“Sam did a great job with our two cats. One was rather timid and he worked with her over the booking to get her from only eating on the stairs, to eating in the kitchen where she normally eats. We appreciated his patience with the cats and his willingness to play with them every day as they are very curious and energetic!”

About: With over 8 years of experience in animal care, I’ve had the pleasure of working with a wide variety of pets—including dogs, cats, rats, and even lizards! I’m confident handling pets of all ages, from playful puppies to senior companions who need a bit of extra TLC. I also have experience administering medications like pills, topical creams, and pet inhalers. I’m always happy to learn your pet’s unique routine and needs so they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. I’m a second-year student at the University of Minnesota and love spending my free time caring for animals. While my weekday schedule is limited due to classes, I’m fully available on Fridays and would be happy to dedicate that time to pet care. I look forward to meeting new pets and giving them the attention they deserve! Since I care for pets in their own homes, I always try to make sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you're away. I stick to their usual routine—whether that means walks, meals, playtime, or meds—whatever they need to feel at ease. I know how important it is to have someone you trust in your home, so I’m always respectful of your space and do my best to leave things just as I found them (or better!). I’ll also send plenty of photo updates so you can see how your pet is doing and feel reassured while you're away. I treat every pet like they’re my own and try to make the time you're gone as stress-free as possible for both of you.

“Melissa was amazing with our 2 cats! They warmed up to her so quickly and she snapped some great photos of them too really capturing their personalities. Great communication and gave us such peace of mind while we were away from our girls for the week. Thank you again Melissa!”

About: Our family dog, Rosie, a beautiful black toy poodle, passed when she was 16 and I was 21. I always took her on walks, fed her, and she slept with me. Ever since Rosie's passing, my family and I aren't ready for another dog, but I miss having one around. When a good friend of mine told me about Rover, I knew I would be the perfect candidate. I'm caring and gentle and every dog I sit will get the proper amount of attention. Dogs are like children, all they need is care and love! I'm currently working with my mom's company, Zoom Rides For Seniors. It a ride share service that focuses on caring for seniors and the disabled. We take seniors to their doctor appointments, the grocery store, wherever their hearts desire. I only do local rides and all of my rides don't take longer than 20 mins and then I come right back home. If I'm not home, Trish will be home since she's the owner and mostly in her office. I don't work after four either. I live in a five bedroom house, plenty of space for your fur baby to roam in. He or she can sleep in their crate in my brother's old room, which is down the hall from me. We do have a massive backyard that goes up on a hill, but we also have a closed deck where the fur baby can freely play and go to the bathroom in. I will probably be going outside on the deck each time as well to watch him or her.
About: I have been a dogsitter for nearly a decade but have been an animal lover my whole life. I love pets immensely, and even though they aren't mine, I'll make them feel as special as possible! I make sure each dog receives as many belly rubs as I can muster up, and ensure they eat and go out when needed. I love playing tug-of-war, and snuggles on the couch are just as fun. Some of my experiences as a pet sitter include drop-in visits, dog walking, and house-sitting, and I am also experienced in cat-sitting. At the end of each visit, I'll leave by treating your dog with a smile and a cookie! I am available most weekday afternoons after 4 pm, except Wednesdays. With advanced notice, I am available on weekends at any time of day. I am a teacher, so most of my schedule is open in the evening. I am typically available around the holidays, but please provide adequate notice so I can best cater to my schedule and yours. Your fur baby is just that - your baby! I will do everything I can to take excellent care of your pet while they’re in my service. At your home, I will ensure that everything has remained tidy and that your pet is where they’re meant to be. At a meet and greet, I like to see where your pet eats their food, uses the bathroom, and where they’re allowed to be while I am not there. This allows you and me to set some expectations and create more comfort while you’re gone! I treat each pet as my own, giving extra love before I leave.

Waldwick cat parents share their Rover experiences
Grace took great care of our cat while we were on vacstion. She was very diligent and conscientious, always right on time, floowing directions and giving our cat the attention she needs. Grace seems to have a way with animals because our cat warmed up to her immediately. Highly recommend.

This was our first time using Courtney. She took wonderful care of my 2 Abyssinian Cats for the week we were away . She was diligent and efficient, and spent time and played with them, She was easy to work with and my Cats loved her... She was on top of water fountain, feedings, and kitty litter patrol. She played with them daily and sent me updates on how they were doing , as well as daily photos.. I felt very at ease that my pets were in good care and would highly recommend Courtney and will definitely be using her again in the future.
