“My dog is a little shy/nervous so I was hesitant to leave her with a sitter she didn’t know. But Victor put me at ease, and seeing all the photos he sent of Juni having fun confirmed he was taking good care of her. I’ll be using Victor again the next time I travel.”

“Our pup was very well cared for while we were gone. I would 100% recommend them to any friends with animals and we will be coming back! They have a beautiful house and yard. Our dog was beyond happy at their house! Thank you!”

“Sadie always enjoys her time with your family. You take care of her like you would if she was a member of your family. We will remember your family in the future when we need a sitter.”

“All went great Bella was a happy girl! She is going back in a couple of days for a longer visit. I am not worried in the least with having to leave her, knowing she will be well taken care of!”

“Haley was just outstanding. What was supposed to be 1 overnight turned into all week and Haley was very accommodating. Finn loved his stay there and I would certainly recommend. Kept us up to date each day on how he was doing and how he was interacting with other dogs. Thanks so much.”

“Alexandra was amazing with my dog! I got pictures every day and I could tell he was having a blast every day. He got lots of love and exercise. I’ll definitely be boarding my dog with Alexandra again.”

About: Is your dog giving you the ultimate guilt trip as you grab your keys to leave? You know, the one that says, How dare you leave without me? I get it. I’ve grown up with and cared for dogs my whole life! From German Shepards to Chihuahuas they’re all special in their own way and your pups deserve to be cared for just as well when they’re with me as they are with you! So don’t worry, I’ve got this. While you’re out living your best life and working hard, me and your four-legged family member will be throwing our own little party. Walks, belly rubs, zoomies, you name it. Need support? Send me a message. Your pup and I have plans! I’m currently home full time during the week, so I have plenty of flexibility for walks, drop-ins, daycare, and boarding. My schedule can vary with appointments and commitments, but I’m usually able to make things work, especially when we plan ahead! Safety and trust are very important to me and I want to ensure you feel just as comfortable as your pet does while we hang out together! I’m willing to work with your and your pet’s needs.
“Taylor did a great job with our Old English Bully. Our Luna is a high energy unique Bully and Taylor was able to keep up! Taylor has great communication and she is mindful about the dogs needs and behaviors. Luna had a great time and we were able to relax and enjoy our time away.”

“Maria was amazing!! This was my first time using her so the fact that she allowed me to do a meet and greet ahead of the scheduled stay so my fur baby could warm up to her, really put my mind at ease. I appreciated the daily updates. I could tell by the pictures that Milo felt loved and right at home😊 Would definitely use her services again!!”

“My dog has high anxiety with people he doesn’t know. I’ve tried a lot of options for his care without much peace of mind. I decided to try in-home care with Heather. She sent photos and videos everyday my boy looked so happy! She was organized and a great communicator. I trust her. Finally, peace of mind!”

“Mary did a wonderful job with our dogs! She has a nice big fenced in yard which was perfect for them! Our dogs arrived happy and left happy! Mary was accommodating to all of our pets needs. She sent us a few pics of them while we were away as well. I was not worried about our pet our all while in her care. Communication and response time with her was excellent!”

About: I became a dog mom at 19, and have been dog-sitting off and on ever since! While the extra income is always nice, I mainly do it to prevent coming home with a new puppy every week. I treat all the dogs I meet like they're my own and give them as much love as I do to my own babies - an 11 year old Lab mix and 6 year old German Shepherd! They both have loved every dog I've ever had staying at my house. I'm comfortable with all breeds and all ages, and have no problem giving medications if needed. I am available during the daytime for long walks and have a very flexible work schedule, which means a lot of play time for your pup! I’m currently working remote part-time and have the flexibility to choose my own hours, which means I have plenty of spare time during the day to spend with your pup! I treat your pets as if they are my own, giving them the same amount of love and attention if not more! I always make sure they are well cared for and that the client comes home to a clean house and happy pets!
“Very pleased with Alex watching my best friend for 2 nights. He immediately put me at ease when I dropped off my pup and I had no worries after that. Gracie was safe and happy. When I get back to Sanford, I will definitely look to board with Alex again. I highly recommend Alex to care for your "rover". Thank You Alex!”

“It’s been such a great experience being able to have Rock looked after while I’ve been away. It’s been so hard for me because we’ve not been away from each other for this long but Ernesto reassured me with pictures and comforting words that helped more than he knows. Rock is 89+ lbs and a Rottweiler so leaving him with just any one wasn’t an option for me but when we meet I could tell not only was he a trainer but he loves what he does. He was informative, making sure he answered all of my questions and or addressed all of my concerns. Rock will be back in the near future I'm sure!”

“My dog Star was well taken care of. He was provided with lots of cuddles and hugs while I was away. I think he even got a bath of some sorts. I will use Brooke again to watch Star if I go out of town. Thanks!”

“Jess is phenomenal! Excellent and quick communication for a last minute booking. She took such great care of my senior dog and even sent me pictures during the stay. Bonnie wasn’t sure she wanted to leave 😆😅 Thank you again, Jess!”

“Ercilia is absolutely wonderful with Angus. He's a senior dog with many senior issues and medications. She's always very kind to him and compassionate about his problems. She does a great job with him and he's always happy to stay.”

“Jennifer is kind and friendly to both people and dogs. She even sent photos of Daisy while we were away so we could see that all was well. We will ask Jennifer to keep our pup again I'm sure.”

“Thank you for taking such great care of Wilmer! I really appreciated all the photo updates and seeing the fun walks he was going on. It made me feel happy to see updates and reassured while I was away knowing he was in good hands. Would definitely book again.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Carthage
William was great. My husband was completely ill prepared to drop of Duke (I am always the one responsible for this but was out of town already). William didn’t miss a beat and happily provided Duke with all the missing amenities that one should bring 🤦♀️ (bowls, crate, etc). Our dog came back very happy and tired. We also really enjoyed the videos that he sent of Duke! William was easy to communicate with and well prepared for our dog, who is a ball of energy.
William watched my big ol’ GSD X for 5 days straight. Kept me updated with pics throughout the time. Gladly accommodated with giving the last few days of my dogs ear meds. His dogs were great in giving my dog company. Overall, William was a great choice! Will most definitely be using him again if the situation arises.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
