Makya was amazing with my two dogs. They had never been left alone but I’ve had trouble boarding them. Even Rolo who takes a bit to warm up ended up loving her. She walked them and hung out with them and really gave me peace of mind so I could enjoy my trip. I recommend her highly!!!

About: Caring for animals has always been something I genuinely enjoy. I’ve spent time looking after pets for friends, family, and neighbors—making sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable while their owners are away. Whether it’s long walks, playtime, or just keeping them company, I pay close attention to their personalities and needs so they feel right at home. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine, and I build my schedule around the needs of the pets I’m caring for. I’m available for morning, midday, and evening visits, and I ensure each pet receives consistent attention, exercise, and care. I keep my schedule organized so I can be reliable and fully present for every visit. I care for pets in their own home where they feel safest and most relaxed. I stick to their usual routine—meals, walks, playtime, and downtime—so nothing feels disrupted while you’re away. I spend quality time with each pet, not just quick visits, and always make sure they feel comfortable, cared for, and loved. I also keep you updated so you have peace of mind.

About: I have been in the animal care trade for over 20 years and been pet sitting since I was 14 years old. Working in shelters, Vet Clinics, and pet sitting has given me the opportunity to take care of a wide variety of animals. Most notably, I have cared for aging pets, farm animals, and disabled pets and administered multiple types of medication. My goal is to give the best care to every animal I meet. I am a stay at home mother right now. So I am free 90% of the time. Other then when I am in car line I am free to take care of your animal. I do not stay overnight due to being a mom. However when you book me for an overnight stay I will stop by your home at least 3 times a day. Stopping by very early in the morning, mid-day, and later at night. I try to stay at least an hour each time. I will treat your animal as if there are one of my own. I will try to make it a stress free time for you pet. So that when you get home you will have the happiest and healthiest pet. I can access Fort Liberty. Can give references upon request.

About: I was born and raised with dogs, cats, birds, and horses. I’ve never known a time in my life without animals! From farm animals to household pets, I’ve cared for them all. I’m a big proponent of positive reinforcement and prioritize gentle care and minimal stress for your pet. I’m comfortable with complex medical needs, seniors, and "quirky" pets. I’m happy to adhere to routines and training for continuity. I’ll treat your pet with the same love and care that I treat my own ❤️ I’m doing animal care full time at the moment so I have a flexible schedule. I can work in midday visits, late night check ins, and multiple visits. Whatever works best for you! I’m happy to take your pup on neighborhood walks, play in the yard, or go on outings to Sniffspots or parks. I can drop in and check on your cats or spend time doing enrichment activities. I’ll treat your home with respect as I would my own and can take care of house sitting chores while you’re out of town as well. At my home, I have a large fenced yard and three very playful dogs. A large greenway runs through my neighborhood and is shaded for year round walks. I can crate your pup separately as needed.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
