Tyler is a great sitter! I was fortunate that he was available on very short notice. He came to meet my 3 dogs and was up to the level of care I expected. He is very good with communicating and unafraid to ask questions. I believe he took great care of the dogs because they were fine when I came home and there wasn't anything unusual in their behavior.

Rene was a great help with watching my Lyndii for me. While she stayed and watched her she walked her and played with her. She sent me pictures and let me know daily how she was doing. I will be using Rene again definitely. I would highly recommend her to anyone needing a dog sitter.

About: I’m a certified veterinary assistant so rest assured, your babies will be in good hands 💖 Pets have been a central part of my life since childhood, so naturally I’ve grown up researching breeds of dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, as well and everything each needs to thrive. I currently live with 4 large dogs, a handful of cats, a snake, and fish! I have taken care of some farm animals (horses, goats, chickens, ducks), plus aquatic turtles. I taught my own dogs basic manners throughout my teen years, so when it comes to training I am always willing to help if necessary! While I can’t board your pets at my home, I am more than happy to come and either check in on your pet/s throughout the day or stay with them if needed! Send me a PM and we can work out what schedule might be best for you! I always believe it’s important to attempt to keep a pets routine intact even if an owner is away to reduce as much stress as possible. I have much experience giving medications to cats and dogs if they need some extra attention in that way, including oral medications, injectable medications and subcutaneous fluids. Please let me know if you have any additional questions!

About: I have experience caring for dogs, fish, chickens, ducks, geese, and other small animals, as well as maintaining gardens, plants, and outdoor spaces. My background as a Life Planning Coordinator has strengthened my attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to follow instructions carefully. I am especially patient with senior pets who may need extra attention, slower walks, medication reminders, or a consistent routine. I am also comfortable caring for shy, anxious, or newly adopted pets who benefit from a calm presence and gentle reassurance. As an avid gardener and nature lover, I can care for houseplants, vegetable gardens, herbs, and outdoor watering schedules. Homeowners appreciate that I treat their homes with respect, keeping them clean, secure, and well-maintained. I provide regular updates, photos, and prompt communication so pet parents can enjoy their time away with peace of mind. My goal is simple: to care for your pets and home as if they were my own, leaving everything happy, healthy, and well cared for when you return. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I work independently and have a flexible schedule, which allows me to provide consistent attention, companionship, feeding, walks, playtime, and home care throughout the day. I typically begin my mornings with outdoor activities, gardening, or walking, making it easy to incorporate pet walks, feeding schedules, and exercise routines. Throughout the day, I am attentive to each pet's individual needs, whether that means companionship for a social pet, quiet reassurance for a senior pet, or maintaining established routines to reduce stress while their family is away. Because I value structure and communication, I carefully follow feeding schedules, medication instructions, exercise requirements, and household preferences. I also provide regular updates and photos so pet parents can relax knowing their pets and home are receiving attentive care. Whether caring for pets during a house sit, drop-in visit, or walk, my goal is to create a calm, safe, and loving environment that keeps pets comfortable and happy while maintaining the routines they know and trust. When caring for pets in a client's home, my priority is maintaining the routines, environment, and level of care they are accustomed to. I understand that pets feel most comfortable when their daily schedule remains consistent, so I carefully follow feeding instructions, exercise routines, medication schedules, and household guidelines. I take time to get to know each pet's personality, preferences, and comfort level. Whether they enjoy long walks, playtime, quiet companionship, or simply sticking to a familiar routine, I adapt my care to meet their individual needs. Safety is extremely important to me. I ensure doors, gates, and windows are secure, monitor pets during outdoor activities, and remain attentive to any changes in behavior, appetite, or well-being. If concerns arise, I communicate promptly with the pet owner and follow any emergency instructions provided. I also respect and care for my clients' homes as if they were my own. I keep living areas tidy, bring in mail or packages if requested, water plants, and maintain a clean, peaceful environment. Throughout the stay, I provide regular updates and photos so pet parents can travel with confidence, knowing their pets and home are in caring, reliable hands.

Angie did a great job taking care of my dog. Birdie is very active and very social. Angie took her to parks, they went on walks and every afternoon she took her to the park to play with her other dog friends. She sent me pictures every day. She stayed at my house for a week and when I arrived home my house was exactly as I left it. I would highly recommend Angie for all you dog needs

About: I own 2 cats and a dog in this moment, but I’ve had more of both in the past. I love caring for animals! When a family member or friend needs a pet sitter, I’m the first person they ask to do the job. I love training my cats and my grandmothers dogs! I am currently free all day as I just graduated and I don’t have a job *yet*. Like I said I’m free all day and nothing is a bother or hassle! I have two cats and a dog, but they aren’t too welcoming to pets that stay long. My dog loves making friends but she quickly gets tired if the other dog is too energetic for too long. My two cats don’t care for other dogs so they stay away and hidden for the most part. Taking care of your fur baby will be most convenient in your home or if I have them for a short time in mine.

