About: I have had animals my entire life and currently have 5 dogs, 5 cats and a horse. My full time job is on a farm taking care of horses so I have the ability to administer fist aid and medications and am comfortable with all sizes and shapes of animals. Also have experience with goats and pigs. I currently work part time and travel some for work so my schedule is flexible and easy to work around. I have the ability to work evenings and weekends when needed. I will make sure to follow all the instructions given to me to properly care for your pet. I have extreme attention to detail and am able to recognize if there might be a problem with an animal because my job has been to have an awareness about how an animal is acting for the past 10 years. I also have extensive experience with my own pets and different issues they have had through my life.
“My dog has high anxiety and scared of people when she first meets her. Monica took her time to get to know my dog and more importantly was patient enough to let my dog get to know and trust her. Im so glad that I have met Monica and will be using her for the future!”

“She was wonderful and super kind. Megan went above and beyond to take care of my 2 fur babies last minute. She even took them on walks when she didn't have too! I will definitely be using her again for drop in visits.”

“Laken was superb in taking care of Bruiser and Freya for 2 drop in visits a day over the weekend. Quality time was spend each visit ensuring the needs of both pups were well carried for. Photos and texts were shared during the visits. It was obvious they both were well cared for when I returned home. I will definitely call Laken for all future pet care needed. I highly recommend Laken for all Pet sitter needs.”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs my whole life, mostly my own and some family friends’ when they go on vacation. I’ve mostly dealt with smaller dogs but I have no problem with larger dogs. I currently own two dogs and one is a senior dog so he requires a little more attention. I can do basic care such as feeding and going for walks but I can also bathe if necessary. I currently work part-time and am in school for my bachelor’s degree. I’m taking a few summer courses but they are online so they don’t require too much of my time. My work schedule is relatively flexible as long as I have some time to work things out. I’ve done feeding and walks, whether it be for the restroom or just to get some exercise in. I live in a house with a large fenced backyard so my dogs are able to freely roam so they don’t like to go on walks much but we do take them out from time to time. I also play outside with them on a daily basis since they enjoy that. I usually bathe and groom my own dogs as well as some other dogs people have asked me to do.
“Reagan was the best! She was immediately a tremendous help and super flexible with my schedule when I needed short notice changes. Also the report cards by her everyday made my day at work! Thank you so much Reagan, Penelope hopes to see you again soon☺️”

I also know how to give dogs oral medications and such. I am willing to travel about 50 miles from my house to the location for services. Check out the calendar for my availability. Thank you for looking at my profile. If you have any questions, please contact me at anytime! Available anytime but would like to know ahead of time so I can accommodate with my schedule since I work from home running 3 businesses. I have 2 dogs and 2 cats that are freely roaming around my house. If necessary, I can come to your place if you’re more comfortable with that.
“Jaysa is amazing and our dogs loved her! We especially loved the detailed updates and the photos she would send at the time of visits. We highly recommend Jaysa and will definitely use again in the future!”

“This is the second time we have used Maricella. Good communication. Great care for our cats and fish. Can tell she really cares about them. Sends a lot of pictures. We’ll definitely use her again!”

“Olivia was fantabulous!! I was nervous about using a service to take care of my big old guy. I have always had family and friends available to take care of my fur babies until now. After meeting Olivia, I was able to rid my anxiety. She sent lots of pics. She loved on my fur baby at each of the visits she made while I was out of town. She sent updates and even gave him his meds. I will definitely be asking her to pet sit again.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Temple
First time experience and I am VERY happy!! She was great despite my dog being nutso. I definitely plan on rebooking in the near future if she’s down 😂 ALSO! I totally thought I paused my mail but I still got packages and despite her only being there to check on my dog she still brought them inside and I am SO grateful. Would highly recommend!

Austyn was absolutely wonderful. She sent pictures of my cats so I never had to worry about them. Very kind, very dependable, and even my shy, special needs kitty adores her. She gets 5/5 stars. I highly recommend her to anyone needing their fur babies cared for.
Barbie was so patient with my 2 very shy cats! She made sure they knew there was a person who would be there on time for meals and just be around the house for a little while every day. She sent me updates even when there wasn’t much to see but empty dinner plates. My cats were super relaxed when I got home. So they obviously didn’t have any major change in their routine while I was away. Barbie even swept up around the boxes!!! I would trust her to take care of my furry ‘kids’ any time. So pleased!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
