About: I have a great, rambunctious 6-year-old Golden Retriever named Cobie, and previously had another wonderful, loving Golden Retriever named Max, who we cared for well into his old age--17! I have taken care of dogs for friends and family all throughout my life, and always shower them with all the love in the world! I am currently in graduate school, but I am available for late afternoons or evenings and nights during the week, and anytime during the weekend! I always ensure safety of the dog and the home, whether that be crates, blocking off parts of the house, and following set rules and routines. Just as important is love and gentleness, doing my best to build a dog's trust.
About: I’ve had pets of all kind since the age of 4 and taken love for them since. I’ve had about 5 dogs, 4 birds 3 red ear slider turtles, multiple fishes and 1 cat throughout. I worked at a rescue for 3 years when I was in college so I know a lot about dog behavior and care. My husband and I own a small masonry business. About: I’ve always had a close connection to animals since I was younger! I currently work at a dog daycare, handling anywhere from 40-60 dogs all in one group. I’ve been a dog daycare employee for the past five years and on top of that do pet sitting for the business as well. I currently work at a dog daycare, we’re only open during the week so I’m fully available on the weekends. I can still do pet sits, drop ins, etc. during the week, although there are some days I work from 7am-6pm, a morning shift for me would be 7-12 and afternoon 12-6. (The only way I would be able to bring your dog into daycare with me is if you signed them up for daycare and went through the interview process) or else I could bring them but they would be sitting in a crate the whole time:( When pet sitting a non daycare dog, if I’m working all day 7-6 I do get an hour lunch break at noon, where I then have the time to run back to the dog to let them out etc. When I stay at a clients house I make sure that before I leave for good everything looks exactly as it did before I got there. Depending on the age and abilities of the dog determines how our time is spent. If it’s an older or not very fit, energetic dog we may just relax in the house for the most part. For dogs with more energy that need to do something, we will do activities based on the clients/dogs preferences. As well as I am an active person and love going hiking on nice days, I’m happy to take dogs for hikes to get some exercise as long as the dog is fit to do so and the owner gives permission.
