I'm sure we'll have a strong bond before the visit is over. I love taking them for walks because I love to exercise and they love it too! I work from home so I have a bunch of spare time and love to give. My attention will be on your pet 90% of the time if they're with me, even if I have multiple pets. I can even teach your dog some new tricks. You ever heard that saying "you can't teach an old dog new tricks" well that's not true when it comes to me. I’m currently working from home, so I have a very flexible schedule that allows me to be present and attentive to your dog throughout the day. Whether it’s overnight boarding or daycare, your dog will receive plenty of outdoor time, interaction, and care. I take them outside for exercise every 2-3 hours, and in between, they can relax in their crates provided by you. I’m also available for drop-ins and dog walks, making sure your pets at home are well taken care of, fed, and exercised. No matter the time of day, I’m here for your pets! When your dog stays with me, safety and comfort are my top priorities. I have a large yard where they can play and get plenty of exercise under my close supervision. For overnight stays, the dogs will stay in the crates you provide, which I make sure are covered with blankets and kept warm with space heaters when needed to ensure they’re comfortable no matter the weather. I also keep a close eye on dogs that may not socialize well with others to make sure everyone feels safe and happy. At your home, I make sure your pets are well-fed, exercised, and comfortable, providing the same level of care and attention as I would with my own.

About: I've had pets my entire life. I'm retired now and travel extensively for part of the year, so I'm unable to have pets of my own and thought this would be a great way to keep busy while I am in town. I have a doggy door and a large, gated backyard for games of fetch or hide and seek. I will provide a safe, loving home while you are away or drop-in if you so choose. When I'm in NOLA, I often work part-time from home. I'm retired so you could call me a homebody, and I'm often found working in my garden. In the fourth quarter of the year, I do travel until thanksgiving but will keep my calendar here updated. I am relatively flexible with scheduling. My son recently moved and took his Boston Terrier with him, so there are no longer any pets in my home. I have a large, fenced yard perfect for games of hide-and-seek or fetch, and I'm often in the back as well working on my garden. I do not have any plants that would present a danger. I love to take long, daily walks on the levee, which is only two blocks away...and would love to bring your pet along! I often have family visit, who also love pets.

About: Hello! I've shadowed and worked at an Animal Hospital, where I cared for boarded animals, maintained a clean and organized environment, administered medications, and monitored sick pets. Before her passing, my dog Mia was in my care for 15 wonderful years. During her final years, I managed her diabetes by administering insulin and closely monitoring her health to ensure she was as comfortable as possible. In addition to having my own pets and hands-on experience at the animal hospital, I dog and cat sit for my family during the summer or when they're out of town and need someone they trust to care for their beloved furry companions. Since it's summer and I’m currently out of school until the fall, I’m looking for a part-time job to stay active during the week. I have experience working with both dogs and cats and would love the opportunity to care for them. After all, who doesn’t enjoy spending time with dogs and cats? They’re the absolute cutest! My utmost priority is making sure that dogs and cats are comfortable, safe, and happy. I had a sensitive, velcro-dog whom I adored deeply, so I’ve learned to be especially attentive and gentle. Because I take such care with my own pets, I’m often even more alert and cautious when caring for pets that aren’t mine. When watching over pets, either my own or those of friends and family, I make sure that safety gates (such as “baby-proof” locks) are working properly to prevent pets from entering or leaving certain areas. I can crate or kennel dogs and cats when needed, or separate them into different rooms if that’s what’s best for their comfort or safety. If a dog or cat wants to go outside, I always make sure to use a leash and harness to ensure they stay secure. I also check that water bowls are full at all times and follow all instructions from pet owners carefully such as specific feeding times, portion sizes, and any special care needs.

About: I previously worked at an animal shelter for three years. I handled all dogs and cats, the nice and the not so very nice. I had over 20 adoptions of dogs alone, with two aggressive dogs changed to happy puppies. I currently own a dog who is absolutely great I’m a dog lover. I’m a stay at home mommy, I take care of my son and my 1 year old pup. I’m pretty flexible on time. If I’m not able to do specific dates, I will mark them as unavailable to help assist with booking times. Please ensure that your pet is good with babies and other dogs before hand. I do not want to have any issues between the dogs that will cause harm to my baby. I have a fenced in yard, and I also have a block that I walk my pup around. If you have specifics for your pet, please let me know. I am pretty easy going when it comes to the proper care for your fur baby!

About: I have volunteer experience for 3 years at my aunts vet . I would walk, groom, feed, and play with the dogs. The job was amazing, no dog left unhappy! I am home from college for the summer. However I do work from 4-9 most days at Baskin robins. Only 5 hours out the day I would be working which is not long at all. The pets will always be well taken care of with the help of my family while I am working. I care for all the pets the same. Each pet will get the best treatment. I treat as if their my own. Especially special needed dogs. If there are instructions on what a pet needs or can not have, it will be followed through and taking seriously. I go by the owners schedule.
