About: I’ve been around animals for most of my life and genuinely enjoy caring for pets of all breeds, sizes, and personalities. I currently have a Ragamuffin cat named Jimmy and an energetic German Shepherd named Cleo, so I’m comfortable caring for everything from laid-back cats to large, high-energy dogs. I understand how important it is to have someone you can trust with your pets and your home. I’ll follow your care instructions closely, keep your pet’s normal routine as consistent as possible, and make sure they get plenty of attention, exercise, and affection while you’re away. I’m also happy to provide regular photo and video updates so you know how they’re doing. My schedule is very flexible, and I’m available most days of the week. I can often accommodate different times and schedules, including recurring visits and last-minute requests when my availability allows. My goal is to make your pet feel safe, comfortable, and stress-free while you’re away. Every animal is different, so I’m happy to follow your normal routine, feeding schedule, walking preferences, and any special instructions you provide.
About: I've taken care of dogs (and other animals) since I was a 12, but they were mostly my own. While in my last years of college I started watching friend & family dogs as a part time gig and it has become fairly consistent ever since. I love all animals and I've had the joy to watch many different kinds over the years...even some farm animals! Some might call me nuts, but I have watched a total of 8 dogs at one time. I'm always up for a little bit of chaos when it comes to pet sitting and I really enjoy giving owners the peace of mind that their babies are in good care. I just started a hybrid job, my work schedule is very flexible. For younger dogs I'm able to be at home more should their typical schedule require it. I only offer in home pet sitting. Over the years I've learned that it works much better for the pets to be in their usual environment. I like to come into the home and adapt to their life so its as stress free as possible. By doing so this also gives me the opportunity to "house sit" and keep an eye on the place as well. If needed I will collect the mail/newspaper/packages, water the plants, assist with any maintenance appts etc. Before going to a new home, I insist on coming by for a meet and greet to meet the dog/s and get a lay of the land to make sure both parties are comfortable.
“We are Blessed to have Kristy care for our 16 year old cat/fur baby, Luna. We are so happy to have her watch Luna because she’s not only a beautiful person inside & outside, but she’s loving, trustworthy & conscientious! Luna takes a day to get used to anything new. But she loves Kristy & when we arrive back home from our travels, Luna looks better than when we left! She walks around for a few days looking for something. I swear she’s wondering where her friend, Kristy is? Everything is always clean and she even came twice per day, on the last few days. She sends me the best pictures of our LuLu! I hope she will continue bless us with her loving care for our cat”

“Victoria did a fantastic job with my dog Shiner. Fed, water, and took him outside just like I was there. He was so glad to see me when I got home just like I was gone for the afternoon instead of 4 days. Will definitely use Victoria again.”

Erica was a life saver for us! She left our home cleaner than we did as we chaotically left for a wedding. She communicated throughout the day with updates. Even when we ran into some car problems she was willing to continue caring for our animals until we got home!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Hewitt. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
