“Laken was superb in taking care of Bruiser and Freya for 2 drop in visits a day over the weekend. Quality time was spend each visit ensuring the needs of both pups were well carried for. Photos and texts were shared during the visits. It was obvious they both were well cared for when I returned home. I will definitely call Laken for all future pet care needed. I highly recommend Laken for all Pet sitter needs.”

“Suzanne was very friendly and did an excellent job caring for and loving on my cat when I was away. I will definitely keep her in mind for the future and recommend her to others.”

“Monica was our first Rover sitter for our cat & she surpassed all of our expectations. We are incredibly grateful of how considerate, patient, and attentive she was with our kitten to ensure he had a good time while we were on vacation. Couldn’t recommend her more!”

“Olivia was fantabulous!! I was nervous about using a service to take care of my big old guy. I have always had family and friends available to take care of my fur babies until now. After meeting Olivia, I was able to rid my anxiety. She sent lots of pics. She loved on my fur baby at each of the visits she made while I was out of town. She sent updates and even gave him his meds. I will definitely be asking her to pet sit again.”

About: I have had animals my entire life and currently have 5 dogs, 5 cats and a horse. My full time job is on a farm taking care of horses so I have the ability to administer fist aid and medications and am comfortable with all sizes and shapes of animals. Also have experience with goats and pigs. I currently work part time and travel some for work so my schedule is flexible and easy to work around. I have the ability to work evenings and weekends when needed. I will make sure to follow all the instructions given to me to properly care for your pet. I have extreme attention to detail and am able to recognize if there might be a problem with an animal because my job has been to have an awareness about how an animal is acting for the past 10 years. I also have extensive experience with my own pets and different issues they have had through my life.
“Amanda B. did an amazing job with our 5 dogs while we were out of town for 2 days. It was a huge relief to know our fur babies were in good hands and I absolutely loved getting pictures of them each time she dropped in. Seeing them happy and playing around put my mind at ease. If you are considering a pet sitter, I highly recommend her!”

“Sara is absolutely the best! She goes above & beyond to provide the best care for our fur babies! She keeps us updated with her visit reports and pictures of our babies. Our babies love having Sara take care of them!”

“Christina was so so helpful spending time with Olive while i was gone! It was a very last minute trip, and she was so flexible and willing to help! Olive had a blast with her! ??”

“Mary took great care of my dog and 2 cats while I was on vacation! She updated me each time she dropped by and included pictures of my happy pets. I will be hiring her to take care of my pets again! Highly recommend.”

About: I've been around all kinds of dogs since I was a baby, and have been helping take care of dogs since I was 8 years old. I work part-time, and am available any time after 3pm. On the days I'm not working, I will be available for the full day. my schedule changes every week, but usually only work 3 or 4 days a week. I will not care for pets in my own home, as my dog does not do well with unfamiliar animals. I am, however, happy to pet-sit as long as I am given clear instructions on how to care for your pets.
About: I am Deaf & love animals. We have 4 pets. 2 dogs (Faye & Bella - sweet girls!), & 2 cats (Mister & Garfield - our boys!) I am willing to house sit any animals of any sizes/kind. I also know how to give dogs oral medications and such. I am willing to travel about 50 miles from my house to the location for services. Check out the calendar for my availability. Thank you for looking at my profile. If you have any questions, please contact me at anytime! Available anytime but would like to know ahead of time so I can accommodate with my schedule since I work from home running 3 businesses. I have 2 dogs and 2 cats that are freely roaming around my house. If necessary, I can come to your place if you’re more comfortable with that.
About: I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember and have cared for many of my own over the years. I understand pets are family, and I’m committed to giving them the love, attention, and comfort they deserve while you’re away. I treat every animal like my own and am always excited to meet new furry friends! I’m a college student with three online classes this fall, which gives me a flexible schedule. I’m able to plan my days around pet care and am available as early as needed. Whether it’s morning walks, midday check-ins, or evening cuddles, I’m happy to work around your pet’s routine. I’ll always treat your pets like family—because that’s what they are. Whether in your home or mine, I create a safe, loving, and calm environment where they feel comfortable and cared for. My own pets mean the world to me, and I’ll give yours the same respect, attention, and affection.
“Tony went above and beyond what was expected. Not only did he give our pets the love and care they needed but he gave incredibly thorough notes on what happened in each visit, as well as countless photos. He also gave details on training opportunities for our puppy Scout and was consistent in upholding those boundaries. We could not have had someone better looking after our babies and plan to reach out to Tony for services moving forward.”

About: I have been taking care of dogs for years. My own dogs are like my children and I have been training dogs for over 4 years with my own care. I treat every animal with kindness and love and I am always down for snuggles! I am available for evenings and weekends and depending on the time always down for walks! Please let me what schedule fits your needs. I would love to set up a routine. I am very much looking to assist you and your animals all your needs. I am flexible and willing to learn what is best for your dogs and any other animals in your home!
About: I have been caring for animals ever since I was little. As a child I would gush over animal fact books and spent my days watching animal planet! I have a true love for animals of all kind and spent many years caring for them. Not only did I have my fair share of a large variety of pets myself but I have cared for them in professional settings. I have worked in vet care and currently for PetSmart as well as working towards getting my herpetology license! I plan on also getting some training at my store to begin dog training! I hope I interest you and your pet and I promise to bring along treats with me to meet your special loved one! Be it fluffy, spiny, or feathery! My weekends are free for house sitting and weekdays for watching/walking in the mornings while you may be at work. I currently still live at home so other than small animals I am unable to offer boarding. As for walking and house sitting, I am completely drug free as well as smoke/alcohol free. I will happily be able to bring by my own food/snacks/drinks and possibly pet treats. I will clean after myself and never make a mess in your home. I follow instructions well. I am currently doing Rover full time and so I will have day round availability! That way I can insure the Saftey and correct care for your pet and leave them happy and healthy! Sadly, I have a cat and so not much can be said about her care that isn’t already well known. However, when caring for your pet, I always try to keep a 4 feet distance from myself and the dog at all times in case of unexpected pulling or emergency. I will ask you your babies allergies to insure the treats I bring along with me won’t mess up those sensitive tummies! I also ALWAYS pick up after the pets I watch.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
