She was even able to come over a few hours early the day we left so that our sweet girl didn't need to be alone right after we left. About: I have mostly taken care of dogs, cats and chickens. When I had my own dogs, I didn’t realize that house and pet sitting was even an option. I would drive them about an hour to a wonderful woman who had converted her former horse property into a place where dogs could run and get plenty of exercise in the horse rink. It was a much better alternative than a traditional kennel but was disruptive to their normal routine and caused anxiety. One trip especially stands out. A snowstorm came through while I was away, and because the property was located at the top of a hill, we couldn’t get to the dogs for three additional days. They were safe and well cared for, but the experience made me realize how much I would have preferred for them to be comfortable in their own home, surrounded by familiar sights, smells, and routines. I’m a retired professional now self-employed who is looking for opportunities to combine house and pet sitting with exploring Ada County, Idaho and Clackamas County Oregon. I’m currently pet-free, but I’ve had three dogs, three cats and many chickens over the years, so I understand the companionship pets provide and the importance of keeping them comfortable, safe, and on their normal routine. I’m comfortable with both dogs, cats and chickens and would treat your pets calmly and with kindness. As a homeowner myself, I understand that your home is your biggest investment and your personal space. I’m observant and pay attention. If I hear water running unexpectedly, notice something unusual, or see something that doesn’t seem right, I’m the type of person who investigates rather than ignoring it. I’m conscientious about keeping a home secure, clean, and well cared for. I enjoy a peaceful home environment and would be happy spending time with your pets, taking dogs for walks, watering plants, collecting mail, bringing in packages, and generally keeping an eye on things while you’re away.

Additionally, we had never had a house sitter before so this was a little nerve wracking hiring someone off of an app. Once we met in person I was put at ease particularly because how my skittish Mini Aussie was surprisingly not skittish with L and as it turns out I know their mom and they live really close to us. I would recommend L to anyone who needs house sitting or animal sitting. L is very good with animals, detail oriented, professional, trustworthy and conscientious. From my upbringing, I have extensive experience with animal body language, their needs, and even have experience training dogs. Dogs and cats were my childhood, and still hold a special place in my heart today. I understand the anxieties of leaving your critters at home, whether it’s just for a day, or for a trip. I promise in my care, your fur babies will be properly cared for, protected, and truly adored! I currently work full time, mostly 10-6 and 11-7 shifts, with my days off being Sunday and Tuesday. Outside of my working hours, I am flexible and available to come spend time with your pets! Unfortunately, I currently live in apartment that does not allow pets, so I do not offer services within my home. But I am an incredibly reliable petsitter in my clients home. I have a reputation for being respectful, trustworthy, and a truly loving petsitter. I always aim to provide the service I would want to receive.

“Daniel took AMAZING care of my pets and my home!! I have chickens, an indoor cat, & a 12 month old Great Pyrenees, who is pretty difficult. He is either high strung or napping… there’s no middle ground. Daniel’s calm demeanor was just what was needed to create a successful stay with my dog! He took him walking with other dogs which was great & Daniel seemed to have managed quite well. The hens and kitty appeared to have also been taken care of perfectly! I hope to have Daniel come back and stay for my next getaway! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!”
