“Lacey was so great taking care of all 3 of our fur babies. She even came before the booking to get the “run down” on how best to care for everyone! Our pets had a good time while we were away because of her genuine dedication!”

“This was my first time using Rover, I had a last minute trip I had to take. Brittany responded right away to be with my dog. She did a great job! She sent me pictures of my puppy and snuggled him, which he loves! I would recommend Brittany to watch and care for anyone’s pets!”

“Sara took such good care of our boy and had great communication with us while we were gone. Our puppy has a lot of energy and still needs daily training which she was able to keep up with it! She also took the absolute cutest pictures.”

“Leaving my dogs is always tough for me because I worry so much, but Angela was an absolute lifesaver. From the moment I met her, I could tell she was caring, attentive, and truly loves animals. She followed all of my instructions perfectly and sent me the best photo updates throughout the day. The extra time spent throwing the ball and playing in the yard meant the world to us. It made being away so much easier knowing my dogs were in such great hands. Highly recommend!!”

“Ray took such good care of our old dog! Ray's communication (initial contact, photos, daily updates) throughout the process was timely and thorough and we knew that our dog was in good hands the entire time. We will definitely look for Ray first next time we need this service!”

“My cat Luna is 15 years old! She was in wonderful shape when we returned home from 11 days on vacation with Kristy watching her. Kristy did drop in visits with her every day. She stayed longer than she was required to stay. Which was amazingly thoughtful. She kept everything super clean! Luna didn’t have any hotspots on her like she usually does when we go away. Kristy gave her lots of love! I got lots of pictures and everybody was very happy. We would love to have Kristy watch her again next time we go away. I’m grateful to her and grateful that we found this app so that we could find Kristy.”

About: I've taken care of dogs (and other animals) since I was a 12, but they were mostly my own. While in my last years of college I started watching friend & family dogs as a part time gig and it has become fairly consistent ever since. I love all animals and I've had the joy to watch many different kinds over the years...even some farm animals! Some might call me nuts, but I have watched a total of 8 dogs at one time. I'm always up for a little bit of chaos when it comes to pet sitting and I really enjoy giving owners the peace of mind that their babies are in good care. I just started a hybrid job, my work schedule is very flexible. For younger dogs I'm able to be at home more should their typical schedule require it. I only offer in home pet sitting. Over the years I've learned that it works much better for the pets to be in their usual environment. I like to come into the home and adapt to their life so its as stress free as possible. By doing so this also gives me the opportunity to "house sit" and keep an eye on the place as well. If needed I will collect the mail/newspaper/packages, water the plants, assist with any maintenance appts etc. Before going to a new home, I insist on coming by for a meet and greet to meet the dog/s and get a lay of the land to make sure both parties are comfortable.

About: I've been around dogs my entire life and currently have a dog of my own. I understand the importance of providing pets with attention, exercise, companionship, and a safe environment. I have experience feeding, walking, cleaning up after, administering basic care, and recognizing when a pet may be stressed or uncomfortable. Friends and family have trusted me to help care for their pets, and I treat every animal as if it were my own. I am dependable, patient, and committed to making sure pets feel comfortable, happy, and well cared for while their owners are away. I currently work mornings as a swim instructor, which leaves me available for pet care in the afternoons, evenings, and on many weekends. I am reliable, organized, and able to follow a pet's normal routine to help them feel comfortable while their owners are away. I can provide walks, feeding, playtime, potty breaks, and companionship. I understand the importance of communication and will provide updates and photos so owners can feel confident that their pets are safe and well cared for. I have a fenced yard and a dog of my own, so caring for pets is already part of my daily routine. I feed my dog high-quality food, walk him every day, brush him daily, and keep up with regular grooming and baths. I understand the importance of exercise, attention, cleanliness, and consistency in a pet's life. Whether caring for pets in my home or a client's home, I treat every animal as if they were my own and make their safety, comfort, and well-being my top priorities.

“Victoria was an absolute amazing sitter with our medium size Catahoula Black Mouth Cur. It didn’t bother her at all dealing with a larger pet. I could really tell she cared for him and wasn’t just doing a pet babysitting job. He usually doesn’t eat much when we are away but Victoria had a couple of clever ideas and he was eating and drinking like a happy fella. He likes people and doesn’t like being alone so Victoria’s hour visit twice a day really helped those lonesome times. She would play with him and his toys, take him outside and cuddle with affection to makeup the fact we left him behind. We received reports and pictures twice a day as well as text messages when she had questions about his lack of appetite and her ideas to help. I am very appreciative and thankful for Victoria’s hard caring work with our dog. We will confidently ask again for her services with our dog.”

“Paige was amazing. She was patient with old elderly dog and attentive to our youngest furry babies. Paige was prompt to respond to communication and far exceeded my expectations. Thank you Paige, we hope to see you again soon.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Hewitt
Madison was absolutely excellent. We have three large dogs, with one of the dogs being an elder. We left out of state to visit family for 4 days. Madison sent us pictures, She arrived on time to care for the dogs and let us know how they were doing daily. It was my first time to use Rover. At first, I was a little apprehensive allowing someone in my home, but she was absolutely trustworthy and awesome. I’m gonna find reasons to keep bringing her back. Highly highly recommend Madison.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
