“Needed service last minute for holidays! fast response and better service couldn’t be more happy! My dog really enjoyed her time! Highly recommend!! I never take time to leave reviews but she was a must!!!”

About: I have animal shelter experience and as a result, have worked with several different types of animals with different personalities and am very flexible and capable of working with very different acting animals. I have a very open and free schedule so I'm able to come and check on the pets as often as needed. I can spend long periods of time with the pets when needed. In the clients home, I will care for them according to the clients standards and by following instructions down to the letter in order to prevent issues.

“Natasha has done WONDERFUL with my pup! She’s one of the few we’ve met that Bleu trusted right away and didn’t bark upon meeting her with me! She has been on time and Bleu seems to really be happy when I get home - so I know she’s doing great with her!”

About: I grew up with cats and have been taking care of people's dogs for many years. I was often the go to person for dog sitting in my co-housing community where I lived until recently in Santa Fe, NM. I moved back east at the end of 2022. I will be back in Santa Fe from September 20-October 7. *Please note that I charge $30 for meet and greets. I can add this on to your total booking fee or you can pay some other way. This ensures that people have a serious intention of booking when they ask me to come out and meet them and their animals and it also ensures that I am compensated for the time I spend doing this. Thank you for your understanding!* In the spring of 2022, I completed my graduate school classes in art therapy and clinical counseling at Southwestern College in NM and am working towards growing my business as an artist. I have the flexibility to pet sit often during this transition. I do not have an "online job". I take my artwork with me when I housesit and work on things that I can do at other people's homes (like sewing). Because of this, I am able to spend most of the time pet sitting at home with the animal. I enjoy connecting with both cats and dogs in their homes. I like taking dogs out on long hikes and I am a cat whisperer.

About: I've been surrounded by animals my whole life, from sweet puppies and playful kittens to guinea pigs, rabbits, chickens, and even goats! Growing up with such a variety of animals has given me a special understanding of their needs, and I truly enjoy showering them with love and attention. I’ve also shadowed veterinarians and worked as a kennel tech in high school, gaining hands-on experience in administering medications and managing feeding schedules. Whether it’s making sure a senior dog is comfortable or following a pet’s unique diet, I’m dedicated to providing the best care. You can trust that I’ll treat your pets like family, with all the love and care they deserve while you’re away. As a college student, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to have mornings and evenings off with the bulk of my classes being held at lunch. I would gladly work around your schedule to make sure I can care for your pet and make your baby a priority! When caring for your pets in the comfort of their own home, I make sure to keep their routine intact, including feeding, walks, playtime, and rest. I provide plenty of companionship and engagement to keep them happy and comfortable while you're away. I’m experienced in administering medication and following specific care instructions for senior pets or those with special needs. Safety is a top priority, so I ensure that your home and pet are secure at all times. I also send regular updates, including photos or texts, so you can relax knowing your pets are in good hands. I take care to respect your home by keeping it clean, picking up after your pet, and ensuring everything runs smoothly while you're gone.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs for a few years now. I understand your dogs are your babies so taking care of them and modifying to their needs is one of my biggest priorities! About: I have professional experience caring for dogs and cats of various sizes and temperaments as a kennel care attendant. I'm also working towards my bachelor's degree in wildlife rehabilitation! I've owned all kinds of pets growing up from dogs and cats to mice, bunnies, birds, fish, and even a snake and a frog. I will treat your pets the same as my own, with respect and complete adoration. I'll even send you pictures of your pets during each visit for when you're missing your babies. I'm currently working towards a bachelor's of science degree, so I'll be pretty busy in the morning on weekdays (when in Banner elk, nc). My schedule usually calms down after 12pm, except Teusdays which are very busy. Please feel free to message me about what you're looking for and we can see if things will work out. I will not be able to stay at your house 24/7 due to my schedule. I will also have to go home for school breaks (winter/summer/spring). When I am at home (Newport News, VA), I will be available 24/7. Just message me and I'll let you know if my location has changed or will be changing before the date you need. But I will be doing my best to change my location on here in a timely manner. I'm a big advocate for playtime. I won't just stand around your house during the scheduled visits and let your dog be bored. We'll play with toys and run around and if you have a fenced in yard you can be sure I'll be out there throwing a tennis ball or playing tug of war with your pup until they're exhausted. I'll make sure our walks leave your dog well excersized and ready to nap for hours after we get home.

About: I have owned cats and dogs my whole life so I have experience caring for them. I have raised litters of kittens from birth multiple times. I also have a degree in wildlife rehabilitation which is helpful in pet care because I have experience with messy situations, baby animals and unexpected circumstances! My schedule is pretty flexible this summer. I’m typically always available after 5 and weekends. I’m also typically available every other morning but can stop by early morning if needed. I unfortunately cannot offer up my own home/ dorm but would do my best at the client’s home. I am more than willing to spend extra time with pets and ensure they are cared for and happy.

About: I have professionally shown, trained, and groomed dogs for 8 years. From grooming pets to training service animals, I am well versed and experienced in caring for animals. I have graduated from college, and I have open availability to spend time with your pet and make them feel at home while you enjoy your vacation! I am careful to ensure that each pet gets their individual needs met daily, whether that requires multiple walks a day, one on one play time, or anything else that they may need.

About: Animals just relax around me. I’ve worked with many pet owners who are apprehensive to leave their pets with anyone due to the pet’s nervous temperaments, and other various quirks, and every single time the animals have surprised their owners by completely settling in with me. I prioritize play, love, and connecting with each individual pet I watch however they specifically need. I’ve looked after animals of all breeds, ages, & temperaments- from anxious & fussy older pets to energetic young puppies. I have experience administering medications to sick animals, hand feeding injured puppies, walking several pets at once, and managing dogs & cats that are a bit wild. I’ve even cared for lizards, turtles, fish, plants (haha), hamsters, birds, & rabbits. Whatever their needs, I will make sure they feel safe, loved, & at home while they’re with me. I am a full time potter who just opened an art gallery in downtown Blowing Rock. I run the gallery Wednesday-Sat 11-5 and Sunday 1-5. Beyond those hours, I can make myself available to spend time with your pet(s) either at my home or yours, as frequently as is needed. If your pet needs a potty break midway through my shift, I may be able to accommodate by having a friend cover my gallery mid day to run to let them out. Otherwise, I’ll just be sure they get a good thorough walk before and after my shift. I live in a peaceful home with a large fenced in backyard, and nice quiet streets to walk with your pet as needed. I will follow whatever routines you generally stick to and prefer when working with your animals.

About: Ever since my family got a collie as a pet when I was a kid, I have been in love with dogs. That has only enhanced as I’ve grown older and cared for my own. I am currently working remotely from home with a flexible schedule, so I have plenty of time to care for and love on your pets. Prior to walking your pets or stopping by for feedings or playtime, I would like to meet you and your pets first, if possible. That way we can make sure we all feel comfortable! It will also give us a chance to talk through instructions and expectations. I know this isn't always feasible and that's ok.

Syd D.
“Syd has been an avid pet love their whole life. Ever since they were a little kid all they have ever wanted to do was to take care of animals. It never mattered what kind either. Frogs, snakes, lizzards, chipmunks, dogs, cats, etc...they have experience working with them all. Now they are majoring in wild life rehabilitation at a tremendous school in order to fulfill their lifelong dream of helping as many animals as they can. A type 1 diabetic since 18 months old forced Syd to grow up very quickly and learn about self care and responsibility at a very early age. This has only gotten stronger as they have grown and now that same responsibility encompasses every aspect of their life. Syd is an amazing person and the biggest animal lover you will ever come across. Nobody will make a better caregiver than Syd.”
