“I couldn’t have asked for a better pet sitter. She went above and beyond in every way and treated our dogs like they were her own. She kept us updated, made sure they were well cared for, and gave us complete peace of mind while i was away. What really stood out was is she even walked our dogs indoors when the weather wasn’t ideal to make sure they still got exercise and stimulation. It’s clear that she genuinely cares about the animals she looks after. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and reliable sitter. Five stars all the way”

“Kayla was incredibly friendly and considerate when watching my cat for a few days. She went above and beyond what I even asked for her to do and I couldn't be happier with her service!”

About: Hey there, I’m Brooke! 🐾 I’m totally convinced dogs are little love-machines sent to make our lives better. They deserve the absolute best, and I’m here to help make sure they get it! Got questions about your fur-kid? Need advice? Want to gush about how cute they are? Message me anytime—I’d love to chat! 🐶💕 Pet care will be a daily activity to keep our pets healthy and happy. Eating, sleeping, potty breaks and love keep your pet very health. This is always needed routinely Pets will be watched at all times. Safety first! I take safety seriously not just for others dos but my own. Safety is no joke!

“We couldn’t have asked for a better dog sitter! Carmen is incredibly accommodating, even helping us out last minute without any hesitation. My schedule can be a bit unpredictable, but she is super flexible and understanding, which made everything so much less stressful. She is fantastic with sending pictures and updates- it gives us so much peace of mind knowing our dogs are happy, safe, and well cared for! Highly recommend to anyone looking for someone reliable, communicative, and genuinely great with animals!”

“My babies loves her! She’s very attentive and informed me as soon as she found something out of the norm, help me the best she could and communicate with me about everything so when things out of the norm, I can take action immediately. I truly appreciate it. She even trained my koda bear to sit and lay down. I would recommend!!!”

“Grace did a great job looking after both my dogs while I was out of town and provided updates and informed me of anything she thought might be odd, so I knew what was going on. She also made sure that the dogs got their supplements as needed.”

“Carol did an amazing job taking care of our three dogs at the same time. Each dog with there own requirements. She kept everything in order and managed all the requirements correctly. Will definitely rebook”

