“Thank you so much for taking such great care of Hoochoo! It was clear that you genuinely cared for him, and I really appreciated the updates and photos during the walk. Hoochoo came back happy and well cared for, which gave me a lot of peace of mind. I would absolutely book with you again and highly recommend you to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and professional dog walker. Thank you again! 🙂”

About: I'm a dedicated animal care professional with several years of experience as a Kennel Technician and pet sitter where I've built strong skills in animal handling and daily care for pets of all types, ages, temperaments, and needs. My passion for animals started in 4th grade when I began volunteering with the Animal Welfare Association (AWA). Since then, I've gained hands-on experience in shelters and through pet sitting in both clients' homes and my own, caring for dogs, cats, and other animals. After recently returning home to be closer to family, I'm excited to continue doing what I love most: providing safe, compassionate, and reliable care for every animal I meet. I am currently available Mondays through Fridays all day to do walks and drop ins-having plenty of time to provide proper care and love (: Weekend hours can occasionally be negotiated. My number one goal is to create a safe, comfortable environment and building trust with not only pets but their owners as well! Carefully following instructions regarding food/water, exercise, and medicine so they feel safe, loved and comfortable in my care.

“Amy is so sweet and friendly! She was available pretty quickly for a meet and greet, and my dog immediately warmed up to her! I appreciated her flexibility with walking my dog and sending me detailed reports with pictures. I will definitely rebook Amy for any future needs!”

About: 🐾 About Me Hi, I’m Zahira! I’m a dedicated 5 star pet sitter providing reliable, in-home care throughout South Jersey. My goal is to give pets individualized, stress-free care in the comfort of their own home while giving owners complete peace of mind. Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I was an aspiring veterinarian before graduating with my Management Information Systems degree. I grew up with a cat, currently have a 15 year old dog named Sport, and have cared for pets both on and off Rover. Building lasting relationships with both pets and their families is one of my favorite parts of this work. 🐾 My Approach I believe great pet care is built on communication, consistency, and attention to detail. Before every first booking, I require a complimentary meet and greet. This allows us to discuss your pet’s routine, personality, medical needs, favorite activities, and anything else that helps them feel comfortable while you’re away. During every stay, I provide regular updates with photos so you can travel knowing your pets are happy and well cared for. 🐾 Why Clients Choose Me * Calm, patient, and dependable care * Personalized attention for every pet * Reliable communication and photo updates * Punctual * Flexible scheduling * Respectful care for both your pets and your home 🐾 Looking Forward to Meeting You I know how important it is to trust someone with both your pets and your home. My goal is to make the process as easy and stress free as possible for both you and your pets. I look forward to meeting you and providing the same level of care I’d want for my own animals. 𝐅𝐔𝐋𝐋 𝐓𝐈𝐌𝐄 𝐏𝐄𝐓 𝐒𝐈𝐓𝐓𝐄𝐑 Pet sitting is my primary professional commitment, allowing me to maintain a flexible schedule throughout the week. Whether you’re traveling for work, taking a vacation, or simply need an extra hand during the day, I’m committed to providing dependable, consistent care you can rely on. Please note: The communication metrics displayed on my profile may not fully reflect my level of responsiveness or the number of updates I provide. Some clients prefer receiving updates by text or phone, so not all communication is captured by Rover’s metrics. I pride myself on prompt communication and sending regular photo and video updates so you always know how your pet is doing. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and well-being are always my top priorities. During house sittings, I work to maintain your pet’s normal routine in the comfort of their own home, helping minimize any worry or concerns while you’re away. I treat every home with the same care and respect I would my own, carefully following all instructions and ensuring your pet receives plenty of love. I’ll also provide regular photo and video updates so you can feel confident that both your pet and home are in good hands! Thank you so much for trusting me with your fur baby 🤍

