Two Animal Lovers and Their Zoo
My family has rescued animals my entire life. When I was born, they had five cats; by the time I left for college, there were 22 cats, 3 ferrets, 3 dogs, and 2 geckos. Since 2017, I have worked as a foster mom for whichever county I lived in. I have fostered over 150 cats and kittens. When I met my now husband, I had 5 cats, 2 dogs, and a gecko. He has helped us expand our family and helped me foster several dozen critters. I have experience with cats and dogs of all ages, temperaments, medical histories, and breeds. I am experienced in administering medicine, and I can do injections to even the wriggliest of critters. I have helped animals through cancer, diabetes, amputation, hyperthyroidism, anxiety, pillow foot, ear infections, eye infections, UTIs, blockages, and so many other medical issues. Our little zoo continues to fluctuate as our foster home takes on new rescues, and we are so pleased to be able to help many of the strays found around Killeen. I have successfully trained many of our foster dogs, and I hope to become a licensed dog trainer this year. We have a huge fenced-in yard, a large couch loved by even the finickiest of cats, and plenty of space for everyone to be comfortable. We are so excited to help your furbaby feel at home here whenever you need us!

Cassandra is excellent. We have used her several times and will certainly have her watch our pets during the next trip. Our one dog chews hot spots in his fur if he doesn’t like the sitter. No hot spots with Cassandra! Highly recommended!
I can't express how amazing this woman is. She watched my senior dog for about 11 days. He is 15, going blind, and is very vocal, to me he can be alot. She handled him like a pro. While I was traveling I experienced car trouble and she had no problem making last minute accommodation to watch him two additional days. Eli came home so happy. This was my first trip without him, I felt at ease knowing he was well taken care of all while she was caring of other pups and kittens. I 100% recommend. She kept me updated and we'll informed.
I will definitely be using Cassandra again. I will be referring her to people I know. If you’re looking for a safe place for your pet to go while you’re out of town. I highly recommend going with Cassandra.
Cassandra did an absolutely fantastic job caring for my cats, Caramel and Snowy, while I was on vacation. I could tell my cats were so happy and well cared for almost like they didn’t want to leave! I felt completely at ease knowing they were in great hands, and I will absolutely use Cassandra again for any future trips!

Schedule
I work from home, and my husband is in the army, so he is home by 5:30/6 pretty consistently. We are available for boarding, drop-in visits, walks, house sitting, or anything else you need, pretty much every day. We both have base access, so we can offer our services to anyone living on base. We are happy to offer pick-up and drop-off for $5 per mile. Let us know your address, and we can provide you with a price! Our drop-off and pick-up hours are between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m.; we may offer exceptions on a case-by-case basis for emergencies only. If your travel plans require drop-off or pick-up outside these hours, please book the night before or the morning after during our business hours.

Safety, trust & environment
We have a large fenced-in yard with plenty of space for all the zoomies. We have many friendly critters living with us, but we are more than happy to keep your furbaby separated from ours if they're happier on their own. We have multiple crates in different sizes available if you don't want to bring your own. We have buckets of toys everywhere, and a huge couch for naps. We either leave DogTV or music on all day to help our pets relax. We are incredibly flexible and more than happy to cater to your pet's every need. Just let us know about any special needs, and we will do our best to make it happen! We reserve the right to charge a $25 same-day booking fee for reservations without a prior meet-and-greet, which will be added to your total bill on Rover. In the case of extreme damage to our home, we reserve the right to charge you for damages caused by your pet including but not limited to destruction of doors and walls, consumption of dog beds, furniture, or our other belongings, and destruction of our fence. Due to gaps in Rover's coverage, we cannot allow any children under 16 on our property for meet-and-greets, drop-offs, or pick-ups.
Pets
A typical day
We are very fortunate to have a large fenced-in backyard to play in whenever we want. We have plenty of toys for fetch and tug of war, and on very hot days, we have a doggy sprinkler for outdoor playtime. We are very excited to be setting up a dog pond this summer for even more water fun!
