“Overall, I would rate Lindsay as a good pet-sitter. Prior to our vacation, she was very timely in responding to my messages and she also modified the Rover.com charges to a very reasonable rate for her visits with our 2 cats. It was while we were gone that I felt she fell short. My first issue was with her inconsistency in providing updates on the visits - there was a photo and thorough recap on the 1st day, but on subsequent days there was less detail and on one day there was no update at all. My second issue was with the timing of her visits. I had made it very clear that it was important to check in during the early afternoon, but at least twice she didn't visit until the evening. My third issue was with attention to detail - I had left very specific notes about the cats' food/water/litter and it didn't seem that she had followed them. Lastly, my greatest concern was with the well-being of our female cat and her being bullied by the male cat in our absence. We came back to find that she had a facial injury and had urinated in a chair out of fear. All-in-all our pets were reasonably cared for, but I was definitely disappointed. Lindsay is a very nice girl and I'm sure she had the best intentions. I think the issues may have been due to lack of experience or perhaps I wasn't clear enough on stressing the importance of certain things. (To those reading this review, please note that I have very high expectations for the care of my pets and I think Lindsay is absolutely capable of meeting the needs of a less demanding client.)”

For the first time, I could say that we vacationed stress and worry-free. Our babies were in great hands. “Madeleine has been caring for my dogs since high school. She is attentive, kind and wonderful with my dogs. It shows on how excited they are to see her when she drops in. She provides the best care and from the beginning asked for instruction to make sure she does exactly what is needed to be done each time she visits. I have cameras outside the house and she’ll often bring toys out to play with them during her drop ins. I can’t say enough good things about the care she provides for my dogs. About: I have owned a cat for seven years, and I enjoy brushing him, feeding him, giving him treats, cleaning the litter box, and cuddling. Sometimes he comes into my room, jumps on my bed, and sleeps with me. I also walk a puppy, a bulldog, named Buckiss. I clean up after him, and enjoy spending time rubbing his belly, and playing catch. At the end of our walk, I bring him back to his house, feed him, and give him water. I follow strict feeding instructions on how much food to give, and what kind of food he's allowed to have (no more than 2 treats a day). When walking in the winter, I make sure Buckiss has dog booties so his feet don't get hurt. I’m currently working part time so I have plenty of time in my schedule to care for your pet! I have a pretty flexible schedule. When I come to take care of a pet in my client’s home, I make sure that they are cared for with love and I do everything I can to make them feel safe, happy, and comfortable with me. I also make sure that when I end the stay, the client’s home is in the same or better condition than when I first came. I will make sure to clean after myself and leave the place looking as spotless as I can. I try to be a considerate and clean house guest.
