“Luke was so kind and sweet to our pups! Was very attentive and caring. Will definitely book over and over again as long as he’s available. Thank you for being amazing!!! We left town for a trip and definitely eased our worries.”

“Kristi is so amazing and she’ll treat your furbaby well! We found Kristi in search for someone to care for our pup, Hiro. This was also around the time Hiro was experiencing a limp only to find out he was having issues with his ACL. We had to make major modifications to his care and feeding, and Kristi has been incredibly accommodating! I definitely recommend Kristi for anyone looking for a hand with their pets. She is timely, reliable, communicative, and I’m so happy to have Hiro in her care!”

“Jamysen is great! She was very responsive despite my last-minute request, flexible with scheduling, and genuinely attentive to my dog's walking needs. It gave me peace of mind knowing my dog was in such caring and reliable hands - I could tell he was happy and well looked after. We’ll definitely book again!”

About: I have been taking care of dogs since I was 13. The first dog I had to care for was my own, when I got my dog Dash my dad said we could keep her if my siblings and I took care of her. She is now 10 years old and the greatest responsibility I have taken care of in my life. I also started dog sitting for friends and family not long after. I have taken care of older dogs who need medication and help with their mobility. Puppies who have been from 1 month to 1 year old, whether it was stopping by afterschool to let them out while potty training or keeping them active. I’ve taken care of dogs from complicated backgrounds who need more time to open up. One of the dogs I regularly take care of was a rescue who didn’t like men and was scared of new people I would spend time with the family in their home so the dog could get used to me before i would take care of him on my own. Understanding a dogs personality and being respectful of their space is always important to learn to establish a connection with a dog. Adapting to their routine makes for an easy transition for both dog and owner. I enjoy caring for dogs and getting to know them, there’s nothing greater then having a dog by your side. I am more compatible with pets who can go a few hours without supervision. Currently I am home for break from college and have most of my schedule free. In the summer when I come back to Boise I work a part time job. So being able to leave for a few hours works the best for me. When taking care of someone else’s pet I always ask as many questions as possible, based on both the pet and owner. Learning their routines, personalities and quirks helps me best adapt to the lifestyle both pet and owner share. When taking care of a pet in their own home being respectful and responsible is a must not only do I have to earn the pets trust but also the owners. I am being trusted with someone’s beloved pet and want to make sure it’s easy for both parties. I have a chiwinne named Dash who is my pride and joy. She loves to lounge in the sun, in warmer weather she will always be outside in our fully fenced backyard where we can see her. She likes to go on a small walk each day and play inside with her toys. Dash would rather stay laying in her bed or the couch all day if she could but we always try to keep her healthy and safe. Being part winner dog she still has a long spine, we always try to make sure she’s careful from not hurting herself.
“Anastasia was great, truly professional. She offered to come over for a little meet and greet ahead of time. On the day of, she confirmed in the app and was timely in arriving. She took such sweet care of my pup and provided several photos of their adventures together. It is such a stress relief to know that my girl is getting nice, long walks during my working days now. We will be using Anatasia regularly!”

“Gayle was wonderful with our dog. Our dog is well behaved but big, 70lbs. Gayle was able to walk him for 1 hour everyday. S Gayle is great with dogs and super responsive. Loved the use of a rover Card everyday sent from Gayle!”

“Craig by far exceeded my expectations. I was worreid sick about leaving my pup. This is my first time using Rover, and I literally had only two days notice to find someone. Craig accomodated my last minute request to meet, and instantly I felt at ease with him. I travel once a month for work, and this latest trip is the first time I felt at peace and was not stressed out the entire trip with worry and regret. My pup adores him. He sent FANTASTIC pictures oftern, showed up as scheduled and communicated often with me. I can't say enough great things about him. Its so comforting to know we found such a caring and great human to help out with our fur baby. We are absolutely going to be repeat customers from this point on. 10/10!!”

“I booked Emily to walk my 18 month old Golden Retriever the day of my child's 4th birthday. I was hoping he would come home nice and tired! When I met Emily she was very friendly and my pup took to her right away. She took him for a nice long walk and when he came home he was happy and soooooooo pleasant to be around! The next day I took him for a walk and he did not pull on the leash or bite it, as is his usual custom! I can attribute that to Emily because I know she worked with him! I will use her again for sure! Happy Puppy means Happy Mom!!!”

