“Eric cares or our pups like they are his own. Our younger one can be skittish with new people but took to him right away. And Eric cheerfully puts up with our old fellow's senility and the challenges yhat brings. We feel very fortunate to have found him!”

“Kerri is a straightforward communicator and very approachable, always willing to go the extra mile. Her professionalism inspired trust and peace of mind, so I asked Kerri if she would take care of Milo for almost another month, and she did. I was happy and relaxed because I knew Kerri was taking care of my house and Milo. Kerri is awesome!!!!”

“I am so grateful to have found Christina to take care of my girl, Honey. As she’s gotten older, Honey hasn’t been able to handle the stress of boarding anymore, she was always coming home sick and stressed out. Christina stayed in my home with Honey, allowing her to stay on her normal feeding, walking, and medication schedule the entire time I was away. Christina shared updates, videos and photos every day so I knew Honey was okay and having fun. Having that peace of mind allowed me to truly relax on my vacation for the first time in years! And I came home to my house cleaner than I left it, with a safe, happy, healthy doggo! Christina is the best, she followed my care instructions to the letter and I really believe she treated Honey like her own dog. I highly recommend Christina and will definitely be trusting her with Honey again the future!”

“Nikki was outstanding with our dogs! She definitely had her hands full with our 4 month old puppy! Our senior dog loved her to pieces and didn’t exhibit his usual separation anxiety when away from me. She sent many photos and updates throughout our vacation. We loved that. She is a genuine dog lover, compassionate, and kind! We will definitely be asking her to sit for us again!”

About: I am a passionate and responsible dog sitter/walker dedicated to providing top-notch care for your furry friends. With a profound love for animals and a commitment to their well-being, I strive to make your absence stress-free for both you and your beloved pets. I've had the pleasure of working with a diverse range of breeds, sizes, and temperaments. Whether it's a playful pup, a senior dog needing extra attention, or a shy canine friend, I adapt my care to meet their unique needs. I work from home Monday through Friday and have a very flexible schedule. I am available for pet care essentially all day. My weekends are a bit busier but I almost always stay local in the San Diego area. I will take special care of your pet while respecting your home and requirements for pet care. I want your pet to feel as comfortable as possible!
“Julia went above and beyond taking care of our animals. She was responsive and sent regular updates. We came home to happy pets who were clearly well taken care of. We really could not have found a better house sitter and I would not hesitate to book with her again in the future.”

“Clara was amazing with our two dogs. She took great care of them and sent lots of cute pictures during the stay. One can be very anxious in kennels so we were thrilled to have Clara in our house, and both dogs loved her. She even watered our plants - she takes great care with the location and the pets. I would highly recommend her and we would happily welcome her back!”

“Zannah took wonderful care of our dog for four days. She updated us daily with videos and photos and took our dog on lots of walks. We didn't worry about our dog during our vacation because we knew he was getting great care!”

“We couldn’t be more grateful for Rachel’s care and dedication while watching our senior dog, Kaia, during our weekend trip. What truly stood out was her flexibility and commitment to ensuring Kaia was well taken care of, no matter the circumstances. Originally, we planned to return Sunday night, but a strong winter storm changed our plans. When we reached out to Rachel last-minute to ask if she could stay an extra night, she didn’t hesitate to help. With road conditions still dangerous Monday morning, we ended up extending our stay another night, knowing Kaia was in great hands. Despite the storm hitting Acton hard and making walks difficult, Rachel made sure Kaia could get outside safely and kept our home well cared for. Her reliability and willingness to adapt to unexpected challenges gave us peace of mind throughout the trip. We highly recommend Rachel to anyone looking for a responsible, caring, and dependable dog sitter!”

About: I adopted my dog 7 years ago, and have helped her navigate the world as an anxious doggo. I’m well versed with medication admin, am very patient and take the time to understand a dog’s body language. Love doggos, belly rubs, behind the ear scratches and cuddles are my specialty ☺️ During the day I mainly work from home and my schedule is pretty flexible to fit in walks and feedings. Also able to stay home more if boarding pets. There is a smal fenced dog park in my building also lots of walking areas (not fenced) but very safe. Not traffic around and lots of friendly dogs, respectful of each other’s spaces
About: I always pay attention to a pets body language, even my own. I also have knowledge of CPR and the Heimlich maneuver on animals and how their size will change the approach. I have a lot of free time to safely, smartly, and comfortably take care of your pets while I work on my physical therapy education The trust of a pet is incredibly important to me. With cautious animals, I always make an effort to show I am not a threat and listen to the signals from even friendly animals.

