“Chelsea was great! Throughout our vacation, she sent us so many photos and updates on our pets. It was clear that Chelsea was great with all of them: the cats and the bird loved her! Additionally, she went above and beyond. Our neighbor dropped off something unexpectedly, and she brought in the packages and mail. Couldn't have been happier with her!”

“Stephanie did a great job taking care of my 2 pups! She fed them, let them out, and gauve them meds. She kept in touch and made our day away even more enjoyable, knowing our furry family members were well taken care of. Will definitely use Stephanie again!”
“She’s a very thoughtful sitter, even made my cat a new catnip toy. Made sure everything was done before leaving and made sure my cat was super comfortable. Overall would definitely rebook!”

“We are so so happy to have found Lani!!! She is great with our hyper/crazy large dog. She is always available the days we need her and Callie truly loves when she visits. We can’t be more happy, thanks Lani!!!!!”

“Katie is absolutely amazing. We were having an incredibly stressful week and it was nice to know our dog was in great hands. Highly recommend, we’d love to have her watch Major again in the future.”

“Vera stepped in as a last-minute replacement, and I’m so grateful she did! She followed all of my detailed instructions and was very intuitive with my persnickety cat. She also sent very charming and kind updates. Highly recommend!”

About: I’ve cared for pets for family, friends, and neighbors, providing dependable and personalized care while they were at work, on vacation, or away from home. My experience includes drop-in visits, dog walks, potty breaks, feeding, refreshing water, playtime, administering basic care, and making sure pets feel safe and comfortable in their own environment. I understand that every pet has a unique personality and routine, so I always take the time to learn their needs and give them the attention, patience, and affection they deserve. My goal is to make every pet feel loved while giving owners peace of mind that they’re in caring and reliable hands. Pet sitting fits naturally into my schedule, allowing me to provide dependable and attentive care throughout the week. I’m available for drop-in visits, dog walks, potty breaks, and overnight care depending on your needs. I enjoy staying active and spending time with animals, so caring for pets is something I genuinely look forward to. I always make reliability a priority and communicate with owners to ensure their pets stay on their normal routine. Whether I’m caring for your pet in my home or yours, my priority is making them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I carefully follow each owner’s instructions regarding feeding schedules, walks, medications, playtime, and any special routines so pets experience as little disruption as possible. I provide plenty of attention, affection, exercise, and mental stimulation while maintaining a clean, secure environment. I also keep owners updated with regular messages and photos, so they can relax knowing their pet is happy and well cared for while they’re away.
“Melony was perhaps the best sitter I have hired. She was super responsive anytime I contacted her. She went above and beyond in her duties, even taking out the trash and ensuring everything was tidy before we returned. She was patient and kind to our less than friendly cat and never lost hope that they will eventually become friends, while also respecting her boundaries. I will absolutely be a return customer.”

“Deb was great with my energetic pup! She was very communicative throughout the whole process and provided updates during drop-in visits. I would highly recommend her and will definitely a repeat customer in the future!”

“Hunter was great with my not-so-friendly cat. She was very punctual with her visits and sent great updates with pics of my cat. She even came during a snowstorm! Would definitely work with Hunter again and highly recommend her for reliable, caring pet sitting. Thanks Hunter!”

About: I’ve taken care of animals for my whole life. I have dogs and puppies of my own that I raised, even other types of animals. I have a huge gated backyard for dogs to run around in. I also take care of my moms cat when she’s not around. I’m currently working part-time as a delivery driver. On my free time I take care and play with my dogs making sure they get the exercise they need. I have a fenced yard so dogs have lots of space to run and play. I can work with animals of all sizes. I’m a quick learner. I care about animals all the time.
“I hired Erika for drop in visits for my cat over Christmas. I appreciated that Erika offered a free consultation visit before booking with her. I felt confident leaving my cat with her, as a professional. She followed the instructions I left her and appreciated her level of communication. Will definitely hire again.”

“Sara is amazing. She followed my instructions and she kept in touch with me on how our old lady was doing. She used good judgment with regard to the poor air quality and heat by limiting the time our dog was out. She paid attention to our dog as well. I desperately wish she lived closer to us and am so thankful that she was able to come to our home. I highly recommend her and believe anyone who gets to have her take care of their pets is very lucky. She also has excellent work ethics.”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Waterbury
Maylynn was so sweet but most of all I loved how my boys reacted to her. It let me know that she is a good person and that my cats were in good hands while I was away. She was on time for both drop in’s and even made sure to give them some playtime. I’ll definitely be using Maylynn again and recommend her to everyone.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Waterbury. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
