“Hailey was fantastic. She did a great job taking care of our 20-year-old doggo and gave her the special care and attention she needed. Hailey kept us updated with messages and photos while we were out of town, which really helped us relax and enjoy our trip. It was clear she genuinely cared about her. We came home to a happy pup and everything in great shape. We’d definitely have Hailey watch her again!”

“Alyssa was patient, kind, gentle, and loving towards my cat Ghost as if she knew her for ages. Ghost warmed up to her quickly and made my vacation even more relaxing knowing Ghost was well-taken care of. Alyssa went truly above and beyond and even did some light chores around the apartment without me requesting it, which made coming home more delightful. I truly appreciate everything Alyssa did to make this a smooth process. Thank you!”

About: I Have a whole lot of love and patience to give when you cant be with your fury companion. I have had dogs for 25 years (lost my longtime ones of 14/16 years old years back) and Because my heart still yearned to wanting to provide that love and quality of life every animal deserves, I turned to dog sitting and rescue/foster. I have a clean home with a fenced in yard. I want your pet to feel comfortable in their surroundings and will cater to the life they typically lead when with you(laying w me, play time ,walks, treat time, med administer, etc). When your fur baby leaves, I want them to leave happy and waiting for their next return. For the most part I only take 1 Dog at a time. I will always have my 4.5 year old Terrier mix Female. She is 11 pounds. (Very love able and low key. She was a “foster fail” who We just couldn’t part with. She fairs well w smaller, low key dogs). I will also consider caring for caged small birds/animals as I have done so for clients. It will be an extra $5-$10 per day. I Always send updates and pics while in my care. I would love to talk w you about your fur baby. Please feel free to reach out. Please also understand the communication process for meet and greets and bookings is imperative.to maintain(within 24 hour responses), or I will offer the inquiry of date to the next person that wishes to proceed immediately. Example: Request booking or meet and greet, I respond I’m available and don’t hear back within 24 hrs w a set date to proceed. I like to be fair to my fur baby customers who truly need me. All my best! I do work outside of the home. During that time your pup will be have everything they need to relax (I play gentle dog relaxing music in the background). My fury house guests just love this so! It’s a calming effect. I have a fenced in yard, always give lots of attention(endless belly rubs), and provide A relaxing, low key environment. I want them to enjoy their time Here.
“We had a very good experience with Shannon! We contacted her last minute and she was very accommodating. Shannon seemed very sweet and genuine, which are refreshing qualities! She came by our house everyday and made sure our two cats Ozzie and Dude were feed, clean and happy. We even received pictures. I would use and recommend Shannon’s services again . She was awesome ! About: I have had dogs my entire life and developed a genuine love for animals from an early age. I have sat and taken care of friends’ and families' pets over the years. While in high school my mother and I fostered dogs while they waited to be adopted. In addition, I spent 2.5 years working at a locally owned pet store, where I gained hands-on experience with pet care, behavior, and nutrition. I am widely available during the week besides scheduled appointments, errands, and housework. I have reliable transportation and keep an organized schedule so there is no overlap. Each animal should feel safe in their home while their owner is away, so I work calmly and patiently to earn their trust through my actions. Your dog should know I am there for their well-being, including all the good things like snuggling, playing, and tail wags. I treat each client's home with the kindness and respect I would want in return if the roles were reversed. I follow all instructions and information provided to the best of my ability, and your dog will receive plenty of love in the process.

“Oz was absolutely amazing with our girl Kaia while we were away for a long weekend! She took such great care of her, and I could tell right away that Kaia was in the best hands. I’ve been in the animal industry for over 20 years, so I’m definitely very particular about who I trust with my pets. Oz was everything I could have hoped for in a sitter. She was caring, attentive, trustworthy, and just genuinely wonderful with Kaia. We will 100% be saving Oz as our go-to sitter for all of our future trips. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone they can truly trust with their fur babies. Thank you so much again, Oz, for loving our girl and taking such great care of her! 🐾💜”

“This was my first time using Rover & I happened upon Kat after pouring over all the sitters in my area. I knew right away she was who I wanted to take care of my fur babies when I’m out of town. After a meet greet the kitties and I loved her. She’s a vet tech by profession, animal CPR certified & a mom to many fur babies herself. I felt content & safe leaving my world in her hands & knew if there was a problem that she’d be able to use her skills, judgment and background to handle it. Bonus she sends pictures & videos & I loved this:)... I plan on utilizing her from here on out & you should too!! You won’t be disappointed!!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