About: I’ve been pet sitting dogs and cats for the past 10 years and have experience caring for pets with different personalities, routines, and needs. Having dogs and cats of my own has given me a strong understanding of how important it is for pets to feel comfortable, safe, and cared for while their owners are away. I’m comfortable with daily walks, feeding schedules, playtime, giving lots of attention, and making sure pets keep their usual routine so they feel at home. I am currently working part time and will be sure to provide my availability, so that together we can be sure your pet is given the best possible care. I will ensure your pet is well cared for while you're away, providing them with plenty of attention and care. They are family afterall.

About: I have experience with animals my whole life and even more after doing rover for 2 years now. I treat all animals as if they are my own! I work full time away from home but my bf Riley works from home. I would be the primary caretaker Wednesdays- Saturdays but other days it would be my bf watching the dogs at home until I get home. We are an active family and would love to take your fur babies on adventures with us if that's something you'd like! NOTE: Any daycare request that is over 9 hours will be an extra $5 Pick ups or drop offs after 9PM will be an extra $5 *House sitting price will vary depending on the situation/distance *We only watch pups together that we know will get along and usually no more than a couple at a time. We have a fully fenced yard and a dog door so you're pup could have access to outside all day. We have space for crates if you need your dog to sleep in a crate at night, otherwise they are free to sleep wherever they are comfortable! My cat is an indoor/outdoor cat so she has free roam therefore all dogs must be respectful of cats. She does like to play but not roughly chased. I will take lots of photos of your pup during their stay as well!

About: My childhood was surrounded by dogs. When I was 12, I had to completely take care of 4 pit bulls, a Dotson, a mixed breed medium sized dog, and 3 cats. I have watched a few friends and family's pets over the years. Before I moved here, I actually helped my cousin take care of his senior husky with low energy that needed shots for a medical condition and a 2 year old German shepherd with all the energy in the world. My foster mom also bred pugs for a living, and have had to help the momma pug give birth while my foster parents were gone. I also have a 4 year old female Black Mouth Cur named Ava, that I have had since 6 months old, and a 2 year old male pitbull terrier rescue named Bosco, that I have had for a year and counting. He is full of fear and needs a lot of patience to work through it, but after 5 months of touch and go work, he now knows what play is and has his own toys! He also is scared to eat or seems to not know what his feeding bowl is, but after different ways to show that feeding time is okay, he is slowly gaining the weight he should be at! Treats were his sweet spot for knowing it is a safe place, and my sweet Ava sped the process for getting him comfortable in his new home and now commandeers my clothing to sleep with in his bed. Due to Bosco being a rescue and has become very protective is why I can't offer in home sitting in my home but am open to dog sitting at client's homes. I am currently a new stay at home mom. I take care of my two boys and my two fur babies. I am more than ready to help others with their fur babies. Due to behavior of one of my dogs, I would not be able to comfortably care for your fur babies in my own home, but I will do the utmost care for your fur babies in your home! Give me all the rules you need followed; Outside during certain times, feeding strategies, don't sit in a certain spot or area in the home. Nothing is too much to handle! I have even taken care of dogs with potty issues and needed baths for their health care and hygiene of your home.

About: I work from home, so dogs in my care are never left alone and always have company, attention, and love throughout the day. They get multiple walks, dog park time, a calm cozy environment, toys, music, and their own comfortable space to relax. They’re also welcome on the furniture and can sleep in bed if that’s what they’re used to. I truly see dogs as family members, not pets. I treat them the way I would treat my own child — with patience, affection, protection, and lots of care. I love having them near me while I work, and I make sure they feel safe, included, and deeply loved every moment they’re here. Pet care fits naturally into my routine because I work from home, so I’m around and available throughout the day. That means your pet gets more attention, regular potty breaks, and consistent companionship—not just a quick visit. On a typical day, I can plan morning, midday, and evening walks/potty breaks, plus playtime and feeding around my work schedule. I keep things structured but flexible, so I can match your pet’s routine (especially helpful for puppies, seniors, or pets that need extra check-ins). Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or yours, my priority is always the same: safety, routine, and a calm environment. I’m detail-oriented, I follow your instructions closely, and I keep you updated so you feel confident the whole time. In your home (drop-ins / house sitting): I stick to your pet’s normal schedule for feeding, potty breaks, walks, and playtime. I do safety checks (doors/gates secured, leashes/harnesses fitted correctly, no access to unsafe items). I keep the space tidy and stress low—especially for pets who do best in their familiar environment. I send photo/video updates and notes after visits. In my home (boarding / daycare): Calm, supervised environment with plenty of attention since I work from home. Frequent potty breaks, exercise, and structured downtime. I keep pets separated when needed (feeding time, high energy, or if a dog prefers their own space). Only pet-safe areas are accessible—no unsafe foods, small objects, or risky spaces. My safety rules, always: I don’t take dogs off-leash unless it’s a securely fenced area and you’ve approved it. I use positive reinforcement (no harsh methods). I watch for signs of stress or illness and communicate quickly if anything seems off. My goal is for your pet to feel comfortable and for you to feel totally at ease.

FAQs for House Sitting - Wadsworth

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of July 2026, there are 555 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Wadsworth. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Wadsworth walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Wadsworth maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Wadsworth choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Wadsworth. On Rover:

  • 98% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
