“Highly recommend Maddy! She’s easy to communicate with and very thorough. We set up a meet and greet in advance and our dog loved her immediately. We look forward to booking her services once more!”

“This review is loooong overdue! Arianna and Jonas have been amazing pet "drop-in" sitters for our Big 3 as soon as I moved back to the island. With our unpredictable work schedule, A&J are so patient and understanding when dates need to be changed. I'm so grateful for their help and my babies love them!! I totally trust them with my pack and my house LOL!!”

About: I love animals all shapes, sizes, and ages! I’ve taken care of many animals in other’s homes— but back home (on the mainland), I have a rescue rottie who’s 4, a husky who’s 5, and a border collie who’s 17 (and still kicking!) I also have two sweet kitties. I can handle big dogs, senior dogs, and dogs with special meds or dietary restrictions. Let me care for your babies! I currently work in the morning, usually about 5a-12/1p, but I can drop in or walk anytime after that! I usually go on an evening walk everyday anyways, so your baby will definitely get some exercise with me! I’ll come to your home throughout the day as many times as your pets may need! I’ll be sure to play with them, give them food/water, let them out to potty, and make sure all of their needs are taken care of so you won’t have to worry!
“Ms. Lehua is a sweet, eager and reliable caregiver! She was available on short notice for several days to reassure me that he was doing fine while I was at work. Thankfully, he has been recovering well. I will continue to book her going forward and recommend her to everyone! 🙇🏻♀️🙏🐶💗✨️”

“Daija was amazing with our pups! She was very communicative with us while we were out of town and sent lots of cute videos of our pups having fun!! Definitely will be rebooking ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

About: I own two dogs of my own, a terrier named Roscoe and a wiener dog named Dash. If you decide to let me take care of your pet, I guarantee they will receive all the attention and love they deserve. I will feed them, walk them, groom them, and treat them as if they’re my own family. My schedule is flexible and I am willing to work with you to determine what best works for your and your dog/cat. Please feel free to communicate with me on what you think is best for your dog/cat and I will of course respect your wishes, as I understand your animal is a valued and loved member of your family. I hope you choose me to take care of your special, furry family! I do work, but your dog will never be alone for more than three hours at a time, as I’m able to go home frequently during works hours. I have a fenced yard, and two dogs of my own to help keep your dog company. I have plenty of toys and treats to keep your dog entertained for hours.
“Leonard was great! Kept my 3 cats alive and well! Gave me great peace of mind knowing they were well cared for when I went back to the mainland to deal with my mom's care.”

“Ciara is absolutely amazing! She is so caring and patient, especially with my timid puppy. She took the time to make him feel comfortable and truly helped bring him out of his shell. Throughout my trip, she sent photos and detailed updates about their time together, which gave me so much peace of mind—especially since it was my first time being away from him and he’s still so young. I truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend her services.”

About: Hi, I’m Esther, 25, and a trained Vet Tech with a lifelong passion for animals. I’ve had dogs and cats my entire life and have experience caring for pets of all sizes, ages, and personalities. Through my veterinary background, I understand animal behavior, health, and how important patience, routine, and proper care are. Whether it’s walks, playtime, medication, cuddles, or simply keeping your pet company, I will make sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away. I treat every pet like family and always care for them as if they were my own. 🩷🐾 As a Vet Tech and lifelong animal lover, pet care naturally fits into my daily routine. I’m able to provide consistent care, companionship, potty breaks, feeding, walks, and lots of attention throughout the day. I understand the importance of keeping pets on their normal routine to help them feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and routine are always my top priorities. As a trained Vet Tech with lifelong experience caring for dogs and cats, I’m comfortable caring for pets of all sizes, ages, and personalities. I always follow the owner’s instructions carefully, keep a clean and calm environment, and make sure pets feel safe, loved, and stress-free in their own home. I’m also experienced with administering medication if needed and paying close attention to any changes in behavior or health.
About: I have grown up with dogs and know how to be friendly with them. I also currently have a dog of my own named Lucky, and have had him for 3 years. I love him and make sure to show as such by giving him constant attention and love; the amount of love I’ll show your dogs will be the same amount I show my own dog. I am typically not busy and do not have any other jobs outside of pet sitting, so my schedule is often times open and flexible I typically allow dogs to go wherever I go unless it’s clear they’re not allowed within a certain area or if that area isn’t safe; of course I don’t let them follow me outside unless the area is fenced or if they have a leash on. I’ll also keep a close eye on your dog and make sure they’re not doing anything they’re not supposed to.
“Kenzie did drop in visits and walks while I was away. She is very knowledgeable, conscientious, and professional that I felt assured about the care of my pups. Highly recommend Kenzie to watch after your pups. Thank you Kenzie!”

Madalyn did an excellent job taking care of our fur baby while we were on vacation. She is very reliable, trustworthy, and clearly loves animals. She kept us updated with photos and messages, which gave us great peace of mind while we were away. We came home to a happy, well-cared-for pet, and we couldn't have asked for a better sitter. We highly recommend Madalyn and will definitely book her again!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