About: I have been around animals and have taken care of them for as long as I can remember. I am comfortable around all dogs and I am willing to adapt and learn how to best care for your fur baby. When I come to take care of, play with, or walk your fur baby I will dedicate my time to loving them. When staying with me I would love to be able to take them to the dog park where they can also interact with other animals while you're away! I like to build trust, communicate and personalize your fur babies stay so you both feel at ease. I am currently home full time and I am available for drop ins when needed! I am also flexible and can accept last minute bookings. I will take your fur baby on a walk to use the restroom since I don’t have a gated yard but if that’s a worry, I also have access to a few gated dog parks for your fur baby to run around and use the restroom.
About: Welcome! 😊 Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my profile. I know this is a lot to read, but I want to be as transparent as possible so you know exactly what to expect when trusting me with your beloved pets. My goal is to provide a safe, loving, and stress free experience for both you and your fur baby. Before booking, I do have one important policy to help keep all pets safe and healthy. For the well being of my own pets, your pets, and every animal in my care, I cannot accept bookings for pets with contagious illnesses or active parasite infestations. This includes conditions such as canine parvovirus (parvo), kennel cough, canine influenza, ringworm, mange, fleas, ticks, and other contagious fungal or infectious diseases. If your pet is currently sick with a contagious condition, I kindly ask that you wait until they've fully recovered before requesting a booking. Thank you so much for understanding and helping me maintain a safe environment for every pet I care for. ❤️ Now, a little about me! I have extensive experience caring for dogs, and my commitment to their well-being comes from a genuine love for pets of every breed, size, age, and personality. I believe every animal deserves to feel safe, happy, and loved. Whether they're energetic, shy, senior, or have special needs, I'll care for them with the same patience, compassion, and attention I give my own pets. I've had dogs my entire life and have experience caring for pets of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments. I currently have three dogs of my own Chanel, Dobby, and Astrid and I also regularly help care for my parents' nine rescue dogs, whose sizes range from Chihuahuas to Great Danes. This has given me hands on experience with a wide variety of breeds, personalities, and care needs. One thing that sets me apart is that I am certified in American Red Cross Cat & Dog First Aid, giving me the knowledge to recognize emergency situations, provide immediate first aid when appropriate, and respond calmly while seeking veterinary care. While I hope to never need these skills, I believe being prepared is one of the best ways to keep pets safe. I have cared for pets that are blind, deaf, diabetic, have arthritis, experience seizures, are recovering from injuries or have limited mobility. I understand the extra patience, attention, and consistency these pets require, and I'm committed to making sure they feel comfortable, secure, and loved while you're away. I also have experience administering medications, following specialized care routines, monitoring pets for changes in behavior or health, and communicating those changes promptly with pet owners. I know how important it is to maintain your pet's normal routine, and I'll always follow your instructions carefully. My love for animals goes beyond simply watching them. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, interactive playtime, learning new tricks, cuddling on the couch, or simply having someone nearby, I'll provide personalized care tailored to their unique personality and needs. My goal is to make your pet feel like they're spending time with a trusted friend while giving you complete peace of mind through regular updates and photos. When your pet is with me, they're treated like family.💕🐾 Pet care is a part of my everyday life, it isn't something I have to squeeze into my schedule. Caring for animals is something I truly enjoy, and I make time for it every single day. My own dogs are my family, and I make sure they're always up to date on their vaccinations, receive high quality food (they honestly eat better than I do!), get plenty of daily exercise, mental enrichment, and lots of love and attention. I enjoy taking my dogs on walks, exploring new places, and practicing fun tricks to keep them mentally and physically engaged. I believe every pet deserves individualized care, so I'll always follow your pet's normal routine as closely as possible to help them feel comfortable while you're away. Whether your pet needs energetic playtime, leisurely walks, medication, frequent potty breaks, or simply a companion to keep them company, I'm committed to providing the same level of care, patience, and attention that I give my own pets. When caring for pets in a client's home, my goal is to make their time away from you feel as comfortable and stress free as possible. I understand that pets feel safest in familiar surroundings, so I focus on maintaining their normal routine and creating a calm, positive experience. I will treat your home with the same respect and care that I would want for my own. I will follow your instructions carefully, keep your pet’s environment clean and organized, and make sure they have everything they need during my visits. I pay close attention to details such as secure doors and gates, safe walking conditions, and any areas or items that may need to be avoided. During visits, I focus on providing a safe and comfortable environment through companionship, supervision, enrichment, and consistency. I also keep open communication with regular updates and photos so you can feel connected and confident while you are away.

“Miss Ariana has been great with both of my pups. One recently had flare ups for ivdd and had needed more gentle care while my other pup is still extremely active and she was able to accommodate to both their needs. She’s great at following instructions and communicating what is needed for a Successful visit.”

Pam was amazing with my dogs. She even managed to keep my two problem, children separated, and without incident while I was gone. She kept me updated with every visit with a note from my pets, as well as lots of pictures of them, which helped me to miss them a little less.

Mikhalea absolutely went above and beyond to make sure my cat Doug well not just taken care of, but thriving. It can be nerve wracking having such a long trip away when you don’t have family or close friends nearby, but knowing that Doug was so well taken care of made it so much easier!!

Maya D. Is by far the best dog caretaker I have ever worked with. She truly loves helping animals and cares for mine so well. She handles medication and temperaments like a boss. When I had two male dogs that needed to be separated at all times and still be taken out and cared for she did not hesitate to help and not once was there contact or concerns. These are the best words that I have and they are still not enough! Thank you so much Maya.

Hayden, I want to compliment your service with Cilantro and Jasper; it was awesome! They enjoyed the loving attention and the meals prepared. Alan appreciated the help as well! I got to know your passion for animal care which mirrors ours. We will be looking for you when needed and spreading the word about you and Rover! We talked about an occasional service you may be able to provide - nail clipping. Let me know if that is possible.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
