“She did an excellent job checking up on my cat. She went above and beyond bringing my cat toys and gave me well written updates. I felt much more at peace knowing she was checking up on my little cat.”

“We appreciated Brooke taking care of our fur baby and sending us plenty of updates and pictures. We could tell Franklin was in good hands because he wasn't anxious and had plenty of zoomies. Brooke was awesome!”

“Genevieve has been great with my 2 dogs on her drop in visits over Thanksgiving and Christmas. My old Schnauzer can be territorial but let her in with out incident, after bribing him with some cookies. My other jumped the barrier when she came back he was so happy to see her. Great job and will look to get in the future when needed.”

About: Hello!! My names Tatum I’ve taken care of pets my whole life, my best friend when i was born was a weenie dawg, but i’ve had 4 dogs total in my life. I currently have 3 cuddly cats and a 1yr old, big ol handsome lab! I can do day or overnight sitting in my own apartment, I know there’s no straight access to a backyard :(( but i take my dog to the apartments dog park twice a day for 30-90mins. My apartment also has a nice big field right outside my door that i take them to go potty as many times needed! I don’t have any experience with shot medications but i sure know how to hide a pill in some cheese! We have plenty of toys to play with and my lab LOVES making new friends, he always has a ton of energy to keep your furr baby busy! If your dog needs to be crated or isn’t crate trained i can accommodate that, i have big crate here or you’re welcome to bring your own. Im available for overnight boarding/day sitting on the weekends (Fri@4:00pm - Sun@11:00pm) I work full time(M-F) 2 minutes away from my apartment and can go home on breaks. So if you absolutely need me to watch on a weekday i can make accommodations. I also have a camera in the living room to keep an eye on them. We can crate if crate trained if you feel more comfortable with that! My puppy had a bad chewing habit when he was little, so we keep the floors clean (except for toys of course) I can easily crate your dog if needed. Dogs are allowed on furniture for maximum cuddles :)
“Isabella was attentive and left great feedback after every drop-in. I never had to worry that three dogs would be too much; Isabella understood the needs of my diverse group’s needs and followed all instructions left for them. I would recommend and will be using again for peace of mind. Thank you,Isabella.”

“Ondrea was amazing in looking after my littles. They loved seeing her. She is prompt and very attentive to the fur babies. I highly recommend her and will be a repeat customer!”

“Olivia was fantabulous!! I was nervous about using a service to take care of my big old guy. I have always had family and friends available to take care of my fur babies until now. After meeting Olivia, I was able to rid my anxiety. She sent lots of pics. She loved on my fur baby at each of the visits she made while I was out of town. She sent updates and even gave him his meds. I will definitely be asking her to pet sit again.”

“Leslie was absolutely amazing! She took care of all the essentials when it came to my elderly dog max but more importantly she took the time to love on and snuggle with him every single visit. She was beyond trustworthy and so exceptional that I’m pretty sure when I got home he thought it was her coming to visit again. The pictures made me feel so good about leaving him in her care. She is the only one who will be watching Max in the future! If I could give more stars I would!”
“We had a wonderful experience! She was so friendly and sweet throughout the entire process. Most importantly, Taylor absolutely loved her. We would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring sitter.”

“Adaline was fantastic for us! She went above and beyond what was expected. She had a quick response and took care of us on very short notice. She was sweet caring to our animals and we had no issues whatsoever. She did a great job documenting everything during her visits and sent lot of pictures. Would definitely recommend!”

“Suzanne was very friendly and did an excellent job caring for and loving on my cat when I was away. I will definitely keep her in mind for the future and recommend her to others.”

“We are very grateful for Megan B.! We had never met Megan, yet we were in a huge last minute bind while we were out of town. She messaged instantly, and wasn't afraid to step in to the rescue despite never having me our kitty. Our cat has suffered a stroke recently, so I was really worried about him. Megan fed him per our instructions. She let our baby out for some fresh air in the backyard, and did a wonderful job helping us with the litter box, which was a godsend since we got home late that evening. So I highly recommend Megan B., and we will definitely solicit her availability again!”

“My dog has high anxiety and scared of people when she first meets her. Monica took her time to get to know my dog and more importantly was patient enough to let my dog get to know and trust her. Im so glad that I have met Monica and will be using her for the future!”

“Stacy was not only a great drop-in sitter, taking care of Chuck while I was away, she was incredibly patient and understanding while I went through an emergency that forced me to make several scheduling changes. Stacy will be my first choice as a drop-in sitter the next time a need arises. Thanks again!”

Highly recommend Makayla! She is kind, bright, and respectful. Great communication and care for our kitty while we were away for two weeks. Makayla made us feel at ease and it was evident our cat loved her :) If we weren’t moving out of state, we would rebook in a heartbeat.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