About: Dogs have always been a huge part of my life. I was involved with HeavenSent Bulldog Rescue, where I helped care for and foster rescue dogs. Over the years, I’ve fostered multiple dogs and have always had three rescue dogs of my own at home. I understand that every dog has a unique personality, history, and needs. Whether your pup is energetic, shy, senior, or needs extra patience, I provide loving, dependable care and treat every dog as if they were my own. My experience with rescue dogs has taught me how to recognize stress signals, build trust, and create a safe, comfortable environment where dogs can thrive. Your pet’s happiness, safety, and well-being will always be my top prio I’m a full time nurse at Chop but only work in the city 1 day a week. I am able to work from home most days which gives me flexibility. Whether I am caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, I focus on providing a safe, loving, and fun environment. I have a secure fenced-in yard where dogs can run, play, and enjoy supervised outdoor time. My dogs have plenty of toys, and I make sure all pets get lots of attention, playtime, and affection.

About: I have over 10 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs, including raising and working closely with a Boxer, which taught me the importance of patience, consistency, and understanding a dog’s unique personality and energy. In addition to my experience with dogs, I’ve also owned and cared for cats, giving me a well-rounded understanding of different pet needs and behaviors. I’ve always had a natural connection with animals and genuinely enjoy building trust with them, making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while in my care. Whether it’s an energetic walk or quiet companionship, I treat every pet like they’re my own. I also have volunteer experience with a local animal rescue and even fostered and homed 5 different cats. I have a very flexible schedule and am available anytime, Monday through Friday, to accommodate your pet’s needs—whether that’s daily walks, drop-in visits, or extended sitting. I also offer availability on select weekends with advance notice, so I’m happy to work with your schedule whenever possible. My goal is to provide reliable, consistent care you can count on whenever you need it. I currently provide care in my clients’ homes to keep pets comfortable in their familiar environment and routine. I prioritize safety, trust, and respect by carefully following all instructions, including feeding schedules, walking routines, medications, and house rules. I make sure doors, gates, and leashes are always secure, and I stay attentive to each pet’s behavior to ensure they feel safe and stress-free. I treat every home with respect—keeping it clean, secure, and exactly as I found it. My goal is to create a calm, reliable experience so both you and your pet feel completely at ease while you’re away.
About: Note: I currently have limited availability as I navigate being back to work and a first time mom. I have experiences with dogs from small (10 lbs) to large (>100 lbs) sizes. Regardless of their size, I love to give them lots of cuddles, belly rubs and ear scratches. I do not usually travel for the holidays. I am open to assisting with training the pups with walking with leash and with simple commands such as sit, stay, down, and spin. If you need someone to drop in/walk your pup, I am your go-to person. Please note that I would appreciate at least a 1 day notice. Please try to avoid same day or last minute requests! I’m currently working full time from home and I have the flexibility to play with your fur baby as much as they need! During the week, I will have availability in the morning, mid day (if work schedule permits) and evening to stop by your place to let the pups out and walk the pups/check in on the kitties. I always stay with the pup when he/she is outside and can crate him/her in the home if needed. At your home, I would make sure to put them on leash when your pup is going out and follow your guidelines for the pup.

About: I have had 9 dogs over the years as pets between both of my parent’s houses. I pet sit a lot for friends, family, neighbors and from word of mouth! I’ve dog sat for as many as hot to 5 dogs at once, so more than one is not a big deal! I love to go for walks, especially if it’s nice and we can travel somewhere for a nice walk! One of my favorite things is snuggles while watching Netflix or doing homework! If you have cats, don't worry about it I love them too! I lived with my best friend for 6yrs who had 2 cats! The more the merrier! I am currently going back to school for my BSN. I am in online classes right now and work as an overnight aide in NICU at Virtua! I work 2 days a week and have a lot of open time! I work M/T and then have 9 days off, work fri-mon and have 7 days off and it just repeats. I know that can be confusing and overnights don’t work for some, so more than happy to chat about it in relation to what you need! :) I treat everyone’s pets as if they are my own. They get treated no different and if anything more spoiled because I know it’s hard having your humans leave you and having someone new around! Nothing but unconditional love!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
