are home most of the day, so they’ll get tons of attention, snuggles, and regular photo updates from their stay at Camp Mimi. Bonus: We are home most of the day, so they’ll rarely be alone. 🐾 How I Care for Pets in Their Home When I’m caring for pets in their own home, I treat your space and routine with great respect. I keep pets on their normal schedule — walks, meals, meds, bedtime — and send regular updates with photos so you know they’re happy and safe. Whether they’re energetic explorers or sofa snugglers, I match their vibe and keep them comfortable while you’re away. I also bring a professional touch: I’m a seasoned house sitter, gardener, and organizer, so your home will be well cared for too.

About: Hello! My name is Alyssa it’s such a pleasure to meet you! ☺️ I came to rover because I wanted to try something new and hopefully meet new friends and help their animals! I am a nurse and I also love waitressing on the side. My time has recently opened up which is why I’m trying this place out! I’ve raised cats my entire life and I’ve been raising German Shepherds for the last 2-3 years. I’m experienced with caring for sick animals as my first German Shepherd was special needs and so my 10 year old cat named Nico. I’m comfortable giving medication and I know many tricks to administering it to those who like to spit it out haha! I’m experienced handling working breed dogs and love training them! I’ve also been told many times I’m a cat whisperer and seem to win over even the most introverted cats 🤣 Having the ability to care for others and animals is my biggest accomplishment and blessing! I look forward to hopefully meet with you soon!! My schedule has been recently freed up so I’ve been prioritizing training my dog and doing self care! Scheduling is currently very flexible for me and I’ll update here when things change! As you may have guessed my life is pretty crazy busy 🤣🤣 but I do thrive off of the busy schedule and love being productive with my time! When it comes to my shepherd and cats, a consistent routine is always something I always create around my schedule! Routine is very important for pets and they can be stressed without it! Feeding, nap, play, and bedtime I always strive to keep consistent within a reasonable time frame. This is also what i strive for when caring for someone else’s pets as a primary way to keep stress to a minimum for them. When it comes to working breed dogs like mine, I like to allow around two hours daily of walking, training, and play to fulfill their psychological and physical needs. When I am caring for another person’s animal, I also love to help out in other ways such as basic chores around the house during down time! Cleaning is very therapeutic for me and I always love to help out when able to! However I do respect any and all boundaries on whatever you’re comfortable or not comfortable with!

Kimberly H.
“I can't say enough wonderful things about Kim. She rented a room in my home for about 6 months in 2024-2025 and was an outstanding housemate! Always offering to help with chores, often one step ahead of me, and she was wonderful with my cat and my two rescue pups who grew to love and trust her very much. I found Kim to be intelligent, thoughtful, generous, conscientious and tidy, as well as friendly and outgoing. I'm very selective of who takes care of my animals but I would trust Kim wholeheartedly. She has a deep love and respect for all animals and is a sitter you can trust and rely on.”

Alyssa F.Star Sitter
“Alyssa is an absolutely wonderful dog owner and handler who loves her dog very much and has already fostered several dogs to help them shine to their fullest potential and get adopted. Recently, she fostered the most adorable, shy German Shepherd who was struggling with kennel stress and was therefore behaving reactively, overcome his anxiety and get adopted! With her own dog, she has her professionally groomed once every 2 months, feeds her dog a highly protein diet of the best quality dog brands, and spends several hours a day giving her various agility and obedience exercises to give her dog the mental enrichment needed in a working line dog. The dedication to her own dog and with other dogs shows. Her dog is extremely well behaved, is well socialized and friendly with strangers, and is able to walk calmly in public areas, unbothered by typical triggers such as screaming kids or bicycles. My dog adores Alyssa. He will happily roll over and beg for belly rubs from her and every time she watches after him, he will want to play ball with her for hours. She really knows how to tap into his playful side without him becoming overstimulated. Alyssa is absolutely wonderful with dogs and really has a way of bonding with them and winning their trust; I highly recommend her as a pet sitter, especially if you own a Shepherd breed.”
