About: 🐾 About Me Hi, I’m Zahira! I’m a dedicated 5 star pet sitter providing reliable, in-home care throughout South Jersey. My goal is to give pets individualized, stress-free care in the comfort of their own home while giving owners complete peace of mind. Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I was an aspiring veterinarian before graduating with my Management Information Systems degree. I grew up with a cat, currently have a 15 year old dog named Sport, and have cared for pets both on and off Rover. Building lasting relationships with both pets and their families is one of my favorite parts of this work. 🐾 My Approach I believe great pet care is built on communication, consistency, and attention to detail. Before every first booking, I require a complimentary meet and greet. This allows us to discuss your pet’s routine, personality, medical needs, favorite activities, and anything else that helps them feel comfortable while you’re away. During every stay, I provide regular updates with photos so you can travel knowing your pets are happy and well cared for. 🐾 Why Clients Choose Me * Calm, patient, and dependable care * Personalized attention for every pet * Reliable communication and photo updates * Punctual * Flexible scheduling * Respectful care for both your pets and your home 🐾 Looking Forward to Meeting You I know how important it is to trust someone with both your pets and your home. My goal is to make the process as easy and stress free as possible for both you and your pets. I look forward to meeting you and providing the same level of care I’d want for my own animals. Pet sitting is one of my primary professional commitments, allowing me to maintain a flexible schedule throughout the week. Whether you’re traveling for work, taking a vacation, or simply need an extra hand during the day, I’m committed to providing dependable, consistent care you can rely on. Please note: The communication metrics displayed on my profile may not fully reflect my level of responsiveness or the number of updates I provide. Some clients prefer receiving updates by text or phone, so not all communication is captured by Rover’s metrics. I pride myself on prompt communication and sending regular photo and video updates so you always know how your pet is doing. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and well-being are always my top priorities. During house sittings, I work to maintain your pet’s normal routine in the comfort of their own home, helping minimize any worry or concerns while you’re away. I treat every home with the same care and respect I would my own, carefully following all instructions and ensuring your pet receives plenty of love. I’ll also provide regular photo and video updates so you can feel confident that both your pet and home are in good hands! Thank you so much for trusting me with your fur baby 🤍

About: I've taken care of pets of all kinds since I was very young, from birds to cats and lizards to dogs, being tasked to walk, care for, feed, and just generally oversee. I am also a current Pre-veterinarian undergrad, and am confident in my taught abilities to both handle and treat animals. I love working with any and all animals, and am absolutely thrilled to be working with your furry friends! I'm a fresh animal science graduate from the University of Delaware, and have a pretty flexible schedule. Inquire with what you need, and I'll let you know if the times align! I currently have a very eccentric 3 year old, and as such have experimented a lot in the safest possible options for your pets! I am super confident I can provide a safe environment where trust can be built and your pet is safe.

About: I’ve had dogs since I was 5 we’ve always been a dog family. Even now at the age I am we still have dogs we walk them, take them outside every couple hours and feed them twice a day I have a passion for animals. Pet care is already part of my daily routine. I make time every day to feed pets, provide fresh water, take them on walks, play with them, and make sure they get plenty of love and attention. Throughout the week, I keep a consistent schedule and can easily adjust my routine to meet each pet’s specific needs, whether that’s extra walks, medication, or sticking to their normal feeding schedule. I enjoy spending time with animals and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owners are away. I care for every pet as if they were my own. In my home or a client’s home, I follow each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, fresh water, walks, potty breaks, playtime, and any special care instructions. I make sure pets get plenty of attention, exercise, and affection while also keeping their environment clean and safe. I provide updates with photos and messages so owners know their pets are happy and well cared for during their time away.

About: I’ve grown up with many pets from the age of two. But since I was probably 13 I’ve been pet sitting for family friends, family members, and neighbors. I currently have 3 dogs, a cat, and a rabbit. And I am always learning about animals and how to best care for them. I am currently working part-time. But my job is very flexible. I don’t have a specific set of days that I have to work- it will be sporadically in the week. But I am always able to discuss scheduling. My three dogs have a big fenced in yard and get lots of exercise. Sometimes we go to the dog park for some socialization. At my clients homes, I walk as many times as they need, feeding, and medications (if there are any). For cats, I will clean litter, feed, do medications as needed as well, and playing if they like that!

About: I have over 10 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs, including raising and working closely with a Boxer, which taught me the importance of patience, consistency, and understanding a dog’s unique personality and energy. In addition to my experience with dogs, I’ve also owned and cared for cats, giving me a well-rounded understanding of different pet needs and behaviors. I’ve always had a natural connection with animals and genuinely enjoy building trust with them, making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while in my care. Whether it’s an energetic walk or quiet companionship, I treat every pet like they’re my own. I also have volunteer experience with a local animal rescue and even fostered and homed 5 different cats. I have a very flexible schedule and am available anytime, Monday through Friday, to accommodate your pet’s needs—whether that’s daily walks, drop-in visits, or extended sitting. I also offer availability on select weekends with advance notice, so I’m happy to work with your schedule whenever possible. My goal is to provide reliable, consistent care you can count on whenever you need it. I currently provide care in my clients’ homes to keep pets comfortable in their familiar environment and routine. I prioritize safety, trust, and respect by carefully following all instructions, including feeding schedules, walking routines, medications, and house rules. I make sure doors, gates, and leashes are always secure, and I stay attentive to each pet’s behavior to ensure they feel safe and stress-free. I treat every home with respect—keeping it clean, secure, and exactly as I found it. My goal is to create a calm, reliable experience so both you and your pet feel completely at ease while you’re away.

About: Note: I currently have limited availability as I navigate being back to work and a first time mom. I have experiences with dogs from small (10 lbs) to large (>100 lbs) sizes. Regardless of their size, I love to give them lots of cuddles, belly rubs and ear scratches. I do not usually travel for the holidays. I am open to assisting with training the pups with walking with leash and with simple commands such as sit, stay, down, and spin. If you need someone to drop in/walk your pup, I am your go-to person. Please note that I would appreciate at least a 1 day notice. Please try to avoid same day or last minute requests! I’m currently working full time from home and I have the flexibility to play with your fur baby as much as they need! During the week, I will have availability in the morning, mid day (if work schedule permits) and evening to stop by your place to let the pups out and walk the pups/check in on the kitties. I always stay with the pup when he/she is outside and can crate him/her in the home if needed. At your home, I would make sure to put them on leash when your pup is going out and follow your guidelines for the pup.

Lisa was fantastic with our dog Kodi! Kodi can be a bit timid with strangers but Lisa was able to coax her on a short walk and got her to go to the bathroom, which was the biggest thing I cared about! I really appreciate how patient she was and she even gave my cat Kuzco some love too, which I appreciate! I would highly recommend working with her!

  • 90% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