About: I’ve been in the animal care field since 2022 and have done a little bit of just about everything! Food and Supply sales, assistant grooming, dog walking, pet sitting, and drop-in visits. In addition, I'm currently pursuing my associate's degree in animal care and have a wonderful 1-year-old lab/pitbull mix named Judy! I’m currently working part time as a dog walker, so my availability will be weekdays after 4PM until 10PM, and 8AM to 6PM on weekends (weekend sittings are available for full days on Sat/Sun) My yard unfortunately isn’t fenced in, so I always make sure my dogs are leashed and are wearing their collars with AirTags just in case. I don’t board dogs at my house due to the yard having no fence. When walking other dogs I always double clip their leash to their harness and collar.
About: I have taken care of dogs since I was 9 years old. My family has two large labs (13 years old and 6 years old) that I helped train since they were puppies. I often watch them for my parents when they go on vacation, so I am very comfortable with overnight care and love taking my pups for long walks. I also had a cat for 3 years in college. I love spending time with all animals!! I graduated college with my Bachelor’s degree and am currently living at home with my family. My days are filled with applying for jobs, going to the gym, making sourdough bread, spending time outdoors, and caring for my dogs. I have a flexible schedule, which allows me to dedicate plenty of time to walks, playtime, and giving pets the attention and companionship they need. I do not offer care in my own home because I want to keep my dogs’ environment comfortable and stress-free. However, I am happy to provide care in your home, where your pet will feel most secure and comfortable. I have a spacious SUV equipped with dog beds and a ramp for my older dog, allowing me to safely transport pets for walks when needed. My priority is always making sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owners are away.
About: I studied in the Veterinary Assisting program at Nashoba Valley Technical High School for 4 years, and graduated in 2025. During that time, I passed the TVMA Veterinary Assistant Certification (CVA) test. During this time, I became proficient in all of the skills a Veterinary Assistant would be expected to perform, and knowledgeable on relevant topics. I was also the recipient of the Certificate of Merit Achievement for Nashoba Tech’s Veterinary Assisting program. I had an amazing dog of my own who I loved and took care of for 10 years. I have also owned a guinea pig and taken care of numerous family cats throughout my life. I have been taking care of other people’s animals since I was 10 years old, watching the pets of family and friends. I am familiar with the care of all sorts of animals, not just limited to typical household pets. I have a lot of experience with animals with unique needs. My skills include fear free restraint and general handling, wound treatment, administration of medication, providing proper enrichment, and use of CPR. Here are some of the relevant certifications I have received: RESCUE- Veterinary Infection Preventionist Certification (September 2022) OSHA 10-hour Veterinary Certification (June 2022) Fear Free Certification (February 2023) Some of my other achievements: Recipient of the 2023 Massachusetts Student Achievement Award Member of the National Honors Society and National Technical Honors Society Selected attendee of 2023 MIAA Student Leadership Conference If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out! I am working part time as a doordasher, babysitter, and house cleaner, and my schedule is very adaptable. I prefer to schedule things at least two weeks in advance to keep a neat schedule. The farther out you book with me the more likely I am to be available, but I will still try my best to fit things in if they’re last minute. I take special care to ensure the animals I care for feel comfortable around me and are comfortable in their own homes. I always make sure to clean up after the animals and myself.
“Alyssa did a fabulous job with our senior lab mix. She was communicative and took wonderful care of him and our home while we were away. She administered medicine and gave him the space he needed to warm up to her. Would absolutely hire her again.”

“We enjoyed meeting Isa and found her to be poised and professional. She immediately took to our Berner, Cheska, and made her feel comfortable. We recommend her highly and anticipate engaging her again in the future!”

Anindita stayed with our dog for a week and did an excellent job. She communicated very well throughout the stay, kept us updated, and was thoughtful about bringing anything important to our attention. It gave us peace of mind knowing our dog and home were in good hands. We came home to the house in good shape and really appreciated the care she gave throughout the week. Highly recommend her!

Heidi was amazing! My cat had been having some health issues which I'm in the middle of sorting out and she was attentive and paid attention to all the things. I was a little apprehensive about leaving him but he was definitely in good hands. I came home to a happy cat and clean house!

Absolutely fantastic; Barry went above and beyond to make sure our house and animals were all taken care of while we were gone. He was communicative, attentive to our dogs and cat and left our house better than we did when we left 🙂. Would 100% recommend Barry and will use him again if we need care.

Thrilled to have Jamie help us out over the last week. We felt very comfortable knowing that Jamie's dedication and expertise were on the job. We received regular updates, and when I responded with some very specific concerns (very specific...about bunny behavior related to wellbeing), she immediately responded with knowledge and observations that gave me peace of mind. All pets were happy and healthy upon our return, household was neat and clean, and I was able to relax while we were away. We look forward to working with Jamie again.

We just moved to the area and didn’t feel comfortable leaving our one-year-old pup in the house by herself, so we booked Julianne for big a night out - 5 hours. She was awesome! Took Paisley out for a BIG walk and they hung out. I know Paisley was quite content because she didn’t hear us come in the door 😆. We will be booking again soon. Thank you so much, Julianne!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Village of Nagog Woods walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Village of Nagog Woods maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Village of Nagog Woods choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
