“Christine has been amazing taking care of our 5.5 month old puppy, Ringo! Not only does she provide excellent care for Ringo, she provides us with feedback and pictures of her time with him, and takes good care of our home while she is there. I definitely recommend Christine!”

“Darya has done a great job taking care of our corgi puppy! She is always on time and gives a thorough daily update for her drop-in visits. We have appreciated how she follows our detailed instructions and is very responsive. We would definitely recommend Darya!”

“Lori did a wonderful job looking after my two cats. She is very kind and gentle, and both of them seemed to love her. She was communicative and reliable. I would rebook her in a heartbeat.”

“Theresa was awesome with my dog (Eclipse) and my cats. Great photos and came home to happy, comfortable pets. Will definitely be utilizing Theresa's services again. Thank you!”

“Deb was great with my energetic pup! She was very communicative throughout the whole process and provided updates during drop-in visits. I would highly recommend her and will definitely a repeat customer in the future!”

“This is my 2nd time hiring Erika. I feel safe leaving her to care for my cat. She goes above and beyond in caring for her. Certainly will be hiring her again next time I travel.”

“Maylynn was so sweet but most of all I loved how my boys reacted to her. It let me know that she is a good person and that my cats were in good hands while I was away. She was on time for both drop in’s and even made sure to give them some playtime. I’ll definitely be using Maylynn again and recommend her to everyone.”

“Sara is amazing. She followed my instructions and she kept in touch with me on how our old lady was doing. She used good judgment with regard to the poor air quality and heat by limiting the time our dog was out. She paid attention to our dog as well. I desperately wish she lived closer to us and am so thankful that she was able to come to our home. I highly recommend her and believe anyone who gets to have her take care of their pets is very lucky. She also has excellent work ethics.”
“Melony was perhaps the best sitter I have hired. She was super responsive anytime I contacted her. She went above and beyond in her duties, even taking out the trash and ensuring everything was tidy before we returned. She was patient and kind to our less than friendly cat and never lost hope that they will eventually become friends, while also respecting her boundaries. I will absolutely be a return customer.”

I specialize in providing a calm, structured, and incredibly safe environment for small and medium adult dogs. Your pup will receive constant attention, plenty of playtime, and treated just like family while staying with me." I am always mindful of my time management to ensure your pet gets consistent supervision, frequent potty breaks, and lots of individual attention. I have plenty of dedicated time to play, go for walks, and make sure your pup feels completely safe, happy, and pampered while you are away." Safety is my highest priority when caring for your pet. My home is a clean, calm, and smoke-free environment with plenty of open space for small and medium dogs to feel entirely at ease. I maintain a secure setup to ensure no escapes, provide constant direct supervision, and strictly follow any specific care, feeding, or routine instructions you provide to keep your pup happy and safe."

“Julie is super attentive, as soon as I put in my request for a visit she responded with her schedule. My pet is very shy , so to see that he took to Julie on her first visit was heart warming. Thank you Julie for taking care of Leo while I was away 💜”

“Chelsea was great! Throughout our vacation, she sent us so many photos and updates on our pets. It was clear that Chelsea was great with all of them: the cats and the bird loved her! Additionally, she went above and beyond. Our neighbor dropped off something unexpectedly, and she brought in the packages and mail. Couldn't have been happier with her!”
About: I’ve had pets of all kind since the age of 4 and taken love for them since. I’ve had about 5 dogs, 4 birds 3 red ear slider turtles, multiple fishes and 1 cat throughout. I work full time as a properties manager. But in my spare time I would like to walk some dog as i truest enjoy walks, sitting and a fun time. I would care for your pest as if they were my own(of course respecting all your standards). Communication is key as I would like all expectations to be met and transparency across. To be trusted with a love one is a responsibility I take very seriously
“She’s a very thoughtful sitter, even made my cat a new catnip toy. Made sure everything was done before leaving and made sure my cat was super comfortable. Overall would definitely rebook!”

“Laura was awesome! I highly recommend her as she is very conscience and caring towards the needs of all animals. She took great care of our elderly cat while we were away for an 8 day vacation. Laura went above and beyond to vacuum up litter, collect our mail, take out garbage and water plants that family members forgot to attend to. She also made sure the back yard visiting birds had plenty of fresh water. She provides 5 star service and care!”

“I used Alaina and Jake for daily drop in visits for my two cats while I was away for several days. My cats can be anxious and hide from people they are not used to but I received daily pictures of them being out of hiding and eating, so I knew they were happy. Upon returning home they were there cuddly, happy selves. It is a relief to have caring, responsible pet sitters when you are away and Alaina and Jake will be my first choice for future trips when they are available”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Prospect. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
