About: Hello there! I'm Daniel. My love for animals began as far back as I can remember, and I’ve dedicated my life to caring for them—from dogs and cats to smaller pets and even insects. With 15 years of experience, I'm currently studying canine and feline ethology. I can offer basic grooming too (extra service) and am certified in pet CPR. My wife is also an approved caregiver, so your pet gets twice the love for the price of one. I'm glad to be here for you, as a helping and trusted hand! I work Monday through Friday, but I’m available after 2:30pm every weekday. On Saturdays and Sundays, I’m fully available. Overnights aren’t a problem either — there is always somebody at home and can handle morning meetings, so your pets are cared for around the clock! In our home, pets are treated like family. We’ve got two friendly cats who are used to visitors, a pet playground in our community, and a cozy balcony set up with water, toys, and a fan so they can relax. My wife, my son, and I all share the care — my wife has a natural love for animals, and even my homeschooled son has learned empathy and responsibility through caring for them. When I care for pets in a client’s home, I follow their routine closely — feeding, walks, playtime, and cuddles — just the way y’all would do it yourselves. My goal is always to make pets feel safe, loved, and at home, whether they’re staying with us or I’m looking after them in their own space.
“I was a bit nervous about trying Rover for the first time, but Kayla was amazing! She stepped in last minute and was incredibly flexible. She sent plenty of updates and even took some funny photos of my dog, which was so reassuring. I’ll definitely be booking with her again! Highly recommend!”

“Chantal was so great with my pup. She went above and beyond by walking my fur baby every visit (I couldn’t book both the walk and drop-in visit at the same time) upon my request. Chantal can be trusted: she checked in and left right on time and followed all my requests. She even played with my pup every visit. Chantal is now my go-to person every time I leave town. Thank you, Chantal!”

About: I've taken care of dogs and cats for over 7 years, in many different locations. I've always had a pet, both growing up and now, both cats and dogs. I've also lived on a farm so worked with all kinds of animals. I am currently stationed at Lackland and work during the week. I will be available in the evenings and on the weekends. And can housesit if you live near Lackland. I love walking and playing with dogs, especially when it's cooler out. It's always a win to me when they're exhausted and just want to sleep when they get back into the house. I can take your dog for a walk, depending on the weather of course (I will never make a dog walk when it's super hot out), I let them out in the yard if it is too hot. I will make sure to follow the rules of your home with your pet, whether it be crate for bed or allowed on furniture. I will make sure to give attention to your animals while I'm at your home, lots of love and cuddling and playing.
“Brad is great! I set out to make a more comfortable experience for my dogs while I was away and Brad provided that. The pictures speak volumes! He's on time, tentative, and involved. My boys loved him. Thank you for keeping them safe and updating me with your visits!”

“Yazmin took great care of my pups! She even put in the extra time with my dog that doesn’t care for strangers. She had great communication and always provided updates/picts! Will definitely be using again!”

About: I’ve been a vet tech in the army for 2 years. I love it! I’m trained in basic aid for dogs and cats including providing any medication. I have experience with multiple dog breeds small and big, aswell with cats. My military work hours are 6am-1pm with 1 hour lunch at 11am. I have a lenient boss and is more than willing to allow me to leave work early when something comes up. I have so much free time after work and on weekends which makes it a perfect opportunity to hangout with someone’s furry friend! I absolutely love animal interaction. I love going to the park on calm sunny days, it is calming and relaxing. I would love to bring a furry companion to enjoy it with!
About: I’ve always loved caring for animals and have been pet sitting for neighbors and family friends for years. I recently graduated from Texas Tech University with a degree in Animal Science, where I took courses focused on animal health, behavior, and training. During my time in Lubbock, I volunteered at a veterinary clinic and several animal shelters, where I gained hands on experience socializing and training dogs and cats with a variety of personalities and needs. Caring for animals is something I genuinely enjoy, and I understand how important it is to find someone you trust with your pets. Whether it’s going for walks, sticking to their normal routine, playing with them, or simply keeping them company, I strive to make sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I look forward to meeting you and your pets and providing them with the best care possible! Since I recently graduated, I currently have a flexible schedule and am not working a full-time job. This allows me to accommodate a variety of pet care needs. I can dedicate plenty of time and attention to ensuring your pets receive the care and companionship they deserve. I care for pets in their own homes, where they are most comfortable. I follow all owner instructions and make sure pets receive the exercise, attention, and care they need while you’re away.
“Repeat user here ✨ Stefanie is great with our dogs, super understanding, always sending pics and keeping us updated. Highly recommend and trust her with our fur babies”

“Michael was great. We had four cats, one which had to be kept separate and another with special needs, and he took care of them with no issues. I would definitely recommend him.”