“Linda did an excellent job with our two dogs. They were happy to see Linda when she came to take them on their daily walk. Linda was great from before the start. To begin there was a list of people to choose from. First contact from Linda before saying she would walk our dogs she asked if there was a time she could meet our dogs. At first meeting the dogs were found of Linda who asked questions and listened to our concerns as well as instructions. Linda did a wonderful job and we would recommend her to any and everyone. Thank you Linda and Rover!”

“Kory came to our house to walk and check in on our dog multiple times per day while we were on vacation. Since our dog isn't great around other dogs and therefore can't stay at a sitter's house, we were very grateful that Kory was willing to do this for us! She gave a little update each time she came over and sent a photo each time, which really helped calm my nerves about how our dog was doing, especially since this was their first time meeting. I am pretty particular about who I allow to care for my dog, but I felt like Sherlock was in great hands with Kory the entire time! She was even able to check up on him for an additional day at the last minute when our flight got cancelled!”

“Our dog,Buster, loved Jolynne! She was very patient with him when he wasn’t sure about going out in the rain. Today he was waiting at the door for her even though I home ! I will definitely use her again!”

About: My son, Henry (11), and daughter, Ella (9), love animals of all kinds and were interested in becoming pet sitters/dog walkers. My husband, Ben, and I offered to partner with our kids so they would have some help as they started their journey. The details below are a little more about Henry and Ella. Please note that Ben and I will be the primary caretakers for any animals we interact with and are comfortable with dogs of all sizes and energy levels. (Henry) I have been around dogs of all ages my entire life. From puppies to senior dogs, I am sure to walk at a pace the dog is comfortable with and take breaks if the dog needs time to rest. (Ella) I love all dogs but especially those that like to be pet and snuggled. (Henry) Most of the time weekends are free for me so I thought why not start a dog walking business to start saving money. Outside of animals, I enjoy learning about computers and new technology. (Ella) I am normally free in the afternoons after school. Outside of dog sitting I enjoy gymnastics. (Henry) I have a pug that I walk everyday in my neighborhood. Even though I have a small dog, I also have experience with larger dogs such as boxers, golden retrievers, pyrenees, labs, doodles, and border collies. (Ella) When the dogs are in my backyard, I stay with them to make sure they feel comfortable.

About: I have been taking care of family/friend pets through the entirety of high school and afterwards. I have worked with a positive feedback trainer with my dog and have been able to apply those teachings to other behaviors in animals. I also know how to handle medications for dogs, from pills, intestine liquids, and topical creams. I absolutely adore big dogs and will totally let them be lap dogs. I love little dogs, even if they try to be ferocious creatures. I work a part-time job and am focusing most of my free time to medical concerns. I traditionally work in the early morning, 6-12. This leaves my afternoons free for the pets, but I can figure out how to care for them in the morning if necessary. Beyond that, I want to maintain active with the animals, playing, cuddling and taking for walks. I have 3 dogs of varying sizes (8, 25, & 100). They have different diets and activity levels, but all maintain their appropriate body weight. We have a fenced backyard for them to roam around in. The big dog is an anxious creature so he gets put in the crate when everyone leaves the house. I specifically worked with him on it and he has done wonderfully with positive reinforcement. I am able to transfer this knowledge to other animals, it might just take a few tries. Access to treats might help 😋. For walks, I can handle dogs big dogs and the ones that pull pretty well. I refuse to use choke chains and shock collars. If they are wearing one, I would like (with your permission) to switch it for a regular collar during the time of my stay.

Jamysen is great! She was very responsive despite my last-minute request, flexible with scheduling, and genuinely attentive to my dog's walking needs. Craig obviously enjoys his work and is especially fond of my pup because she is an eager and willing walker. I am unable to give her the exercise she needs, so Im thrilled to have someone who truly cares about her taking her on her daily walks. I trust Craig to take care of my dog and give her the activity level so important to keeping her happy and engaged. She will drop whatever she is doing and be on high alert when his van comes down our street. That speaks volumes about how much she loves her walks, but more importantly, what a good, kind handler Craig is. Dogs always have good "taste" in people!
Samatha was wonderful. As stated in her experience block she is "dedicated to being in tune with each animal and their individual personalities, unique quirks and tells, likes and dislikes, and personal sensitivities" which proved absolutely true in our case with our high energy, reactive dog who is also epileptic. She is knowledgeable and sensitive to the animal as well as the pet parent(s). Since I was home when she came to walk the dog for us I had the opportunity to chat with her a bit and watch how she worked with our dog. She was great and we hope to see her again.
