“Lilianais has been wonderful and my go to for pet sitting. I have a random schedule with work these days & she has always made herself available. Highly recommend her.”

“Olivia was fantabulous!! I was nervous about using a service to take care of my big old guy. I have always had family and friends available to take care of my fur babies until now. After meeting Olivia, I was able to rid my anxiety. She sent lots of pics. She loved on my fur baby at each of the visits she made while I was out of town. She sent updates and even gave him his meds. I will definitely be asking her to pet sit again.”

“Christina watched our cat for three weeks while we were gone and faithfully spent time with him. She even went above and beyond on a day when she didn’t need to be here when a tornado went through our town and we were concerned about our cat and our house.”

About: I have had animals my entire life and currently have 5 dogs, 5 cats and a horse. My full time job is on a farm taking care of horses so I have the ability to administer fist aid and medications and am comfortable with all sizes and shapes of animals. Also have experience with goats and pigs. I currently work part time and travel some for work so my schedule is flexible and easy to work around. I have the ability to work evenings and weekends when needed. I will make sure to follow all the instructions given to me to properly care for your pet. I have extreme attention to detail and am able to recognize if there might be a problem with an animal because my job has been to have an awareness about how an animal is acting for the past 10 years. I also have extensive experience with my own pets and different issues they have had through my life.
“Could not have been happier with Brianna’s check-in visit for my cat! She was on time, took care of all of her needs, played with her, sent me photos, and even did her litter and filled her food and water bowl. She was even willing to water my plants for me! Would absolutely book again, very professional!”

“Amanda was a great help taking care of my fur babies when my husband and I went on vacation. She would send pictures everyday and communicate regularly. Thanks for being flexible with your drop-in visits.”

“Rebecca cared for our three cats for about a week and a half, doing drop ins every other day. She was kind and communicative from start to finish, and went above and beyond to keep us and our kitties happy including lots of playtime, topping off food and water, and even watering a plant for us and bringing packages inside. Would book her again for future travel!”

“Suzanne is absolutely WONDERFUL!!!! I loved having her sit for my dogs! She provides amazing notes and takes such good pictures. It felt like I was right there with her. She is so good at communicating. I can tell how much she loves animals. I will 100% continue to use Suzanne!”

“Monica is AMAZING. She’s gone above and beyond. She protected our puppies the first day when an unexpected contractor showed up unannounced. She’s been a great help and support to our family. You cannot go wrong with her.”

About: I've been around all kinds of dogs since I was a baby, and have been helping take care of dogs since I was 8 years old. I work part-time, and am available any time after 3pm. On the days I'm not working, I will be available for the full day. my schedule changes every week, but usually only work 3 or 4 days a week. I will not care for pets in my own home, as my dog does not do well with unfamiliar animals. I am, however, happy to pet-sit as long as I am given clear instructions on how to care for your pets.
“I highly recommend Krysta! She calmed a 5 yo 115 lb goldendoodle who had never been left in our home alone…even thought of turning on the television for her. Krysta followed all instructions, watered plants, rolled out trash cans & sent a lot of pics. We would definitely book with her again.”

About: Raised an australian shepard pup and kept her occupied and also have dog sat, walked and had sleep overs with from huskies to shelter pups. Never met a dog I didn't like. I have a very open schedule for frequent walk and stop ins. Setting pups up for the night and making sure they are tired from every walk. I always ask what their typical routine is to mimic it in the dogs safe space and am focused on replicating it as well as I can.

“I needed a last minute care for my Kendi and she was quick to respond. Communication is excellent and Kendi seemed relaxed and didn't have any stomach issues under Rebecca's care which rarely happens if I'm not watching her. Will definitely use Rebecca again!”

About: I am a part time working part time SAHM! I have a Blue heeler (11) and a Pomeranian (6 mo) and 2 cats! I would love to help you out and take one thing off your plate while you are away/busy! I love dogs of all ages and sizes!! "Everyone thinks they have the best dog, and none of them are wrong!"-anonymous I work on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s but I have availability most Monday’s, Wednesday’s, and Friday’s… & most weekends to do drop in visits! I can do up to 3 visits in a day! I care for every pet like they’re my own! I follow their normal routine, including feeding, fresh water, potty breaks, playtime, and plenty of love and attention. When visiting a client’s home, I’m respectful of their space and make sure their pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their family is away.
About: I have been caring for animals ever since I was little. As a child I would gush over animal fact books and spent my days watching animal planet! I have a true love for animals of all kind and spent many years caring for them. Not only did I have my fair share of a large variety of pets myself but I have cared for them in professional settings. I have worked in vet care and currently for PetSmart as well as working towards getting my herpetology license! I plan on also getting some training at my store to begin dog training! I hope I interest you and your pet and I promise to bring along treats with me to meet your special loved one! Be it fluffy, spiny, or feathery! My weekends are free for house sitting and weekdays for watching/walking in the mornings while you may be at work. I currently still live at home so other than small animals I am unable to offer boarding. As for walking and house sitting, I am completely drug free as well as smoke/alcohol free. I will happily be able to bring by my own food/snacks/drinks and possibly pet treats. I will clean after myself and never make a mess in your home. I follow instructions well. I am currently a College Student interested in pet care between classes to help pay for some of my college expenses. I work long shifts on the afternoon weekends, but in school days, the noon hours is typically my busiest part of the day. I’ve been trained at Petco in safe-handling practices for both dogs and cats, and I also have experience working in the veterinary field as a Veterinary Assistant. Animal care is something I genuinely love, and I’ve always been fascinated by animal behavior, body language, cognition, and the little ways animals communicate with us. When a pet stays with me, I want them to feel like they’re staying with someone who actually gets animals. I pay close attention to their personality, routines, body language, and comfort level rather than treating every pet the same. Some animals want to play constantly, some need time to warm up, and some are perfectly happy doing their own thing while I quietly keep an eye on them. I’m happy to meet them where they are. I also have experience with special-needs animals, which is something I genuinely adore. I’m comfortable adapting care around mobility limitations, anxiety, unusual behaviors, or extra supervision, and I have a lot of patience for animals who need a little more understanding. My own special-needs cat, Rue, is my first special-needs baby of my own, and caring for her has made me even more passionate about learning how to make an animal’s environment work for them. I love giving pets enrichment, playtime, affection, and opportunities to explore, but I also pay attention to the quieter things: changes in appetite, energy, bathroom habits, behavior, or anything else that seems different from their normal. Animals can’t tell us when something feels wrong, so I believe one of the most important parts of pet care is simply paying attention. Basically, my goal is for your pet to feel safe, comfortable, understood, and spoiled in all the appropriate ways while they’re with me!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
