About: Hello! My name is Sarah. I thoroughly enjoy being entrusted to watch over others pets and homes while they are away. I have done so for friends, family, or through Rover and Trusted House Sitters for many years. I have experience with various dog breeds and temperaments, cats, turtles, and the occasional farm animal. I have experience with larger breeds of dogs and can handle a puller! I am quite active and enjoy multiple dog walks or runs. I'm a freelance writer and musician. Prior to this, I was a manager within the credit union industry for 12 years. With the nature of my work, I am very flexible with schedules and can spend a lot of time with your pets! I travel quite frequently and have done many pet and house sits while visiting different states and countries. I have met some amazing pet parents and pets alike in my travels! Boise, Idaho is home base for me for the majority of the year but I spend quite a bit of time in Nevada, Florida, and North Carolina as well. I do not currently have any pets, with my traveling lifestyle, it just isn’t plausible. I hope to again eventually but right now I really enjoy being able to care for other’s animals. My schedule is very open with the nature of my work. I am able to adapt to just about any schedule while I’m not traveling. I treat a client's home and animals with respect and cater to the needs that they are accustomed to. I am attentive and understanding of varying needs of the client and their pets. Since our dog isn't great around other dogs and therefore can't stay at a sitter's house, we were very grateful that Kory was willing to do this for us! She gave a little update each time she came over and sent a photo each time, which really helped calm my nerves about how our dog was doing, especially since this was their first time meeting. I am pretty particular about who I allow to care for my dog, but I felt like Sherlock was in great hands with Kory the entire time! She was even able to check up on him for an additional day at the last minute when our flight got cancelled!”

I’ve had the joy of sharing my life with a diverse range of breeds and mixed breeds, including Golden Retrievers, Beagles, Labs, Pitties, German Shepherds, Huskies, Malamutes, Pointers, and elusive Eastern European Village dogs from Greece ;) Each dog I’ve cared for has taught me something unique, and I’ve formed deep, lasting bonds with them all. My favorite pastime is exploring and moving through nature with my dogs. I love taking them on adventures, like exploring new trails, enjoying playtime, soaking in rivers, or soaking up some fresh mountain air. Whether we’re running, hiking, walking, boating, or simply lounging in the sunshine at the park, I love seeing them in their element and ensuring they get the exercise and mental stimulation they need. Ultimately, what matters most to me is spending meaningful time with them, no matter the activity. My experience includes traveling internationally with dogs (both by air and ground), working as a client representative at a Boise veterinarian clinic, and volunteering with the Idaho Sled Dog Challenge and various rescue organizations throughout the West, where I’ve served as a foster coordinator and dog walker.
