About: In the last decade+ I've taken care of half a dozen dogs and nearly a dozen cats for friends and through word-of-mouth, including a very senior chihuahua who was blind and deaf and needed diapers changed. I always had cats and dogs around growing up, including two difficult dogs from shelters who had issues. I live with an energetic pit-lab mix, and my parents' three rescue cats are still my sweeties. In the past I volunteered at an animal shelter, helping to socialize cats and walk dogs. I hike every day if I can, so if your dog enjoys vigorous exercise on trails, I can provide that too! I'm an adjunct college professor and freelance writer, so my work is part-time or sporadic, with much of it being done at home. If I'm available, I'll have plenty of time to linger and give attention to your pets! I'll follow your lead on what situations you're comfortable with for your pet, in terms of where I bring your dog for a walk, how they interact with other animals and people, etc.

About: I am incredibly attentive, responsible, reliable and have had dogs my whole life. I have administered medications to animals before as well as cared for dogs of various breeds and sizes. I am available to board your pet (s), (who have to be hypoallergenic or very low shedding due to minor allergies). I absolutely LOVE dogs - cuddling, playing, walking, brushing etc. I have extra doggie towels for when those feet get dirty, hypoallergenic shampoo for bath time if you'd like, organic soft treats, and extra poo bags! I have 10 years of experience in Healthcare. I am a loving, compassionate, and very responsible worker and person. You won't ever have to worry about last minute cancellations. I take pride in my work ethic in general and in how I conduct myself in the professional world. I am looking forward to meeting you and your pet(s)! About: My aunts and friends have always had dogs, so growing up I had a lot of experience with a wide variety of animals. I’ve helped my aunt train her excited Chocolate Lab puppy, taken care of my friend’s barky, 11 pound Mini Pinscher while they were away, and helped feed, walk, and play with my own household’s anxious, raw diet mut, Sheila. I know how to love and take care of any type of dog—from loudly outgoing to shy! I just finished my sophomore year of college and am looking to help care for anyone’s pets this summer. My schedule is open, so I am flexible to visit your pet whenever you need! I will gladly take your dog on a nice long walk and play with them around your backyard to release any pent up energy! Inside, I’m also up for playing with toys and giving lots of pets!

About: Relationship with animals has always been a passion of mine. I started grooming dogs with my grandmother at the age of 10, but was her assistant long before I earned the title. It brings me joy and fulfillment to care for pups and cats alike, while creating an environment where they (and you) can feel safe and earn my trust in the process. As a part time bartender at Pascolo Restaurant in Downtown Burlington, it would fit into my schedule to walk dogs in the morning, afternoon and early evening as well as weekends. There is a lot of freedom to work around your schedule :) In my home, I live off of Main Street in Vergennes and can provide safe walking around town as well as some of the trails near by. In your home, I am quick to adapt to whatever will make you most comfortable!

About: I grew up on a farm around all kinds of animals, so caring for them has always been second nature to me. I’ve loved and cared for many dogs of all sizes and personalities, and I genuinely enjoy making animals feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. I have a flexible schedule as I am in between jobs right now and have plenty of availability for pet care, walks, check-ins, and overnight stays. I try to keep pets as comfortable and relaxed as possible by sticking closely to their normal routines. About: I have 5+ years of experience with dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, and temperaments, including multi-dog homes. I also have experience giving medications and caring for pets with special needs (cones, diapers, etc) I stay calm, pay attention to details, and make sure each pet feels safe and comfortable. On Mondays and Tuesdays, I’m unavailable for about 6–8 hours at a time. Wednesday through Sunday, my schedule is flexible, allowing for frequent check-ins, walks, and potty breaks throughout the day. I try to keep pets on their normal routine as much as possible so they feel comfortable and less stressed while you’re away. That means sticking to their feeding schedule, walks, potty breaks, and whatever they’re used to at home. I pay close attention to their behavior and adjust based on their energy level and personality whether they want to play, go for a walk, or just relax. In a client’s home, I’m very respectful of the space and keep things clean and consistent. I also make sure pets get plenty of attention, and I always keep owners updated so they know how everything’s going.

About: I have had multiple dogs since I was a baby and absolutely love them! Having had a variety of breeds to grow up with I have learned a lot about dog behavior and safety. I walk my 3 dogs daily and feeding/cuddle time. I have bathed, walked, and watched dogs for neighbors and family. Taking care of a dog is like a kid your dog would get the best care with reliable responses and some cute photos while your gone :) This is my full time summer Job before college in the fall! I am fully available weekdays and weekends. My motto is life is constantly changing so I take same day bookings and cancelations. I am here for your dog and sometimes its unpredictable, my high availability can help take one thing off your plate! Staying with your dog or walking your dog, I would treat it like babysitting my past job, dog in sight at all times, it is properly cared for per owners' instruction or breed. Feeding time will always be done carefully and as instructed. My priority is to make your dog feel comfortable and safe. Playing and attention is not something to be worried about I have been doing that my whole life with my fur babies!

About: I grew up in rural Virginia, in a county bordering Shenandoah National Park. That area of Virginia is primarily known as being the horse capital of the country, and like every little girl, I fell in love with horses. In order to afford riding, I’d often trade farm work for time in the saddle; and so, I grew up surrounded by creatures great and small. Not only was I responsible for taking care of my family’s personal dogs and cats, but also the farm animals (in particular, 15+ horses at a time, farm dogs, and barn cats). My unique upbringing with horses and other animals has made me a versatile house sitter. Since I was 16 (5 years ago!), I have consistently been house sitting for families with dogs, cats, and horses. Moving to Burlington has brought me away from animals, as it is hard (nearly impossible) to care for a pet while being a full time student living in an apartment. Thus, I’ve joined rover in hopes of reconnecting with my four legged friends. I am happy to help care for your pets in whatever way you see fit! I love running, walking, hiking, or simply lounging, and am flexible to your pet’s needs. As an animal lover myself, I am committed to making sure your pet is happy and healthy! I work as a barista 4 days a week from roughly 7 or 9am (depending on my shift) to 3 or 5pm. My work schedule is usually planned a month in advance and any days that I am not working at the cafe I am available for dog walking or house sitting duties. In my free time, you can find me running, working out, reading, or painting. If your dog is an active creature, I would love to take them on runs or walks! If not, I am more that happy to care for them and keep them company while you’re away! I am not able to keep your pet at my apartment for extended periods of time due to my living situation with four roommates. However, I am more than happy to take them on adventures or visit your home to care for your pets!

About: I have been helping out friends and family with pet sitting for years. I enjoy being outside and staying active, love all animals, and am familiar with administrating medicine to older felines but am willing to learn for dogs/other breeds as well! I work part time as a server as well as a nanny. I have a rather flexible schedule and will be happy to meet clients in the middle with the frequency of potty breaks etc. I have worked with animals of all sizes and am capable of walking large dogs as well as putting them in their crates if needed. I’d be happy to do walks/ or just letting out in a fenced yard for a quick break.
