Once I enter your home, I will follow direct instructions as to the location of the animals foods and make sure to keep your boundaries. I will never enter any rooms unless requested by the owner and I will mostly be staying in the yard with your pet or the open areas such as living room or foyer to play and socialize with them.

Before I take care of your pet, I would appreciate it if you let me know of any special needs or leave a note on the counter that way I know how to properly care for them. Also, if the dog is aggressive towards stranger, let me know ahead of time so I can mentally prepare and take a safe approach to meet them.
A typical day
As soon as I approach the front door, I begin talking to the pets so they can recognize my voice. I will speak in a calm manner to combat anxiety and work with them on their own speed. Some dogs may never want to be touched by a stranger, but I’m also not above rolling around and wrestling on the floor with them if they love rough play. Animals are a passion of mine and I constantly talk to them while I’m there. That interaction and connection is key to a good relationship and making them comfortable around me.

Hi! I’m a very passionate freelancer with 2 dogs, and a cat. I’ve always been a huge animal lover and can’t keep my hands off them! I have clicker trained both my dogs to do commands and loose leash walking. I’m always up for a challenge, so I don’t mind an occasionally grumbly fur-baby house call. Just no super aggressive animals, please for everyone’s safety. I have been a sitter doing primarily home drop-in visits for 4 years now in El Paso, Georgia, Killeen, and Kentucky. Pets with special needs and puppy/elderly animals are more than welcome! As a previous surgical technician I feel very comfortable with giving medical care. I have references/reviews listed of people I have previously done home drop-ins for. Rest assured that your babies will be loved on and treated in the best way possible! I can’t wait to meet them. Cameras are ok with me and I recommend them!

Rachelle was absolutely amazing with our 2 pups. It was their first experience with a drop in visitor so we weren’t sure how they would do especially our more shy pup. Rachelle was so great with them and they adjusted to her very quickly. Rachelle was great at communicating and sending a detailed note about her visit and how they were doing along with some candid photos. We felt comfortable with her caring for our pups and being in our home and would book with her again!
Our dog, Athena,loves Rachelle! Athena looked so happy in all the photo updates. 🐕
