“Yajaira has been the best dog sitter for our two pups. She’s flexible, easy to work with, great communication skills. Our puppy’s are so much happier since hiring her!”

“Lauren is really thorough with check-ins and takes the time to get to know your pet. Would highly recommend! I love the visit cards with such incredible detail about Selene’s interaction on the drop in’s. I know she is in great hands when we have to leave her.”

“Cailin was great! She responded to my inquiry quickly and communicated with me when needed. She took good care of our two cats. I’d recommend Cailin for your pet care.”

“Jenn has a great head on her shoulders and I felt very confident about her caring for my two spoiled kitties. When I came home after our trip, there were no signs of stress or upset, like food being left uneaten or litter box accidents or hiding. I was very happy with her service and I highly recommend her!”

“Tifany is our go-to! We are so happy to have come across her on Rover. She gives the best updates, always takes cute pics of our pup, and has been so patient with and understanding of our puppy’s development and needs (as well as mine as a helicopter dog mom LOL). We have been using her as needed since we brought our puppy home in July and have been consistently happy with how it’s gone. Our puppy loves her and you will too!”

About: I've been taking care of dogs since I was 12, it started with my sister's dog and I've slowly expanded to neighbors and friends loving pets! Im good with knowing their body language so I know how to react appropriately. Im used to long walks with dogs. I make sure the dog is happy. Im a part time photographer so I'm almost always home! I do school online so I won't be gone during the day. I have time for 2-3 walks a day, lots of play time. I have a fenced yard to let them out if it's an emergency or if they just want to run. I take dogs on 2-3 walks a day depending on what the dog wants. I let dogs sleep with me in my bed, I love cuddling on the couch as well. I love playing tug of war. If the dog gets messy while at my house I will give them a bath. If brushing is part of their routine I will gladly do that! I love playing with pets! They will have all my attention unless they want to be left alone.
About: I love my little doggie and I’ll love on yours like they’re mine! I can snuggle with your dog if that’s their thing, or take them on walks around my neighborhood! I have some experience with special needs as my first rescue doggie was one-eyed and then had to have his remaining eye removed due to glaucoma and cataracts. I have experience doing eye drops and pet meds, as well as accommodating dogs with limited vision. I’m happy to send regular updates and photos as I know I love those updates when I’m away. Dogs are family and I’ll take great care of yours! Don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions. I’m currently working part time, so I will have flexibility in caring for your dog and can talk with you to learn more about your dog’s typical schedule. I have a backyard that works well for small dogs and I am happy to do walks if that’s what your dog needs! I do have two kids who are great and very gentle with our special needs dog.
“We were so happy we could get Nova to take care of our cat again! She’s the first sitter we’ve hired for him and we truly hit the jackpot. She’s professional, easy to communicate with, keeps us well updated on how our cat is doing, and goes above and beyond to provide good care.”

About: I’ve been surrounded by animals all my life. Soon enough I started getting pet sitting gigs from friends and family. From elderly dogs to 5 week old kittens I love and cherish every moment with them making sure they get all my love and attention. I’m currently waiting to hear back from jobs so I have all the time in the world currently. So if you need a pet sitter I’m available! I have two skittish cats in my home so I sadly cannot take care of pets in my home. When it comes to clients animals I make sure they are comfortable with me and give them the attention they want. I available for long walks and lot of play time outside.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was young. I love to take them on walks and play with them until they are worn out! My mornings and evening during the week are free, and weekend morning or afternoons are best. There are times throughout the day I’m available to come and check/play with your pets! I show my pets as well as other people’s pets love and affection, but also discipline and training when needed. I’m very playful with animals and love to entertain them.

“Kasey was so great! My cats are very shy and timid and Kasey managed to get them all to make an appearance on the 2nd day, I was shocked. She communicated and sent pictures and really put my mind at ease while I was away. Absolutely would recommend her! She will be my go to from now on.”

“Vanessa has great communication and cared for my cat while I was out of town. I appreciate the timeliness and overall care she provided for my sweet boy. I would recommend her to care for your animals, too.”

“Andreana is fantastic! She is kind and very patient with my shy dog. She is punctual and great at communicating. I highly recommend Andreana for your pet care needs!”

“Shana took excellent care of our two cats, carefully noting and following instructions for their particularities. She responded to my request and all messages right away, which made working with her easy and reassuring. Shana’s care is conscientious and thoughtful, and I unhesitatingly recommend her.”

“Jordan was the perfect sitter while we were away for a week. Always on time always, extremely communicative, and shared photos/videos constantly. Warmly recommended and would absolutely book her again.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Walla Walla
My wife and I have multiple animals. Brooklyn did a great job of taking care of my small zoo. Are senior Dog liked her enough to take her medication. And the cats warmed up to her quickly. Brooklyn was even great with our reptiles. Thank you, Brooklyn for taking such great care of our fur babies.
We feel so lucky to have found Jennifer to check in on our Murphy during the week! She is kind, attentive, and sends the best updates and photos. When Murphy got sick during one of her visits she was so helpful and reassuring, staying with him until we could get home, and continuing to follow up and check on his well being after! We would recommend Jennifer to anyone and everyone!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
