Kathy was an amazing help when we had to leave town for a family emergency. Our dog just loved spending time with her! It was nice to know he was well cared for so we could focus on family while we were away.

About: My family of thirteen always had cats and dogs in the house. I learned early to pick up the slack and make sure their needs were met. As an adult, I've volunteered with animal shelters and I am always looking for a reason to play with a new animal. I am unafraid, a little barking or growling won't sway me; I can happily administer unrequited love until they warm up. But it never takes long. Your pet was probably meant to meet me 😇 Your pet will take absolute priority while in my care. I do work but with advance bookings, I may be able to work around whatever schedule you’d prefer I kept with your pets. At your request, I can definitely go on regular jogs or outings with them too, but I will always plan to leave a job having made a new friend in your pet. I promise to prioritize, care for, and love them because that's what animals deserve. Mahalo nui loa Cleanliness is extremely important to me, especially with our new normal. Any measures I can take to ensure your comfort can absolutely be adhered to. Also, I am vaccinated.

About: Animals have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve cared for dogs, cats, small animals, and hoofed animals, and my experience extends far beyond pet ownership. I hold bachelor’s degrees in biology, psychology, and anthropology. My studies in animal behavior, physiology, and research help me better understand animal body language, behavior, and individual needs. Over the years, I’ve worked with a wide variety of species, including exotic hoofstock and birds in a zoological setting, as well as pigs, goats, and birds through wildlife rescue and animal care work. I also volunteered in an animal shelter environment for approximately three years, where I handled and photographed thousands of dogs to help them find loving homes. Through that experience, I became comfortable working with dogs of all sizes, ages, temperaments, and energy levels. I have experience administering medications and genuinely enjoy caring for senior pets who may need a little extra patience and attention. I’m also passionate about exercise and an active lifestyle and am happy to provide outdoor walks and enrichment for energetic pets. In addition to my animal background, I hold a master’s degree in counseling, which has strengthened my communication skills, patience, and ability to remain calm and attentive in a variety of situations. Whether your pet is outgoing, shy, energetic, or senior, my goal is to provide reliable, compassionate care tailored to their individual personality and routine so both you and your pet feel comfortable and at ease. I’m a small business owner and public school teacher, which gives me a structured yet flexible schedule that works well for pet care. I generally have the most availability on weekends, school holidays, and breaks—especially during the summer months—when I can provide extended, consistent care and house sitting. During the school year, I’m typically available in the mornings and evenings on weekdays, with greater flexibility on weekends. I’m always happy to discuss specific dates and needs to see what works best for your pet’s routine. I value consistency, communication, and reliability so that pets feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for, and owners can enjoy peace of mind while they’re away. I provide pet care in my clients’ homes, where I focus on maintaining each pet’s normal routine in the environment where they feel most comfortable. I follow all care instructions closely and make sure feeding, walks, medication, and daily routines are completed on time and as directed. I treat every home with a high level of respect and care, keeping spaces clean, organized, and exactly as I found them. I’m mindful of both the pet’s needs and the owner’s home, and I prioritize reliability, safety, and consistency in every visit or stay. I also believe clear communication is essential, so I provide updates as needed to give owners peace of mind while they’re away.

About: An animal lover since I was a little girl, I’ve happily cared for many pets and animals in my life, including horses, dogs, cats, birds, fish, guinea pigs, even a snake! I adore all animals and think we can learn a lot from them, but I have a soft spot for our furry four legged friends. Over the years I’ve cared for many neighbors’, friend’s and family pets while they’ve been away, whether house sitting or inviting their pets into my cozy home for a little staycation. I don’t have any pets currently and am dearly missing the company, so I’d love to care for yours! I’m a very cuddly, attentive, reliable and playful pet owner who will shower your pet with love and care, and send many photos and updates. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions, I’d be happy to chat and offer my time and care if you feel we may be a good match! I typically work full time Monday through Friday, with a few days working from home in between. Weekends are usually wide open, and I’d love to fill them with a furry friend! Fridays - Mondays are most flexible for me, but I’d love to play around with my schedule to suit your needs! I live in a residential, pet-friendly neighborhood that’s perfect for walks or runs. I have a yard but no fence, so will be extra careful when going outside. Lots of comfy rugs, pillows, and furniture inside for lounging :) happy to crate your dog if desired, or house sit if preferred. Very flexible!

About: I've had a deep love for animals for as long as I can remember. Since I was 13, I’ve been watching pets for family and friends simply because it brought me joy. By 16, once I could drive, I started offering my services to others. I have experience caring for a wide range of animals, including senior dogs, puppies, birds, cats, kittens, and even farm animals! I'm always respectful of your home and happy to care for your garden or plants while you're away. If your pet stays with me, please note that I have a small, senior female dog named Peanut. I also live with my mother, brother, and boyfriend, who all share my love for animals and will likely want to shower your pet with affection too! You can expect plenty of updates and photos (I want those pictures as much as you do!) I also have some experience in dog training, having taken several courses, and can assist with behavioral training if needed. While I can't guarantee a drastic change, I love practicing these techniques. Working from home gives me a flexible schedule, so I’m excited to get to know your adorable animals and provide them with the best care possible! I work from home on various online projects, which gives me the flexibility to provide attentive care for your pets. Watching your dogs brings me joy and keeps me balanced! When I care for pets in your home, I prioritize maintaining their regular routines to ensure they feel secure and comfortable. I provide plenty of attention, playtime, and exercise, always following your specific instructions. I do not have a fenced in yard, but am happy to stay outside with your pup if needed! I’m diligent about home security, making sure doors and gates are securely closed. I also keep a close eye on your pets’ behavior and health, addressing any concerns promptly. Trust is essential, so I maintain open communication with you, providing regular updates and photos. This transparency helps build a strong bond of trust and ensures you have peace of mind while you’re away.

About: I have had many special bonds with many kinds of animals & I’ve always given them the love & kindness ALL animals deserve. I love training puppies to become the best doggie they can be! When my Jude was a puppy, I used “tricks-for-treats” method using hand signals & now that Jude lost her hearing she knows her commands only by my hand signals! I have taken care of a handful of elderly dogs and cats whom I know felt very safe and loved my company so much. Whenever I’m with any animal I always feel like I’m making an impact in their life and I shine my light on their beautiful hearts every time. They are my world 🌎 ❤️❤️❤️ Currently, I am open available anytime, day or night, rain or shine! Even last minute I will be available. My doggie approved house is filled with dog beds of all sizes, and dog crates if that’s what they like, & hardwood floor for cooling off. My yard is fenced in and surrounded by a forest of trees. Plenty of play toys and green grass for sunbaths! This is my passion…… I eat, sleep, & take care for animals. I’m very grateful for any furry friend to come into my life. Even if it’s just for a day ❤️ When I’m not busy with pets, I am the voice for the voiceless...I am a very active animal rights activist, I am a member of the Dominion action movement, I am very very passionate about all animals. My dream is to have my own animal sanctuary where every animal will love their life free just as our pets do. I will also find homes for homeless/abused/abandoned animals. My house is dog approved. I have a lot of toys and doggy beds & In my breezeway I have a dog ramp for elderly or injured dogs to use to get into my house.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