About: With over **40 years of hands-on experience** caring for animals of all kinds, my heart and home have always belonged to the furry, the feisty, and the four-legged. From the time I could walk, I was surrounded by a vibrant mix of animals—**German Shepherds, Huskies, Labradors, Poodles, Pomeranians**, and even the more unexpected companions like **raccoons, squirrels, and capuchin monkeys**. Each one taught me something new about loyalty, trust, and unconditional love. Pet sitting isn't just a job for me—**it’s a calling**. I provide every pet in my care with the same love, patience, and gentle attention I’ve given to my own over the years. Whether your fur baby is energetic and playful or calm and cuddly, I tailor my care to their unique personality and needs. From belly rubs and playtime to medication and special diets, I handle it all with heartfelt dedication. My goal is simple: **to give you peace of mind** knowing your beloved companion is safe, happy, and deeply cared for while you're away. Because when you're part of my pet sitting family, your pets become my pets too. 💕🐾 7 days per week availability. Require a minimum of 2 days' notice to book. I work from home in my day job and am able to flex my schedule to most clients' needs with minimum required notice as per above. I am very meticulous in my care for your furbaby and take pride in my ability to be astute and attentive in my care whether in your home or while walking your furbaby. Rest assured they are safe in my company.
“Jacob was awesome he was super flexible when it came to times especially with how my schedule was, every check in he provided updates to my pets and was really helpful and understanding to my schedule.”

I am currently working part time but have a flexible work schedule. Days I do work my other job I am available in the mornings only but other days available all day! In my clients home I ensure to do a meeting first to get to know your animal and your preferences when feeding, dietary needs, and the location of care needs for the animal. “Danielle is always so thorough and attentive to my baby boy. Every time I go on vacation (short or long term), it’s always a worry free experience knowing that Danielle will be conducting in home visits for my dog.”

“Desiree was absolutely wonderful with our four furr babies. She went above and beyond with our cats, especially our youngest cat Snowy is super skittish when it comes with new people. She got Snow to purr ^^ Along with our medical cat, Asher, and our grumpy cat, absolutely adore her. Highly recommend Desiree!!! I didn't mention my other two cats, because they don't count lolz”

I have experience with all sizes and ages of dogs, and some experience with cats. I am in the army currently, I work from 6am-1pm with an hour lunch usually from 11-12. Most weekends I am here but occasionally I travel home to visit family. Other than that I am usually free all afternoon on weekends days and all day on weekends. “This was my first time using a sitter for my elderly cat. McKenzie was awesome. She went above what was expected and not only fed and talked to my cat but also played with the other two. She sent pictures of all of them and made my day. Fun was had by all. I will definitely be using this service and having her come back again.”
About: I have been caring for pets for more than 10 years, I belonged to shelters so I have experience even with aggressive animals, I love animals for this reason I respect and value them and I think they deserve the same respect and affection as human beings. I like to take care of animals even if they are not mine and I am very sure of giving them the attention and care they deserve since I am born to do it and I enjoy it and I know that people can rest assured that their pets are in my hands. Like everyone else, I need an income, but I need to study English since it is very basic, which is why I can take care of your pet during the day or at night at my home and on weekends. It is perfect since I can adjust the times to be able to work and study and do the two things that I love so much, which is why it is perfect for my day to day life. Your pet can walk freely as it adapts to my home. I will take it for a walk 2 to 3 times depending on the time of care and I will give it its food, games and itself and lots of love and above all I will take very good care of it. Any new home for them is something difficult and they will always need time to trust but I can assure you that I will earn that trust so that they feel happy and calm.
“I cannot stress enough how amazing Briana was. My dog fell sick with RSV a day before we were to leave for Thanksgiving with my family but all of a sudden she couldn’t be around dogs which jeopardized our holiday with family. Briana saved the day, gave Roxy her medicine, made sure she was fed and kept me well informed about how she was doing. An absolute Godsend! Myself and my family thank you Briana!”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
