About: A retired marine biologist. I have had dogs my entire life. Raised puppies and watched them grow old. I’ve cared for dogs of all ages and energy levels. I just retired. I’m available most days if you need your pets to be simply fed, let out to pee, or to be entertained. I enjoy walking dogs. Just tell me how long or how far they need to be walked and we will try to hit that distance. I have a fenced yard and a young corgi who has full run of the house. He can be shy to other dogs. If your dog has any aggressive tendencies or Keahi does not get along with them for whatever reason, we cannot board your dog. Meet and greets are mandatory before any boarding. I have no kids on property. All additional fees are negotiable if you live close, puppies are well behaved, house trained, and close to 1 yr old.

About: I've always had a deep love and soft spot for animals, especially those in need. One of my most meaningful experiences was taking in a pregnant shelter rescue. She gave birth to 13 puppies, and I cared for her and each of the pups until I was able to rehome them with loving families. I continued to care for the mother until she passed, and that experience strengthened my passion for helping rescue animals. Over the years, I've helped care for and rehome multiple rescue dogs, giving them a second chance at a happy life. My goal after retirement is to open a rescue on my own land so I can continue making a difference in the lives of as many fur babies as possible. About: I’ve had multiple pets my whole life, from dogs to chameleons, and always cared for them with compassion. I am currently helping my grandparents take care of their 13 year old dog, who is still going strong! Within these years as a pet owner, as well as rescuing animals, I’ve learned a whole lot: bottle feeding, administering medication, transition from wet to dry food, potty training, and tricks! I am currently on summer break as a nursing student so, I am available Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday from 8am-5pm. This will be my availability until fall semester starts. I work about 45 minutes away from their house so he would have been alone for 12 hours as his doggie daycare was full. Kara was extremely responsive and helped guide me through the process of how to use rover (as it was my first time). All responses were probably within 15 minutes of my messages so I felt good about the booking. She stopped by twice during the day to let him out into the yard for some potty and play and from the many photos that she sent he seemed to absolutely love having her there with him! She followed all of my instructions perfectly and had no problem figuring out what to do while I was at work which helped take some of the stress off of me. My only complaint is that she doesn’t live closer to my own house so that I could book her as an ongoing client because it worked out so well!
