“This was my first time using Rover, I had a last minute trip I had to take. Brittany responded right away to be with my dog. She did a great job! She sent me pictures of my puppy and snuggled him, which he loves! I would recommend Brittany to watch and care for anyone’s pets!”

“Takes very good care of my puppy and follows instructions! I feel so much better knowing he is well taken care of when I work longer days. He is so happy to have a new friend! I will continue using Colleen for all of my pet sitting needs 😊”

“Taylor was amazing! So accommodating with our schedule, and she sent lovely detailed updates and pictures. She even added litter to our cat’s litter box and kept an eye on packages for us. Thank you Taylor!”

“Laurinda did an amazing job, communicating with Rover to figure out scheduling and ensure I got the first-time discount despite some complications. She was flexible with scheduling and consistently sent videos and picture. Took care of litter even tho she wasn’t asked.”

About: While I am not a professional pet sitter, I grew up around family dogs and am very comfortable caring for them. I’m attentive, patient, and reliable, and I understand the importance of making pets feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while their owners are away. Pet care fits well into my routine as I am a graduate student currently on summer break. During this time, I have a flexible schedule and am typically available Monday through Saturday from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM. I follow the owner’s instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any special care needs. I prioritize keeping the pet’s routine consistent, maintaining a calm and safe environment, and ensuring their space is respected and left as I found it.
“We've booked Tiffany's services a few times, and my dogs absolutely love her. She went above and beyond the call of duty, tending to our critters while we were away. I get quite anxious about leaving them in the care of someone else, but she really eased that when I saw she spent the time to give them love and attention, not just the bathroom break/meal necessities. I can't recommend her enough. Thanks again, Tiffany!”

“Ray took such good care of our old dog! Ray's communication (initial contact, photos, daily updates) throughout the process was timely and thorough and we knew that our dog was in good hands the entire time. We will definitely look for Ray first next time we need this service!”

About: I have always had a special place in my heart for animals. It is our responsibility as humans to take the best care of them. Every dog is special and deserves to be attended to appropriately. I am a Waco local and student at MCC studying to become a teacher. I’m currently working part time most weekdays until 6 pm. I can take appointments starting at 6:30 which is perfect during this Texas heat. I wouldn’t mind doing later walks when the weather is cooler. I will always make sure your pet is healthy and happy! My goal is to take extraordinary care of your pet and make sure it has everything it needs
“I’ve booked Allison to do drop-in visits for our cat twice now. She’s very reliable and communicative. We’ve been happy with her care of our cat and would book with her again.”

“Erica is the best sitter for our furbabies. She cares about them like her own. I love all the updates and pictures also very good at communicating about what my babies are doing! She is amazing.”

“Adrienne has been so helpful! I needed to leave for overseas, and she was willing to take drop-in visits and care for my precious kitty for about 4 weeks. She’s super cooperative, and has great communication! My cat is not the most friendly to strangers, but I deeply appreciated her patience for him! Thank you Adrienne!”

About: I have a year of hands-on experience caring for dogs as a volunteer at the humane society. I am Fear Free certified and have received extensive training in handling and working with dogs to ensure their well-being and comfort. I prioritize their well-being by dedicating time each day to ensure they are happy, entertained, and have all their necessities met. My flexible evening schedule allows me to accommodate their needs, even with last-minute changes. As a passionate pet lover, I am dedicated to providing exceptional care and attention to your beloved pets. Trust me to treat them as if they were my own, ensuring their happiness, health, and well-being every step of the way.

About: I’ve been around animals ever since I was young. Back home it was a daily occurrence to wake up early and feed all the animals. From cows to chickens and cats to dogs, I have been around all of them. I throughly enjoy being around animals and currently missing my Australian Shepard back home. I’m currently attending college right now, so I have massive blocks in my schedule and even times for overnight care. Most of my homework does not require me to be on campus so it is easy to house sit when necessary. I can even check on animals during breaks between classes. At my current house, I have a massive backyard and located within a quarter mile of Thomas Park. The backyard has lots of shade and will always have plenty of water. When my dog comes up, he loves the backyard and walking around the park.
“Briana was great! I appreciate her willingness to get to know my reactive dog as he comes off aggressive at first with strangers but is a sweet heart when he warms up to them. I was confident I was leaving him in great hands while I had to go out of town.”

“Again, another GREAT job by Britteny! Britteny has been a great sitter for our doodles. They love her! She is dependable, responsible.... and we are very grateful to her for watching our dogs and we don't worry about them when she is taking care of them.”

We found Cheryl because our wedding was in the Crawford/Waco area!!! She was such an amazing help over lunch and during the evenings over our wedding weekend. Would highly recommend her to anyone. She was super communicative, nice, and helpful! Our dog Murphy absolutely loved her. Added bonus she has a younger son who also loves dogs and really wears the dogs out playing with them! We loved it!! Would highly recommend! She’s was on time and did anything we asked for your dig! Thanks again Sheryl!

Chase made sure to keep me up-to-date on my pets while I was out of town. I don’t have any family in town and my neighbors are elderly, so it’s very convenient and reassuring to know that Chase will make sure that my cats are OK while I am on vacation. It’s peace of mind.

Delaney is amazing. Even with somewhat short notice she came through for me and provided an amazing experience. Rosa loved her and I would not hesitate to ask Delaney to come back. Wonderful girl, sweet and caring, everything a person could ask for. Highly recommended.

Sharleen is amazing. We had some unexpected health issues arise during the time she was supposed to drop in. Due to my daughter being home I’ll, we no longer needed her to drop in. Sharleen was understanding and quick to respond to messages. I appreciate Sharleen’s patience and willingness to adapt to last minute changes. And as always she’s very attentive and our fur babies trust her.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
