“Lindy was fantastic! She helped me when I was in a pinch and was always quick to respond. She sent lots of updates and pictures throughout the stay and clearly has lots of experience with dogs. I know Kucik was taken great care of; I will go back to her anytime I need a dog sitter in the future!”

“Victor was amazing with our dog, Summer! Not only did he stand daily photos of her looking happy, but he was extremely flexible with drop off and pick up. Even when we hit stranded out of the country fur two extra days, Victor was incredibly accommodating and we never had ti worry about our Summer. His home is clean and spacious, with a perfect fenced outdoor area, and he obviously loves pets. I would 100% book with Victor again and highly recommend him without hesitation.”

“Annie took amazing care of my pup. I knew the entire time she was loved and had a great time! Highly recommend and will contact Annie again soon to book another sitting. Thank you so much Annie!!”

“I needed a boarding for a couple of nights for my dog, Kinako, at the very last minute. Jessica and her family were very accommodating to my request. When we had a meet in the evening before, I had a faith and I knew they are the ones! Kinako immediately made herself comfortable at their home. Their dog is sweet and friendly. They made friends with each other right away. While I was away, it was great to see the update picture, and I felt at ease. When I picked Kinako up, I could tell that she had a wonderful time at their lovely home. Thank you so much for everything you have done for us. Kinako and I are looking forward to the next opportunities.”

“Lucia is wonderful. She sent tons of photos and updated us so often. I felt completely at ease leaving my baby with her. We will definitely ask Lucia to watch Cara again (if she’ll have her ?)”

“I couldn’t be happier! They treated my girl like family!!! Super accommodating, checking in all the time tons of pics! Honestly I will never board her else where unless I have too! They are the BEST!”

“Taylor did a great job with our Old English Bully. Our Luna is a high energy unique Bully and Taylor was able to keep up! Taylor has great communication and she is mindful about the dogs needs and behaviors. Luna had a great time and we were able to relax and enjoy our time away.”

“Desiree did an excellent job with our two dogs. She was friendly, responsive, and professional. She has the perfect set up to care for your animals and she sends timely updates and photos during the stay. I strongly recommend booking with her.”

“Mr Murphys stay with Heather was wonderful. He is a very anxious dog when he is away from his mom and Heather went out of her way to make both Murphy and me feel comfortable and well taken care of. She sent pictures frequently and answered my texts about how he was doing very quickly to reassure me. I was very nervous about leaving him with someone, but I felt totally comfortable with this family. I think he got lots of love and playtime with them. When I picked him up, he went back and sat on Heathers lap on the floor which speaks volumes to me that he thought she was great too. Hopefully we will be back to Pinehurst and he can stay with them again. Can't thank you enough!!!!”

“Haley has always been wonderful for my sister and I’s pups! She is a great communicator and provides such a safe environment. We will absolutely continue to book with her when we go out of town!”

About: I became a dog mom at 19, and have been dog-sitting off and on ever since! While the extra income is always nice, I mainly do it to prevent coming home with a new puppy every week. I treat all the dogs I meet like they're my own and give them as much love as I do to my own babies - an 11 year old Lab mix and 6 year old German Shepherd! They both have loved every dog I've ever had staying at my house. I'm comfortable with all breeds and all ages, and have no problem giving medications if needed. I am available during the daytime for long walks and have a very flexible work schedule, which means a lot of play time for your pup! I’m currently working remote part-time and have the flexibility to choose my own hours, which means I have plenty of spare time during the day to spend with your pup! I treat your pets as if they are my own, giving them the same amount of love and attention if not more! I always make sure they are well cared for and that the client comes home to a clean house and happy pets!

“Lindsey and Timothy were excellent with my bulldog. My dog had so much fun with their family. I was always updated and given photos and videos throughout his stay. I was quickly responded to with any questions or concerns. I definitely will be using them again and I know that my dog will be excited to see them again.”

“Evelin and Joel were great hosts, and took good care of Niki while we were out of town. Their place was well suited for three dogs, and Niki was fine after the initial meet-and-greet. Evelin and Joel kept us up to date with pictures and comments while we were gone. Thanks! Al & Billie”

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
