“Rachelle was absolutely amazing with our 2 pups. It was their first experience with a drop in visitor so we weren’t sure how they would do especially our more shy pup. Rachelle was so great with them and they adjusted to her very quickly. Rachelle was great at communicating and sending a detailed note about her visit and how they were doing along with some candid photos. We felt comfortable with her caring for our pups and being in our home and would book with her again!”

“Corinne took great care of my dog! Thank you for being so attentive and taking such good care of her. I really appreciate the updates and photos. Highly recommend, would definitely book again!”

“Madalyn did an excellent job taking care of our fur baby while we were on vacation. She is very reliable, trustworthy, and clearly loves animals. She kept us updated with photos and messages, which gave us great peace of mind while we were away. We came home to a happy, well-cared-for pet, and we couldn't have asked for a better sitter. We highly recommend Madalyn and will definitely book her again!”

“This review is loooong overdue! Arianna and Jonas have been amazing pet "drop-in" sitters for our Big 3 as soon as I moved back to the island. With our unpredictable work schedule, A&J are so patient and understanding when dates need to be changed. I'm so grateful for their help and my babies love them!! I totally trust them with my pack and my house LOL!!”

“Daija was amazing with our pups! She was very communicative with us while we were out of town and sent lots of cute videos of our pups having fun!! Definitely will be rebooking ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

About: I love animals all shapes, sizes, and ages! I’ve taken care of many animals in other’s homes— but back home (on the mainland), I have a rescue rottie who’s 4 and a sweet kitty! I can handle big dogs, senior dogs, and dogs with special meds or dietary restrictions. Let me care for your babies! I do work in the afternoons, but other than that I’m pretty free to walk/feed in the mornings and evenings. Your pet will never be left along for more than 8hrs! I’ll come to your home throughout the day as many times as your pets may need! I’ll be sure to play with them, give them food/water, let them out to potty, and make sure all of their needs are taken care of so you won’t have to worry!
“Leonard was great! Kept my 3 cats alive and well! Gave me great peace of mind knowing they were well cared for when I went back to the mainland to deal with my mom's care.”

About: I’ve taken care of cats and dogs of various ages, genders, and life stages for friends and family. I have experience taking care of senior pets in critical condition and have handled emergency situations with urgency and care. I take animals’ wellbeing very seriously and I love taking care of them. I am currently unemployed and take online college classes so I have lots of free time! My only obligation is driving my partner to/from work but it’s easy to work around that! My cats are strictly indoor only and I play with them everyday to ensure they are getting good exercise and entertainment. A pet’s safety is my number one priority, they will not be left unsupervised or unleashed outside of the household while they are under my care.

“Yua was so thoughtful and worked really hard to ensure Momo was well cared for. She was on time, sent tons of photos and worked really hard to communicate with me as well. I recommend her to anyone who needs help caring for their pets. She is wonderful!”

“Amber took great care of my four dogs. Gave regular updates with each visit. She let me know how they were and also how they were behaving. She even fed the stray cats outside my house that I leave food out for and I didn't even ask her to do that. I felt at ease knowing they were being looked after by someone dependable. Even my most anxious dog seemed relaxed around her, which is rare and amazing. I would definitely have her watch my hairy babies again.”

“Emily does such an amazing job! She did drop in visits with our 11 week old puppy and he looked forward to seeing her every day! Emily is very professional and is great with communication. She is extremely kind and will truly cares for other peoples animals as she would her own. I can’t wait to continue using her services in the future!”

Maddie is literally the BEST! 🐾💕 She is so sweet and caring with our fur babies. She went above and beyond to make sure our doggies were happy and well taken care of. She even got dirty playing with them, which showed us how genuinely engaged and comfortable she is with our pups! 😂🐶 She sent us multiple photos and updates, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. Maddie has such a calm and nurturing personality, and our dogs absolutely love her. She’s also incredibly flexible and willing to work around our schedule, which we really appreciate. Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
