About: I've personally owned and fostered several dogs, cats, and fish throughout my 24 years of life, and am very knowledgeable and experienced in handling all of their unique needs. I am very organized and detail-oriented and can guarantee that any instructions you have for your pet's care will be followed exactly as requested. I also have local vets and Petsmart on speed dial in the unlikely case of emergency. Beyond being qualified though, I truly love spending time with animals and ensuring they are as happy and healthy as can be! Some people on here are only interested in the money and do the bare minimum, but I can personally guarantee that I will go above and beyond to ensure you and your pet are happy! I work remotely, so I'm available pretty much anytime! Please check my calendar for availability prior to requesting services, I'll have it updated when I am unavailable. I promise to treat each pet like their own individual, making sure each one gets the proper love and care they deserve through long walks, scheduled food times, and endless pets!

About: Hi! I’m Shani, an attentive, responsible and compassionate caregiver who genuinely enjoys spending time with animals. I have a professional background in supporting individuals of all ages and abilities. I bring patience and strong communication skills to each job. I have experience coordinating and managing schedules. I ensure the well-being of those in my care. I am naturally skilled at providing safe, structured, and loving care for dogs, cats and other pets. I’m detail-oriented, and comfortable handling routines, while still being laid-back. I am confident I can handle you and your pet's needs - whether that means consistent walks, feeding schedules, or special instructions. I also work one-on-one with clients, giving me the ability to read behavior, adapt quickly, and personalize the relevant kind of attention—which is just as important for pets as it is for people. I’m calm under pressure, and committed to creating a positive, stress-free environment. Whether your pet needs an energetic walk, companionship during the day, or attentive overnight care, I’ll treat them like my own—with kindness, respect, and affection. Feel free to reach out—I’d love to meet you and your pet. I mostly work from home and I have a flexible schedule so I enjoy my play time with my furry buddies or walks outside as an enjoyable part of my day. I have room indoors and outdoors for playing, a big fenced grassy backyard and a quiet neighborhood to explore for our walks. I can host pets at my house or come visit them at yours.

About: What sets me apart is my lifelong experience with dogs of all sizes and my ability to tailor care to each dog’s needs. I’m patient with puppies, helping reinforce routines like potty training and leash skills, and attentive with senior dogs who may need a slower pace, medication reminders, or extra comfort. I keep dogs on their usual schedule, prioritize safety, and make sure they feel calm, secure, and loved while in my care. As a college student with a part-time job, I have a flexible schedule with days off dedicated to pet care, along with daily experience caring for my own dogs. For dog walking, I provide safe, attentive walks tailored to each dog’s pace and energy level, ensuring exercise, bathroom breaks, and comfort during every visit.

Jenny has been unbelievably kind and patient with my shy rescue Jesse. He is responding quickly to her positive energy, learning to be friends and allow her to walk him. She has brought her husband Anthony and little daschund so they can walk together, a beautiful healing experience for my unsocialized, scared dog. About: I grew up in Washington DC and I graduated from Wesleyan University in 2024. I am currently a full time student at Rowan-Virtua School of Osteopathic Medicine! Before I wanted to be a doctor I dreamed of being a veterinarian. I wanted to be around animals and care for them so badly that my parents signed me up for Cub Creek Science Camp (an animal camp). After two years as a camper, I got the opportunity to be an Animal Specialist in Training! This came with the responsibility of caring after the animals at the camp and leading activities for the campers. I grew always having dogs around the house and being at animal camp allowed me to learn about caring for all animals (cats, snakes, rodents, birds, etc.). I approach animal care with the utmost responsibility and care. Please note, I am very familiar and comfortable with specialized care. I have two senior dogs and one of them is blind. I am currently a medical school student so I have time in my schedule to look after your pups and kitties! Because of my class schedule I am free to do walks, drop ins, and house sitting. I care for my pets daily and ensure they have everything they need to be happy and healthy. I love animals and approach every pet the same way I do my own. I want to gain an understanding of your pets’ regular routine and replicate that so they feel the most comfortable once I begin caring for them.

About: I've taken care of pets of all kinds since I was very young, from birds to cats and lizards to dogs, being tasked to walk, care for, feed, and just generally oversee. I am also a current Pre-veterinarian undergrad, and am confident in my taught abilities to both handle and treat animals. I love working with any and all animals, and am absolutely thrilled to be working with your furry friends! I'm a fresh animal science graduate from the University of Delaware, and have a pretty flexible schedule. Inquire with what you need, and I'll let you know if the times align! I currently have a very eccentric 3 year old, and as such have experimented a lot in the safest possible options for your pets! I am super confident I can provide a safe environment where trust can be built and your pet is safe.

About: I have had multiple dogs ever since I was 10 and have never had an issue with any of them. They know they are loved and cared for! Currently I’m between jobs so I have a good and open schedule to care for your animals. I love animals and have a lot of fun playing with them and walking them! We have a fence at my house that allows my dog at home to have a wide open space for playing and exploring. He also receives many bones for good behavior throughout the day.

About: I mostly have experience caring for cats, but have gotten very comfortable with a variety of dogs as well. Always up for more time with any pets! I am in school full time and don't work so my afternoons and nights are very free unless I have an event. On weekends I am usually home most of the day as well. I'll be able to spend as much time as needed with your pet or pets and will care for them as well as your home as if they were my own!

Lisa was fantastic with our dog Kodi! Kodi can be a bit timid with strangers but Lisa was able to coax her on a short walk and got her to go to the bathroom, which was the biggest thing I cared about! I really appreciate how patient she was and she even gave my cat Kuzco some love too, which I appreciate! I would highly recommend working with her!

Sahiba was great to work with and took great care of our puppy during her visit to walk him. She came over to meet him and get to know him before the visit which put our minds at ease since we needed her to visit while we were out of town. He instantly seemed to bond with her as she has a great personality and obviously loves dogs. She was very good at communicating with us and really went the extra mile to make sure he was happy and well care for. I would definitely recommend her to anyone!

  • 97% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
